I would say of all of the times I have rented a truck this was by far the best.

I needed a 6’X12’ trailer with two dollies. I reserved by using the phone number as the website was not working and kept giving me an error message. The rental was at Sunburst Market for Saturday, 10 AM to Monday, at 10 AM. When I got to the location on Saturday, the lady was great and helpful. She informed me that the location did not have dollies. That’s not her fault, but why did the system allow me to rent dollies if they were not available. Other than the dollies not being available, there were no other U-Haul issues. We were able to complete all tasks and return the trailer by Sunday at 3:30 PM. The store attendant stated he did not know how to return U-Haul items, but I can do it online. Okay, no problem. I made sure the trailer was clean and in the same place I got it from. The next morning, I realized I did not do the return online (my fault), so I logged into the computer and watched the very informative video. It stated I needed to be on site with the app on to do the return. I quickly left my house, since I had to be at work, and went back to Sunburst Market on Monday, 7:45 AM on the 22nd. I tried to use the app to return the truck, but the app put me in a loop. I kept trying to hit the “Return my rental” button, but the main page kept loading. I asked the attendant if he knew how to return a trailer, initially, he was helpful. I explained a few times that I returned the truck on Sunday, but it wasn’t due until Monday at 10 AM. The attendant was able to get the app to work on the store’s device and started the return. He then informed me there might be additional charges. I, at this point, was frustrated (to be honest) and said, “Why? The trailer is not due until later today, I turned it in yesterday?” He then informed me that I need to stop giving him an attitude. That I should not be mad at him. He is helping me, and I can return the trailer someplace else. I informed him, that the trailer was due today at 10 AM, this is where I picked up the trailer and I was told the place I had to return it. He stated he does not know my situation. At that point, I thought, if you don’t know my situation, why are you telling me additional charges may occur, but I didn’t say anything as I wanted this done and over with. Eventually, he finished the transaction, and I can see on the app that the trailer was returned. Everyone should be trained on how to issue and perform returns for U-Haul. This would have prevented a lot of the return issues. Also, if dollies are not available, I should not have been able to rent them. This whole process was frustrating.
