Pickup location was changed twice on me, the last time 1 hour before I was due to pick up van. New location was 15 minutes further away. Also I had requested a van but none was available so I got a truck. However, this limited the highways I could go on and delayed my trip home

Your website slow. 3 attempts by agent with too much waiting to arrange rental. Took forever. Damage and insurance terms not clear or explained well. Would have gone elsewhere but needed rental immediately and place was extremely close by. Totally surprised by needing another name/contact to rent truck and partial tank full upon rental. Would not use U-Haul again.

They rent equipment literally held together with tape. When confronted about their shortcomings, their answer was that Uhaul maintains the equipment and not them. Not very customer friendly oriented.

Reservations online were easy. At the time of my reservation I was offered to pick up the equipment via a mobile platform so I accepted this. On arrival to the location I began the pick up process but was only able to get to the point where I needed to take my picture and the mobile platform froze on multiple attempts. So I called customer service to complain. They told me the agent had to convert the reservation to a traditional pick-up. The young girl who was there appeared to not know how to do this and I wasn’t until another employee arrived that they were able to continue with the reservation. I finally got the keys and the contract at 920 AM, 20 minutes after my arrival and 20 minutes after my reservation time. The 9’ van was newer but stunk like cigarettes. It had absolutely no washer fluid and was covered in salt dust. The cargo area was covered in salt pebbles as well. The van drove well except at 40 to 45 MPH it made a horrible muffling sound through out the van that actually hurt my eardrums; I am not sure if that was a wind, tire or mechanical issue. All in all I rate the whole U-Haul experience a 7/10.

The representative that I made the reservation with was very pleasant. However, when I arrived to pick up the truck, the amount had changed tremendously. I've rented from U-haul on several occasions, and never had an experience like I did on 1-15-18. I was over charged for a one way trip, which was still in the state of MD, and was not told that I would have an additional charge for a one way trip.

Drop off was also quick and easy. My complaint is not with the pickup or drop off locations. My complaint is with the scheduling. I reserved the truck 2+ weeks in advance to be picked up 5 minutes from my house (Sayre, PA). I had to go to Wysox, over a half hour each way to pick up the truck. This added over an hour to my drive (with my own car and gas). While the mileage on the truck was adjusted, the price was not. There should have been some compensation on UHauls part or you should have driven the truck to the location I rented. The spokesperson I spoke with at UHaul was rude and not helpful. Very poor customer service on UHauls part.

Nothing I can think of. Associate helped me with all my questions, explained the contract thoroughly, and gave me all the tips to get full use out of my U-Haul !

This was the worst experience I’ve had going through uhaul. The 15 foot truck that I wanted, wasn’t available. I didn’t find this out until the day before I was moving. You guys gave me a 10 foot truck instead. I was told over the phone that you would lower the price since this was a smaller truck. When I got to the pick up location, they charged me 30$ MORE than what I was told over the phone. I even asked them to remove the insurance (my auto insurance already covers this), the insurance was never removed from my bill. There was no attempt by anyone to resolve my issue.

Would suggest that one could also pay for an employee to help with moving items. Many would pay for the extra man to help one move.

Horrible service from the beginning. Was called to say they didn’t have my truck. Pikesville location didn’t have the truck I ordered. Has to rush to a different location. Truck smelled. Was incorrectly charged for gas. Will not use uhaul again.

Driving into the area at 1530 looked promising, but we came to find out that the Uhaul I was suppose to pick up had been rented out to another customer even after I recall setting the preferred time of pickup as 1500. after waiting outside the shop for a while, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, I received a vehicle. I had ordered an equipment dolly with the rental, but it did come with the rental. Tony, the individual working at the store, stated that an insurance fee of fifteen dollars per day had to be added to the agreement, even though I had only rented the vehicle out for two days at the most and ended up dropping it off within twenty four hours of pickup.
