What a perfect representative of your company. The employee that waited on me went out of his way to make sure everything was right. Advise customer that they may have to go to another location to pick up the equipment on the day they need it when they reserve it. Fortunately the manager on duty the morning I went to get the truck got on the phone and managed to let me have one of the three trucks he had on his lot rather than me having to go somewhere else less convient to get. The same size truck . The next evening I did have to go several miles out of my way to set the trailer I needed to haul the golf car home. Then at home I had to take the trailer to one dealer and the truck to another. Don't understand the reasoning behind this.

I am Tyrone James, a frequent customer doing business with uhaul for many years. This issues with this location extended from the rental I made in July, 2016 to the one in October and only worsened. In July, the two men working there clearly seemed not to care about the atmosphere inside that office, it always looks sloppy and unattended - resembling the work ethic/professionalism - the pleasantness (making humorless and tactless jokes) and attentiveness to quality. I left after doing my previous business in July with a true dissatisfied impression. I called to reserve a van on October 1, 2016 for a crucial move and decided that uhaul was the option for me, being satisfied for many years over the last experience. When I arrived at the above location, firstly, the associate "Reggie" had me waiting over 5 minutes as if me and my family wasn't there. We were traveling the whole day on a trip from Bennettsville, exhausted, with our belongings in storage and wanted to finish the day by trying to get the beds out to sleep. "Reggie" came in, with a scowl, no pleasant greeting or body language, as if we were coming inside his home or making him perform his job?? As soon as I shown my license, he didn't wait a second to say: I couldn't rent the vehicle I reserved because I to have a printed copy of all of my insurance information (comprehensive, collision, liability etc..) to show him before we could rent a vehicle. My question was why and when this policy came into affect? He said it was always. I said then why hadn't he asked that the last time. I've never been asked that before for any uhaul rental, just proof of insurance and how I chose to cover the rental. Reggie just walked off with no care as me and my family stood in exhausted disbelief for 40 minutes until the location closed. I called the customer service number and spoke to "Brenda," a mgr. She said the Regional mgr would return my call which never happened. I left uhaul that day angry, very disappointed, and unappreciated as a father, a supporter, and customer doing business with uhaul so many years. I've begun to rethink my stake holder connection with a company who allows this experience to happen, these types of employees to continue this treatment, and the falseness I feel in the advertising and mission of uhaul. The guy at the facility, when I returned my rental was arguing with someone on the phone. I patiently waited 15 minutes. After that I just laid my contract on his desk and walked out. The people there at time of rental was great.

This location had excellent customer service. However, my experience overall could have been improved through a few areas. The online reservation had a dealer available at 7 am, my ideal time. Upon arrival, the dealer was a no show after 30min. The number listed online to contact was not a valid number. This was something that could have been avoided. Then, the poor excuse I was given later by dealer was that we are not used to people showing up on time... Very unprofessional! The response of the customer service number, 800GOUHAUL, was well received. Yet, to avoid the same unprofessional ism, the only available location on a Sunday was 30 miles away, costing me in mileage... I was even told that I would receive an upgrade at no extra charge for my troubles, which did not occur. So, as far as improving the level of service, there are many areas to improve in my opinion.

I booked 17" truck online and website said it is guaranteed. Then few hours before I was supposed to pick the the truck I got call from people that they don't have truck and they booked me 15' and referred me to this location. 15' was too small for me and they didn't have 17' at new location. I asked them so you don't have truck give me $50 as your website says, they said you choose 15 on phone call so you are not eligible. I feel like cheated, I paid for more mileage for picking and returning. More sad that I asked them that I want to drop back at location which is close to my house so they said I cannot do it becuae it is in town. Finally, I saw someone dropping 17' truck while I was finding solution there, I spent almost one hour there just to get truck. Poor customer services and unqualified people at desk

The level of gas shouldn't be hidden to the customer...this should be made clear at the time of rental. I was highly disappointed on my service and will use another company before I use uhaul
