Worst experience of my life, 3 weeks later and I'm still trying to resolve the issue, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to use this location, unless they were looking to buy drugs.

I would never recommend using A1 Tires as a U-Haul pickup location. The equipment had not been checked in properly, was filled with trash, and to make matters worse the person processing the checkout completely messed up my reservation which had been in place for a few weeks. I had to take a couple of hours after I caught his mistakes to get it fixed through U-Haul's customer service. Then to top it off the equipment I was issued had no working air conditioning - not fun for an 11 hour move in the deep South. I am not trying to be rude but the "assistant" at A1 Tires was completely incompetent, acted as though I was interrupting his day, and cost me time and resources...and literally buckets of sweat. I would actually recommend that U-Haul drop them as a local dealer.

I had worst experience ever. U-Haul didn’t have my truck ready when I got to the pick up location. Then, they sent me to a different location that didn’t even have my truck. Finally, they got me one, no the one I wanted. I call customer service and I had to wait more than an hour to get someone on the phone. Worst experience ever.

I wish I could rate my overall experience with U HAUL in general. The honest truth is that my overall experience has been an overall nightmare. I made an initial reservation days prior to this one. When I made the reservation, was not made aware that it was a counter service only. I needed to pick up the truck at 6PM at my initial location. The reservation was changed to be picked up a lot sooner. When I got to the pick-up location, the attendant who handles UHAUL service was gone for the day. And was told to "complete the transaction online". I was not sure of what that meant. After hours trying to figure it out without help from anyone I learned that my pickup was supposed to be a 24/7 truck share, but upon changing my order by a helpful store manager at a nearby UHAUL store. The reservation ended up being cancelled automatically, because "The truck was not picked up in an hour" which was not me fault to begin with. I was trying for over an hour to get my truck. I was left without a truck, which I needed for the next day. I tried reasoning with "customer support" to reserve the truck I should have gotten again, but was basically told they could not do that. I was literally staring at the truck I was supposed to have an hour earlier; the truck I had spent over an hour trying to get in the first place. I ended up giving up with the difficult customer support person and started over with another person and was able to reserve a truck. Basically what I learned from this experience is that U HAUL truck reservation system is severely flawed and broken. You basically put in your preferences for your reservation (time, pickup place, etc.) and UHAUL decides that it isn't always convient for THEM and unconviences the customer instead. Overall experience with UHAUL: 1/4 of a star

The rental person did not know what to do. Spent almost one hour until we could get the truck. The pick up place was very dirty and not recommendable. The truck was inside and outside very dirty. In the driver cabin were empty bottles and dirt and I swept the cargo space because I didn’t want to put my stuff in a unclean truck. I had a half a bag of dirt. I guess no one saw the sign inside:” 25$ fee for a not cleaned space “

I was charged for Smart Move insurance but I did ask for it. Now i have to wait for a follow call to get a refund. Additionally the truck was dirty and not cleaned. The rep at the store had to call some guy on the phone to get assistance. Will never rent from this location again. Hidden charges and uneducated employees equals a horrible customer experience.

Drop off took a long time. was told we drove 1179 miles against contracted 899 amount. I know that we drove ~800 miles. Waited a long time while the person talked on the phone. Was told there would be no charge. I asked for the receipt and was told I would get it in email. 2 weeks later, I got the receipt and the same accused mileage overage charge on my credit card

It took 45 minutes to complete our rental pickup. The store owners seemed to not know the process very well and ended up putting me on the telephone with U Haul. Since my pickup location had been changed, I did not get the furniture pads and the utility dolly that I needed for my move, which was very inconvenient. However, the truck was clean and in good condition.
