I do not recommend anyone to rent the older GMC 26 ft truck, Worst riding truck i've ever rented! Lousy gas mileage also. U Haul should retire this model immediately. There's no comparision to the newer Fords.I know 26 ft trucks are hard to find in california but this was ridiculous. U Haul can do better! Not To Happy! Judy Orr/Jeff Mathis

The truck was very dirty with lots of bug guts all over the front of the truck. The right rear view mirror would not stay up - very dangerous. Sliding door would get stuck where we could not close it. The ramp would not close all the way. And I was charged 3 extra days more than the original reservation.

Gentleman was helping a couple, just quit talking to them and addressed us, he didnt check the truck, when we picked up there was less than 1/4 tank. We left it with a half tank. He said he would take keys , and we left

When someone rents additional equipment for their move (like a hand truck, for instance) it would be good for that equipment to be with the vehicle. And when calling to try and find out where said equipment is, perhaps call back and try to rectify the situation.

There were so MANY issues with this experience and none were good. Firstly, the U-Haul was not clean (then they indicated that I did it!!); secondly, they DID NOT walk the U-haul with me PRIOR to me vacating the property, I feel this is NOT OK and I inquired about it and he said (Ron) that it was no problem. Well, IT TURNED OUT TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM: the mileage in and out was entirely WRONG and Had I NOT taken pictures you would not have known how many miles I even drove (the mileage OUT was more than what it was when I returned it via your paperwork??????). The paperwork was so light I could barely read it and I requested a brighter copy and received NONE. Once I left the parking lot I called to let him know that the gas circle on the paperwork WAS WRONG. I took a picture of the mileage and gas at pick-up and drop off and boy I am GLAD I did. My major issues are: no receipt was e-mailed to me as he could NOT FIGURE out how to charge me and had to call corporate prior to charging me (the wrong amount I might add). Then, I was charged for GAS even though I had it EXACTLY where it was when I drove it off the lot (pictures and gas receipts available for your reference) I was charged over $11.00 for not even a 1/4 tank of gas--first and foremost I can't even READ the paperwork that was given to me (again I asked for a brighter copy and received NONE) and I stated that to him so I have no idea how much you charge per gallon....secondly, it seems an outrageous AMOUNT, and thirdly I was charged illegally as I had it where it was when I drove it off the lot (pictures to prove this). Also, two charges were made to my credit card of varying amounts and when I called to inquire the guy Ron was of no help and said I had to speak with corporate. Well, so begins corporate: I was on hold at the U-haul 1-800 for over 45 minutes and NO ONE answered. So here it is: I want ALL my money back for this stressful and horrendous experience (all $66.00 + dollars). The mileage was inaccurate and legally you can't charge me for any of it as what I signed is NOT what it was when I left and I called and told them about the gas and he said it would be OK at return time that he would note my account!!!!! It may seem a small amount to you but I paid over $12.00 in GAS PRIOR to returning it and then to be told it was dirty after I called and complained about it being dirty--ridiculous. Maybe if your representative would have walked the vehicle with me to BEGIN with as I requested NONE of this would have happened.

I rented a 20' truck Saturday morning. I was supposed to do a self pickup at 8am . The website would not complete the process even though I tried multiple times. I finally called your service center and the operator reset the rental for 9am. The website still wouldn't work. So she did the checkout herself over the phone. I returned the truck at 6:30pm Saturday. Sunday morning I checked my email and found the instructions indicating that I needed to self checkout at the drop off location. I went back to the drop-off and tried the website again. On the third try I finally got it to work. When I arrived at the window requiring a photo of the dash I couldn't download the photo I took the night before. So I again called your service center. The operator told me to take a picture of my own dash so that I could complete the drop-off process. At the end of the process the computer wanted to charge me for two days rental. I objected and the computer indicated a representative would contact me within 48 hours to rectify the acount. This email is your first response. I am frustrated, angry and disappointed.

Ron is rude and totally lazy, feet up on desk. Did not know answers; had to call corp???? Filthy place. Asked to use restroom, NOPE....Peeed my pants in the parking lot. YUCK Place!!!!!
