Check out and check in process was not smooth. Customer Service was poor. Nobody seem to know what they were doing. I was told my dozen furniture pads would be in the truck. They weren’t. When I asked for a refund, I was told I would have to contact U-Haul directly because they couldn’t take care of that.

the place was understaffed, apparently due to someone not showing up for work. The rental truck/trailer was unassembled, so I was required to do the assembly myself, which was a little daunting, but accomplished, eventually. Previous visits, this was not so. I ended up having to go to a different U-Haul dealership to get the utility dolly, as the night crew apparently did not know the difference compared to an appliance dolly. It has been a awhile since I rented the truck/trailer assembly, so I missed attaching the safety chains around the axles, discovering the one about 60 miles into the trip and the other about 250 miles into the trip. This could have been disastrous, luckily not. . . It would have been nice to have a checklist on things to do when attaching a car to the trailer, that the customer is required to sign off on and to bring with when renting a trailer. Otherwise, the trip went smoothly.

I was disappointed with some of the safety features of the trailer I rented. The rubber pieces used to keep the hooks engaged on the safety chains and emergency brake were missing. I asked the attendant at the desk about the missing pieces and he said he didn't have any more, and that he didn't know what to do about it. He then went and removed some from another trailer, but the rubber pieces were cracked and broken. I was able to make them work, but was not comfortable with the solution. If I assume responsibility for any damage to the trailer, then all safety features should be in place and working.

I was originally not going to complain about the experience dealing with the person on the phone and at the counter(same person) however after being overcharged I will. The employee was uninformed and I spent over 20 minutes reserving the rental on the phone having to provide my information 3 times only to show up 10 minutes later to pick it up and have to give it all to him again. He did not appear to know what he was doing. He was probably new but the other person there was very unhelpful in assisting him to help speed up the process. Then when I returned the rental they were very busy and the same employee that helped me pick it up just took the keys and said you are good to go. I should have insisted on him checking it in while I was still there but I decided to trust them. I later got a phone call from the same employee again requesting my info including credit card number as he said it didn't go through the first time. I later received an emailed receipt that included an insurance charge I had declined at the time of renting and 2 charges for not refueling the truck even though I returned it with the same amount of fuel as when I picked it up. When he called be back to get my info again it was not because it didn't go through but to run my card again for the additional charges. He made no mention of this when he called me back. At that time it was too late to contact the rental dealer so I called Uhaul corporate and submitted a dispute. This was 2 days ago and I have not heard back from anyone. I am going to call them again and if not immediately resolved I will dispute the charge with my CC company.

Tell the customer to go borrow his/hers neighbors truck. U-HAUL can suck my ass, pricing is redicilous and I payed more than I was planning on, and I only had the truck for an hour. $100 for an hour. Really? Next time I’ll go suck my neighbors dick to borrow his truck. And then I’ll fill up his gas tank to full just because helping others is what good people do. I made a mistake today of going with U-HAUL, still angry about it and I never get angry. Would not recommend obviously.

When I picked up my trailer I stated that I was going to drop it off at another location. I was told that would not change my rate. I was charged $300 dollars vs. the $30 dollars that I was told.

Good guys NEEDS to have better customer service. Luckily, I have a lot of experience with trailers and towing, but I feel so bad for those who don't because I ended up teaching the workers how to do things. Also, when I dropped off the trailer, no help was offered in un-hitching or even where to un-hitch.

