Uhaul switched service location pick up on me and then charged me for the 9 miles I went over. This place was further out so found this unfair.

The location was great, except it wasn't the location I put on my reservation. The location for my reservation was N. Salisbury blvd. I received a text late the day before my scheduled pickup saying that the location was different and the pickup time was 2 hours later than requested. When I contacted u-haul it was after hours and the girl on the phone was very helpful. she said that the original location had a truck i requested but it was reserved for 10am. She said to contact scheduling and they should be able to switch my and the other since I needed the truck for 0800 and the other person could wait until 1000 and be moved to the other location ( a couple miles down the road). I contacted scheduling and was informed I was one of the called that the CSR (Kathy) was going to call. She was rude and told me there was nothing she could do to change my reservation and eluded that I had made the reservation the night before. She told me she had a van and a 20ft truck and I either waited until 10 or that was it. I explained to her I made my reservation on Feb 13 and had the email saying it. She changed her tune and told me she would call me back. She called back and said she found another truck about 22 miles away in DE for a 0915 pick up. That was still over an hour after my scheduled time. I had no choice but to take it. The issue I had with all of this is that I scheduled the rental 2 weeks in advance and was not informed of any issue until late the night before and was told that I was to be contacted the day of. I also hired moving help through your website for a 0900 start. Now I was given a truck further away from where I requested, had movers sitting around waiting for me to return with the truck. I paid for 4 hours of work and got about 3 since they sat around due to u-hauls incompetence and lack of communication. I don't appreciate the rudeness of your CSR Kathy insinuating that it was my fault and problem that my reservation was messed up. I have used u-haul numerous time and will reconsider next time I need moving equipment.
