I was called early about the truck, apparently they scheduled the vehicle I had rented for the same minute I was suppose to drop it off. My wife dropped the keys off and the person was not friendly, was not helpful. We wanted to change the card that was on file, this person didn't give us an option, and when asked responded with "too late". I will never recommend anyone I know to go to this stop, ever.

Absolutely BEST experience with U-Haul in Alaska, and I've used a few different locations in Wasilla and Anchorage. Frank was accommodating and helpful, easily arranged for a new rent date, explained everything, very attentive and observant; made sure no one and nothing got hurt by the extreme wind gusts, and both were so very kind and fun to talk to. It's a great place to run into good people as well ~ if you know what's good, rent from Frank Holt!

Uhaul needs to take a security deposit from people driving down the Alcan and issue spare tires to them. Upon the return of the tires, the customer should be given back their security deposit. Bits of Alcan are without communication and blowouts can be very dangerous on remote parts of the highway, If a person had a spare, they could change their own tire and be on their way with the minimal inconvenience and expense to both the customer and to Uhaul.

My reservation online quoted me at .59/ mile. I was charged .79/ mile. I request a puck up time of 12 noon but had to come back at 12:30 because the truck was not ready. I was not offered the $50 credit that was noted online when it was not ready. The bed was not cleaned when I picked it up but I was instructed to sweep it or be charged a $25 fee. Someone had smoke in the truck and left trash in the truck prior to my picking it up.

Both Robyn in Arizona who took my reservation and the gentleman who was at the counter when we picked up the van, were exceptional. I believe they deserve a raise, Great customer service.

Make sure all items to be charged to the customer are reviewed verbally with the customer -- I didn't ask for the care coverage ($15.00) and stated so at the time of reservation. When paperwork was processed at the time of truck pick-up, the clerk did not confirm that coverage was not requested. I was charged and could not get this corrected immediately because the clerk was not available. (Out to lunch, then closed at 3:00 pm.) The main office is in the process of correcting this error. 2) There is a discrepancy with the fuel re-fill level in the paperwork. The truck take-out forms said 5/8 tank re-fill, the receipt after truck return said 3/4 tank re-fill. Total miles used was 18 and I paid over $20 in fuel.

The agent was slow working; the 26" truck was not clean in the box, nor had the cabin been detailed; the box leaked and a good portion of my belongings were soaked.

Trailer had a flat tire before we left and dropped a leaf spring in Montana. We had to have the trailer changed out. We were lucky that someone saw that it was broken so that there wasn't an accident. It could have been so much worse. The tire was free moving an the leaf springs were completely unmounted.
