When I arrived to A1 Office Furnture at 9am the business was still closed and one helper was just unlocking the door but had no idea about the rentals. The owner was on his way but didn’t arrive until about 9:45. I called the number to U-Haul and dispatch was trying to help me locate the keys so I could get the truck. I booked my rental on line so everything had been confirmed before I arrived. When I asked about the 36 blankets that had also been confirmed, I was told they had only one and the U-haul scheduler wanted to say they couldn’t guarantee blankets although the email from U-haul clearly states they were. The scheduler found blankets in Odessa so I drove to pick up the blankets. All these delays caused me to be about two hours late for the people I had lined up to help us load. When I asked, I was given a small discount for all the trouble.

I would recommend that Uhaul make sure that online contracts are sent to the correct location. I requested A1 furniture and my contact went to the Uhaul in a different location. Once A1 furniture located my contact all was well. A1 furniture is a great place to conduct business, wonderful staff.

very bad experience with customer service. there is no physical contact with a representative or live chat, a failure. you just listen to the fucking virtual machine. The service is excellent you just need the customer service that is pessimistic

The U-Haul location at 401 W. Industrial Rd. in Midland was amazing they took care of us and solved all of our issues. However I had a HORRIBLE experience with Tammy at the call center (the 1 800 U-Haul number) I made my reservation For a 26 foot truck and a car carrier. I was told I would have to go to two different locations to get that order filled and then I had to go on different days I accepted that because they said stock was low. Then I was told by another person at the call center that I needed to pick up my truck early because they were bumping reservations and I might not have A truck available if I waited until 530 to pick it up when I went down to the 1010 University location they told me they didn’t have a truck. I was informed by Kelly little the owner of that location that she would call me as soon as the customer return the truck and I could come pick it up to rent it. About two hours later I get a call from Tammy at the call center telling me my Odessa reservation has been canceled And if I wanted a truck I need it to drive to La Mesa Texas to get one because they were bumping me from my Odessa location reservation. It was a nightmare. They told us we had to purchase instead of rent the furniture pads because there Were no furniture pads in all of Midland and none in all of Odessa. None of this was true. My husband and I were on the way to La Mesa Texas and we stop by the location and they had everything we needed 26 foot truck, car carrier, dolly and including furniture pads to rent. If I can avoid using U-Haul again I will. The people that are in charge of scheduling the trucks need better training and to make someone purchase furniture pads at over eight dollars apiece instead of having a dozen to rent for $10 Was taking advantage of customers in a desperate situation.
