Process was very slow to pick up my van. Took nearly 45 minutes for crew to 'bring the van down'. Understood they just moved the location, but the wait was excessive. Otherwise, employees were very nice and van was clean.

I reserved two furniture dollies to rent which were not available at pick up time so I was forced to purchase them. Customer service was mediocre.

There were bird droppings on the inside and outside of the vehicle. The process to return the vehicle was unclear and required me to walk back and forth to find an employee to accept the return of the vehicle.

I received the truck with no gas basically on empty had to drive around the city looking for a gas station. That was my only complaint otherwise the staff was nice and respectful.

We received the van with less than a quarter of gas. The way the representative explained to us the gas policy made us understand that the company prorated gas and we filled half the tank. By the time we returned the van and realized there wasn't going to be a gas prorate, we inquired with the lady who was there when we returned and she was very rude towards us and had a very impolite attitude when we needed an explanation. We wouldn't recommend people going to this location. Staff gave misleading information and was rude.

The $19.95 price is false advertising. You could never come close to paying that amount no matter how short and how little your trip/mileage is.

The front desk staff needs to work on customer service. They were short in their responses to questions and at times rude.

Customer service was friendly but not very helpful. Asked me to do things that as a customer I felt should have been done by staff. For example, I paid for an item but was not given that item and was told to grab it somewhere - I couldn't find it and ultimately forgot about it despite paying for it.

1. it would have been great to have a 3rd seat in the van. 2. The woman who did the paperwork at pickup talked too fast and it was hard to understand everything she was saying. 3. Also, I was confused about where to leave the car on return (that might have been my fault) but other than that things were good. Thanks.

The only thing I would say is making the doors clearer along the street for where to go to pick up keys and where to drop off after.

I' not sure if it's the locations problem or U-Hauls website. I have not yet received a final receipt for the rental which involved a much smaller number of miles that the original estimate considered. The website account pages does not seem to have that info, your phone lines are too busy and your chat service is terribly impatient.

The woman that I spoke to on the phone was rude and she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to someone who was courteous and helpful. The staff people that service the trucks should clean the windshields inside the cab from time to time.

Door of truck barely shut and opened. Didn't want to purchase insurance / never asked if we wanted to purchase insurance for the rental and when we went to pay when returing the truck it was already on my bill. They said nothing they can do unless the vehicle is returned within 15 minutes. But how would we have known they charged us for it 15 minutes after we left when it wasn't even asked?? Overall bad experience.

I called Uhaul twice the week before our rental/move and confirmed that we would pick up our truck 6PM on Friday and be able to have it for 6 hours and return to the site whenever we finsihed and drop the keys off. Upon arriving Friday night to pick up my UHaul, I was told that the company changed their policy 10 days ago (and was not noted online or in any paperwork) and our truck had to be returned by 9 PM that night or 7 AM the next day and we would be responsible for finding parking overnight. I was very frustrated by this since I called to check several times and was not told this information. Picking up our truck at 6PM made a 9 PM return impossible, so we had to find commercial truck parking in Manhattan on a Friday night, get up early and return it at 7 am to the UHaul. I was paying drivers/moving helpers to drive the trucks, so of course this meant they also had to meet us back in the early AM to help drive the truck back to the UHaul site which was incredibly inconvenient. Despite how frustrating and problematic this time return policy was to my overall experience, I was even more appalled that when we arrived at 6:30 AM early to drop off our truck the UHaul location refused to open their doors and let us return the truck before 7am . We could clearly see through the windows of the store front that all employees were there and just waiting a half hour until the store opened, however they refused to start processing our return before 7:01 AM when we were told if we came anytime AFTER 7 AM we would be fined. Yet, when we arrived BEFORE 7 AM we were not allowed to return it until the exact moment the clock struck 7. Terribly organized and employees were very rude about sticking to their policies when myself and other renters were all there early to avoid the fine after 7 AM.