I would never recommend u-haul to a friend, ever!! I had the worse experience ever with this company. First, getting the keys was a problem. When we got there, there was no one at the desk. 5 minutes later a guy came. He filled out half the paperwork and then complained saying he wanted to finish his shift. I told him we were short on time, but he did not care. His replacement did not know what he was doing and took 15 minutes to put us in the system and give us the keys. This meant that we were 20 minutes late. We did not expect this much of a delay as we were supposed to pick up a bed frame at a very specific time and it made the trip very stressful. Second, we had a lot of hidden fees. We thought the .80/mile was for gas but it was in addition to gas. This meant that our total trip was $115 just to go 60 miles! This was very frusturating as U-haul advertises itself on being cheap and "just $20". We were very annoyed when we got our bill - expecting a number close to $75 but never imagined it would be all the way up to $115. Third, we were cheated with out gas. We intentially filled it passed the line where it was given to us to avoid any extra fees. I specifically remember where it was and where I filled it up to. It was clearly passed the line -- no one could have mistaken it. However, they charged us an extra two gallons of gas (which was $4/gal, a recidulous price since gas was $2.50). I especially felt frusturated here because I know I filled it up to where it was before. In other words, we felt very manipulated by u-hauls advertising to be a cheap, friendly service. But all Uhaul was a bomb waiting to explode. I will never use Uhaul again if I can avoid it and I will encourage all my friends to do the same. I am tired of being manipulated, and it is time I put my foot in the door and say "no, this is not right!" Just because you are a big company does not give you the right to push others around and maniplate them.

Agent refused to take off the car transporter from the ball hitch stating it was not his job. That he only lets people pick them up or drop them off and he reports it to Uhaul. We were forced to figure it out and remove it ourselves. Poor service! I will never use Uhaul if this is where I'd have to go!

I had a one way rental and I was never informed that I only had 37 miles. Because my preferred location was not used I had to drive 10 miles to the loading location and then to return the truck to the nearest drop off I had to drive 18 miles, which was 28 of the 37 miles allowed and I had an overage charge that I did not expect. Why was I not told about this in the online reservation or at the time of pickup. Very unhappy with the service from U-haul the charges. I will not recommend this location or U-Haul to anyone because of the surprises I had in my rental.

The truck console was dirty. The guy behind the counter wasn't knowledgeable or helpful/friendly in any way. Didn't explain the overages or recommend which plan was the best for the day.

I did the online express check-in to "cut my pick-up time in half". I arrived and a 10 foot truck that i'd ordered wasn't available. It took much longer than expected to sort it out. After a couple of phone calls, arrangements were made to use a 15 foot instead for the same price. I appreciated that.

they had one employee. took me 45 minutes to even get helped. Then he said, just go find trailer ####. The car trailer I rented, was so close to another building it was facing that I had to back in at a horrible angle to even get it on the hits. The gentlemen didn't talk me through anything like how to work the coupler. He didn't even check to see if I had the correct plug to hook into the lights. After I got the trailer on my truck I went back into the store to ask him to check to make sure I hate the coupler on the hitch correctly and he said, "I am sorry i can't leave the store" by the time I walked in the door of the store and pulled out of the parking lot it took 1 Hour and 15 minutes. this was way to long. The drop off location was in Afton Wyoming. He asked me for the address. I was like, it's in your system. You tell me where to drop it off. I had to basically tell him the drop off location. He asked very weird questions like, What is the license plate of the vehicle that is being towed. What the hell? Why would you need to know that. I understand you need to know what is being towed due to wait restrictions. But the license plate number? Weird. this pickup location is also a dirty scummy pawn shop. And a Gun and Ammo Shop, and a gun range. Someone didn't show up for work. So the guy that was helping me after I waited for 45 minutes. Then started talking to another employee who had arrived about shift schedules and why this guy didn't show up. Then he stopped helping me, and started to text the guy that didn't show up for work. This guy, I wish i would have written down his name. Shouldn't be helping your customers. I don't blame uhaul. but I can honestly say if I book a trailer again at the Provo Bulldog blvd I better get a trailer from there. Instead of being forced to go to this crap hole of a business to pick it up. This dude at good guys should not be helping your uhaul customers, unless you want them to be really mad like I am. It really was like he didn't care.

I was charged for an extra day even though I dropped the Uhaul off well before I needed to. A guy at the front desk said that the employee in charge of checking the Uhauls in was supposed to be in at 5:00pm, but he was not there when I dropped the Uhaul off at 5:17pm. When I was charged for an extra day, it said that I returned it at 6:03pm. If Uhaul does not refund me for the second charge, I will dispute it on my credit card. Not only did Good Guys Gun Range charge me for another day, the guy at the front desk was very rude, and lied to me several times. He promised me that the Uhaul would be returned on time even though the employee that was in charge of returning the Uhauls was not doing his job during business hours. I want the WHOLE charge removed. Getting a refund is a waste of time.
