I rented a 10 truck. I picked it up at 9AM on Sunday, 3-12-2017. I drove it about 3 miles to my house. I turned the truck off and loaded it within 1 hour. I went out to start truck after and battery was totally dead. I called the location where I rented the truck and they did not seem even remotely concerned. They accused me of leaving on lights or leaving the key turned over, blah blah blah, all nonsense and fiction. Finally, they abruptly patched me over to 24 hour roadside service. The roadside team were extremely nice and very professional and they told me there was at least a 70 minute wait. Meanwhile, I was literally another 5 miles from my final destination. I paid 2 guys a good amount of money to help me and I had to pay them extra money due to this dead battery problem and our delay. I was also late picking up my 6 year old daughter as a result of this breakdown. The roadside ppl never followed up so my 75 year old mother drove from her home to my home to jump the battery for me as she had jumper cables. (mine were in my car that I left at the UHaul location). I talked to UHaul employee at drop off. I explained to him that I would be calling UHaul corporate about a refund or a partial refund and he said, "Well, I am the one you would need to talk to as I am in charge here. I am the manager here at this Middletown location". He showed zero concern at all, he was very aloof and he removed nothing off of my charges. He then explained to me, between drags off his cigarette, that I was not owed any break because of this situation, since it had to be my fault. I guess "The customer is always right" does not apply to UHaul??? This is BAD BUSINESS!!! I have a lot of family, friends and business associates that use UHaul for business use as well as personal use and I will be letting them know about this situation. I will never be using UHaul again. That punk kid "manager" shouldn't be allowed to even wash the trucks let alone be considered "management". How embarrassing for UHaul? Is that the image you want to convey to your customers? No service, no empathy, no concern, no professionalism and, most importantly, no class whatsoever. TERRIBLE experience!

If a location offers 9am pick up times to multiple customers, understanding that many have hired movers to meet at a specific time, maybe the office should open before 9 to be prepared. I was waiting outside the building with 6 other people for the office to open and by the time the doors opened and the line formed inside I didn't get my truck until 945a. Otherwise everything else worked out smoothly.

The manager went out of her way to help me rent a uhaul that would meet my needs and at the same time be affordable for the item I was picking up. Without her assistance I would not have been able to justify a rental for the value of the item I was picking up. I am both very satisfied and grateful for her assistance and equally grateful to "Corporate" who granted her request for a rate augmentation.

Molly was the person I spoke to over the phone initially. She answered questions and was friendly and helpful. Then she waited on me when I arrived. She was more than helpful, she was downright excellent. It was a complete pleasure and a very positive experience.

The Cabin smelled like smoke. I did not want a dolly or furniture blankets but they were locked in the storage area of truck taking up much need space. I had to some items into another van because the dolly and bags took up the space the items would have fit into. The truck was also very old and sounded like the motor was going to stall at any moment.

I am a home stager and have been very busy thus needing to rent a truck often. The service is always very good, the process of checking in and out is very easy. I highly recommend this location. It would be nice to discount for regular customers who rent from you often.

Lower the rates a bit. Seems like there was a charge for every little thing. Should be a flat rate up to the expected amount of mileage. An extra fee per mile could then be assessed when the expected mileage has been surpassed.

I had reserved a hand truck and a furniture dolly when i made the truck reservation. When I arrived - there were no furniture dollies available. Very annoying as I was moving a lot of large furniture! Location did refund me for hand truck and pads rental which was best they could do.

I rent from here frequently and am overall satisfied with the vehicles and service. It wasn't a big deal to me, but appeared this particular truck hadn't been cleaned as blankets unwrapped and wipes in back of truck, didn't appear vacuumed as usual. I will still use this location, as always very pleasant and no hassle.

Wanted to charge me for 3rd day when I brought it back at 2 days. I explained that the counter person told me the time it has to be back by and I did just that. was then told that it should have been an hour earlier and the counter person was mistaken... and THAT I SHOULD HAVE KNOW THE CORRECT TIME REGARDLESS WHAT THE COUNTERPERSON TOLD ME. NOT GREAT SERVICE ON THAT REGARD.
