When entering the facility, I was politer greeted by the staff. They offered very helpful insight as to how I should proceed to using their rental and how I should return it. When returning the rental, I was very rudely and disrespectfuly encounters by a staff member that was moving a uhaul rental into the garage behind us. After cashing a ruckus and causing someone who does not drive a large amount of stress and anxiety, Kaseem Simmons (I do not know how to spell the young mans name) proceeded to be rude and not apologize for his behavior. In fact, when asked my other staff members, he refused to apologize and blamed the minor situation on me. I felt very attacked and uncomfortable in the environment and would like to see that young man removed from such a peaceful environment that he made hostile.

The vehicle I rented had over 29,000 and although it ran well, the visors were broken and the cab interior was somewhat worn.. the a/c & radio worked fine.. overall, it was quite acceptable The booking however was a large mishap, as I booked my reservation on line for the W23st Chelsea location, and somehow it was confirmed as Nyack Ny...??? as a result, the 9'Van I ordered wasn't available at the time I requested, so I was forced to use a 10'truck...The manager at Nyack, Jaleesa was not at all helpful nor apologetic, all she did was repeat that the 9'Van wasn't available and I had no choice but to take the 10'truck, which is more money...she was bordering on being rude..

We must compliment you - you manage to maintain the cleanest washrooms of any public area and your staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you

Customer service is AWFUL! Staff knowledge is also horrendous. Nobody seems to know what's going on with anything. It's also not just this location, it's the entire company.

The online check-in system completely failed us. First, we were asked to send photos and information of not only the driver (who was registered to be the driver in the reservation) but also the person who had paid for the reservation, even though that person was not going to be the driver. This was frustrating and unnecessary. What was worse, however, was that at the end of the process, we went inside to pick up the key to the car only to find that the keys to that particular vehicle had been given to someone else. We had to restart the process in-person (so much for saving time by reserving remotely) and after going through the entire process one more time, we finally were given keys to a new vehicle. When we went to find the vehicle, we met another pair who had already commenced their own online check in process with our vehicle. When we informed them that the online car system bizarrely does not align with the system at that centre, they began to aggressively threaten us, saying, 'this is our car, you can't take it from us' and 'we are not moving.' I obviously shared their frustration but by this point 40 minutes had elapsed, and this entire ordeal could have been avoided had the online reservation system been in sync with the local reservation system. Really terrible experience overall.

Not a thing! It was an easy, perfect experience.

We reserved the $19.95 10' truck. We were told on the phone that the estimate based on where we were going was $58.00. I asked specifically and repeatedly about what, if any, other charges there would be, how the charges broke down, and so on. I was assured that these were the only charges including everything. Then, my husband returned the truck, no damages, no need for extra gas, and was charged 90 dollars!! 90 dollars. So there were actually a hidden 40+ dollars in fees that they wouldn't share on the phone even when specifically asked?! 90 dollars for five hours with a 19.95/day truck. Very upsetting. If we'd known it would cost almost a hundred, we could have jus thrown in twenty more and hired a man with a van and had some help carrying things. We did this because it was the CHEAP option. I can understand, I guess, if the customer never asked, but I asked specifically for all possible fees and charges up front.

The people working there at the drop off were down right rude. Such a pompous ass.

The online process to pick-up the truck was a mess. After following the whole process (taking various pictures, etc.) I was told that the truck assigned to me by the system was already assigned to somebody else. I had to restart the process at the counter.

I keep getting repeated emails even though I did not rent a uhaul. I've emailed the location but they don't seem to care. I don't live in America and would like them to stop.

I was really frustrated by the self service option. It ended up costing me about 20 min and I was late as a result. Very inefficient. Won't make that mistake again. That being said, the gentleman that helped me get my reservation in order was really nice and helpful.

Sleazy operation starting the truck with a quarter tank and writing in the fine print that if it is returned with less than a quarter tank you have to pay an additional $30 servicing fee. I was prepared to pay the money to refill the gasoline I used but the additional fee is taking advantage of anyone who is moving in Manhattan and isn't willing to drive all the way out of the city to fill up on gas.

The transaction was easy and didn't take long.

My husband and I had a horrific experience at the UHaul location on 23rd Street in Manhattan. We reserved a vehicle for 9 a.m., however we were delayed in our arrival and attempted to call the location to alert them to the issue. No one answered the phone, and when we finally did arrive, we were told that our reservation had been canceled since we did not show up on time. Not only that, but there were approximately 30 other individuals in line at that time, and the entire garage was empty. While I understand that UHaul cannot control the timely return of rented equipment, the employees at the counter made no attempt to communicate the issues with those of us on line, nor could they suggest any remedies. They were curt and rude to those of us inquiring how they planned on accommodating customers whose reservations were not honored. Several times we were told we could go to the Bronx location to obtain a vehicle, but that there was no guarantee they would have the vehicle we rented upon arrival there. I fail to understand how this is a sustainable business model, and would never rent from U-Haul again after this experience. Moving is stressful enough as is, as we were delayed more than an hour after arrival before we were finally granted a vehicle. We have since received no apologizes on behalf of your lackluster company, and there were no reparations offered for our inconvenience. I expect a response to this complaint, and I plan to be disputing the charge with my credit card company unless significant reparations are offered. I am happy to discuss this issue further, and can be reached at 347-612-7916.

I had locked the keys in the truck at my storage place , roadside sssistance informed me that situation was on me and I had to pay for a locksmith to help me retrieve the key because I didn't have A new truck that would have been under warranty , why is that any of my concerns new truck or old truck but after learning that I will request for a new truck only

I answered no to the equipment being cleaned simply because the cabin smelled of cigarettes, otherwise it was clean. I have rented from this location a few times now, and I have rented from UHaul many many times in various states, I typically return the truck and pay the refueling fee, however all but 1 time the truck is always given with 1/4 tank of gas, the problem here is that the facility charges $30 if the truck is returned under a 1/4 tank. this appears almost deliberate to incur the $30 fee, I will continue to rent from this location and see how that goes, I just felt the need to put this out there
