I had a major issue picking up the keys to my rental and cost me an hour of my rental time. Firstly when I first booked online it wouldn’t allow me to schedule a pick up for any time after 8:30 am. The mailbox place was not open until 9:00 am. So, I was forced to do the online self pick up. Which was not preferred because my dad and I had trouble in July 2017 with the online pick up. The online system said there wasn’t a rental assigned to our reservation and the person whose information was provided for the 24 hour contact did not answer or call us back. It took us almost 2 hours to get this resolved. Then for this rental not only did I rent days in advance but, I got to the pick up location half an hour early to hopefully avoid running into any problems( like suggested on your website). But, like before when I signed in to both the app and the website it said there was not a rental assigned to my reservation. Once again I attempted to call the 24 hour contact number, no answer or call back. I also attempted to call your 800 number for customer service and was on hold for 20 minutes. I attempted to complete the pick up process several times in the app and website for almost an hour. Finally at 9:15 am the website found the truck I was assigned to. Then I still had wait for the mail box store to be open to go in and pick up the keys. My reservation was for 8:30 am (again the website wouldn’t give me any time after that), so please tell me with the store opening at 9:00 am, how was I supposed to get the keys at 8:30 am given there were not any problems with finding my reservation in the first place? Lastly when I got to my destination I realized that the renter before ate chocolate chip cookies in the bed of the truck. Not only were there crumbs everywhere but, it is also 100 degrees outside so the chocolate was melted into all the ridges in the bed of the truck. It took forever to clean out before I could load my mattress into the bed of the truck. Your company’s process is flawed creates more problems then it worth. I will never give my money to U-haul again. I really expected more from such a reputable company. I work for one of the largest insurance companies in the U.S and we are in the process of relocation more than 70% of our California staff to Arizona. I will be sharing my experience with not only friends, family but all of my coworkers deterring all of them from using UHaul for their rental truck needs. this is the 2nd rental in a month. both times the truck was at 1/4 tank or less in fuel. it is annoying that the first stop I have to make is to a gas station it should be at least 1/2(and preferably near full). that way, a customer has to only make one fuel stop--at the end, rather than two.

Last minute we were switched to a new location because they had the equipment, however when we arrived they did not have the furniture pads we had ordered. The whole last minute change, made us 30 minutes late to the movers which we lost those paid 30 minutes of moving help. The movers were incredible. In future it is hard for me to say if I will use uhaul. Very disappointed in this whole experience.

The only confusing part was the after hours drop off. The box where I placed the keys said to log in on the final website and electronically drop the truck off. When I signed in online it didn't list me as having a truck to log off. After a few tries I decided I must not have to do anything online and left the keys in the box.
