I placed a reservation on Monday, April 27, and whoever I was on th ephone with said they would be able to get me a dolley in Battle Mountain Nevada. When I called a couple days later to change my pick up time to an earlier time she said that was not available because the store didn't open so we chnaghed our pickup date to another. I then got a call from Jaden, a manager, he said there wasn't a dolley big enough for our car so he was going to upgrade us to a trailer but I told him we couldn't use a trailer, he then told me he'd call me back with measurments of a dolley they have to make sure it would fit. He never called back and I left several voicemails for him to call me. I decided to just call U-Haul and figure it out. They told me they were no dolleys in the close areas and the closest was TWO HOURS AWAY. I was not impressed. We finally settled because we spoke to Amanda and she gave us one day free and 50% off. I am upset because I made a reservation for a dolley in Battle Mountain and we had to drive four hours for a dolley. It was a joke, next time I make a reservation I hope it isn't a shitshow.

Trailer had a low tire was aired up next morning tire was flat called for service after loading went to reno to airport when stpped to fuel other tires looked low the other tires were 30lbs or lower when I turned truck in was charged 43dollets for 100 miles over after paying 1600.00 over

U-Haul requested that I return my rental to this location which was different than the agreed upon return location on my contract. I have, in writing, where U-Haul offered to reimburse me $50 for doing this. U-Haul DID NOT reimburse me. Additionally, when I arrived at the unmanned return location, I called U-Haul to verify whether I needed to clean the exterior of the U-Haul or not. There was a pay and spray wash adjacent to the return location. I was told by a U-Haul representative that I only needed to ensure that the interior of the rental was clean. Approximately 2 hours after dropping the rental, I received an email that the return location was charging me a $25 cleaning fee. I have since reached out to U-Haul multiple times, but I have not gotten a response yet. I have normally had a positive experience with U-Haul, but this will deter me from using them in the future. It is dishonest and lacks integrity.

Out drop off location was changed. When we went to the new location no one was at the office. We called the U-Haul main phone and they said we could do a return online and would send the link which never came. I found the link on the website but it just took more time than we expected. And we had to leave our copy of our rental contract with the keys. I also never received a confirmation of the return. I called the drop off facility and they said it was fine but I have no receipt showing the final charges.

The confirmation email should let customer know to call the dispatcher for info on "self pick up".


Try not to be rude and you might also try to be open during regular posted business hours.

Have equipment available. We reserved a truck it wasn’t returned we had to drive to Lovelock, 89 miles away to get a truck. Don’t appreciate the added expense because of your lack of equipment.


Rich at Lovelock was outstanding...friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. But, Lovelock is 94 miles away from where I wanted to pick auto transporter up at!

This is a small shop. Vehicle was a newer model but the windows were so dirty that it was hard to see out of.


Packing materials and tape would be helpful.


Got 3 diff pieces of equipment, 3 separate contracts, and yet he wants to charge me 39.)) extra for the truck, but yet the Transport and Dolly were ok with out extra charges. !

Renting from Winnemucca was the problem for us. Made a reservation 3 wks. prior & were told they couldn't guarantee. Day before we moved u- haul sent us to Fallon, the truck we needed was not turned in. We were told to go to Lovelock, they were great! Felt a lot like a run around??

It was a car dolly. It gets towed behind a truck. It is going to have dirt on it. It was well maintained. It was just what we needed. Thank you.


A week should be ample notice to provide a requested truck and if one is not going to be available then the customer should be notified prior to the morning the truck is needed

Our experience was very positive. We wanted a 17' truck but one was not available in our small rural town. We had to drive to go get our truck, but we were upgraded to a 20' truck for the same price. It all went very smooth.


Closed when should have been open to pick up my truck. I ended up having to go to Fallon to get a truck. I don't think I should have had to pay for in this circumstance.


I understand that U-HAUK takes advantage of the fact that "small" businesses can spread the availability of the product over a larger geographic area. These small businesses often have irregular hours and might be closed on a Sunday or a Wednesday. That works fine EXCEPT for the fact that if I wanted to return on a Sunday they would be closed. The Lovelock site does not have an answering machine. The owner has a cell phone but that is an unlisted number. Rich is a really nice guy he offered my wife and I cookies while we were waiting to pick up our rental. He followed up after we dropped off when he was not available. All positive traits EXCEPT... no business which rents by the day can be unavailable on any day for a return... JUST MY 2 CENTS and he was unavailableon Veterens day.
