location was not open, uhaul drop box for keys was not locked. was worried about leaving keys in a wide open mailbox with no way to verify drop off or secure keys. documented my drop off with pictures and hoped for the best

The worst customer experience I have ever had! I did an online check in 6 days before our scheduled pick up. The movers got in touch right away and they were great. The day of our move, we were scheduled to pick up the truck at 8:30. We got there and the office was closed with a sign that said “call Hector if closed.” So we called Hector and woke him up. It was his day off and he said U-Haul never sent him the order and emphasized we were bothering him on his day off (it was a Monday). We waited for him to show up. He arrived around 9:05, came flying into the parking lot, ran back and got the truck with no apology, no greeting, nothing. We saw him go into the office so we just followed him in at which time he said he never got the order (yet knew the truck size and equipment we needed) and that he didnt have the hand trucks we ordered. My husband resoponded with one word: he said, “really??” And Hector went off on us, yelling, and aggressive. His words were, “I don’t feel like dealing with this crap right now! No hand cart what do you want me to do? I can see if one is available at joes plaza and you can go over there and pick one up.” I said we had movers we were paying by the hour showing up to our house in minutes and that I wasn’t even sure my van would make it there as it’s unreliable. He answered sarcastically, “well do you want want the truck or not? What are you going to do?? What can I say, U-haul sucks it’s not my problem that they didn’t send me the order! Sometimes I wish I didn’t even have this business!” We were backed into a corner so said we’d take the truck. As a favor, he decided not to charge us for the hand trucks that he didn’t provide and let us use a free appliance dolly. Absolutely unacceptable. We got out of there almost an hour after our scheduled pick up time and had got yelled at for being an inconvenience by simply providing your company with our business and showing up that morning! Extra bonus? We had our 3 year old with us who had to stand there and watch his mommy and daddy get yelled at. So thank you also for that little gem!

This location is a new U-Haul dealer. They had no boxes, tape, etc. it was very inconvenient for us to have to go to a different store to pic up these items.

The phone goes to message and had no place to leave message. No instructions for after hour drop off. The Uhaul app is frustrating. It could not find my location and then could not process my return. I knew I was at the correct address. Return site was insecure.

Make sure you have the correct address on file. I used the app for U-Haul to make my reservation and I got a different address than where my truck actually was. The people I rented my truck from were amazing but please get their business address correct so they aren't losing business. I got an address of 160 Cypress Point Parkway Palm Coast when their actual address is 9 Market Place Court in Palm Coast Florida.

This location was impossible to get a live person. I called from 1:30-4 on a Tuesday to confirm drop off location, no answer and no voicemail. The directional sign for drop off should be larger and drop box should be locked. I was leary about leaving the key in an unlocked box.

Appointment was at 8:30 location was not open and had to drive to another uhaul for number of area field manager to make contact. Number provided on confirmation text and email was not in service. Location is not big enough. We had to hook up trailer in street and move evertytime a car needed thru. We were finally able to leave over an hour after our appointment.

I was told by the Agent upon my return that I would get a credit for miles that I did not drive. I called Customer service and they told me that was not correct. I believe this is a deception and feel that I was mislead.

The engine oil had not been checked and the light turned on for us while we were going to our destination. We had to buy oil and fill it up to the proper level. Also, manager at this location refused to honor the price-match guarantee when we showed him that we found something much cheaper with another company.

i never received any paper work, and still 11 days later I'm still waiting for a final bill copy. ive rented u haul 8 times in the last year, this has been my worst experience by far. i also have been trying to get thru to uhaul to make sure they don't send me to the same people again

Just horrible. My fault yes, but he didn't do a walk through. The gas on contract was not what was on the truck. Then because he didn't know how to use the system messed up my reservation. Like just over crappy. I won't be going to a non uhaul place again. These local shops always fail in every aspect.

Back lot was kind of junky. "Office" was messy. Looked like someone lived there... it was not neat and professional business looking. Personnel was friendly and accommodating.

Apparently this location just got started and did not have a working printer. We did not get any paperwork. When the reservation was made, we were under the impression that we had reserved a truck with unlimited miles for a one way trip. This was confirmed at pick up. We returned the truck with more gas than it originally had. Upon return we were informed that our rental had a limit of 38 miles. The one way trip from the pick up point to the drop off point is over 31miles. That doesn't include actually driving to our old house or new house. It seems like U-Haul wanted the customer to fail in this situation. We asked specifically at pick up if any more money would be due at drop off and we're told as long as it was clean and had the same amount of gas that no more money would be due. We asked this because we did not have anymore money for this rental. Because the gas gage wasn't working properly, we put more gas than it had at pick up. At drop off, we were charged for the extra milage. It cost us over $75 that we did not have. We will not be using U-Haul for our next move.
