Have someone there that knows what they are doing. The Uhaul was closed but the garage was open. If I would have had to wait it would have been 2days and if I would have had to go off island to another location it would have cost me hundreds of dollars .These people don't care. Typical island people.

Provide the correct equipment at this location. Only one truck was available and it was unsuitable for our task. Website guaranteed and confirmed a suitable truck but there never was a suitable truck at this location. Telephone contact revealed an abysmal ignorance of local geography. Nearest suitable truck would have taken a day (and a ferry) to retrieve.

Happy with the rental. U-haul could not guarantee the equipment at this location (a U-haul policy issue) but the local staff tried hard to keep it available for us and were very accommodating, thank you! The truck itself worked well for us and made our move easy. We used about 9 gallons (40L) in 58 miles (less than 100km), so it's not exactly economical (shows 8 mpg on the computer). Can't imagine why it's not a diesel, but then this is N America...

The booking process was so bad it was almost amusing. Three calls and 40 minutes listening to an endless loop message inviting me to rate my experience on-line. It was bad enough before the on-hold message! Your staff have no concept of renting vehicles in rural locations. They appear to be hamstrung by the system. (Can't book the vehicle when I want it because the computer thinks the office is closed despite my assurance it is not.) And then...when I have the vehicle in my driveway, I get a call to say I have no contract for it. Really?? Shape up!

Better training for knowledge of systems, follow up from head office was not timely. The staff at the pick up point assured me that it was set up for off hours pick up but the head office inquiry said they didn't know I had picked up the truck, asked if I had a contract... assumed that the computerized confirmation was OK but the service person from head office suggested that since I didn't have a written/paper contract, I could be in trouble if stopped by police. The service person would not listen to me hen I told her that her suggestion to call the source location wouldn't help as I knew they were not working or available on the weekend. Now I also have an overcharge on my credit card and have not received any response to the status of a refund....

Had to go on line to apply for a rental. Program is not user friendly, causing me to duplicate my application at Sidney location. Unable to open an account to correct my problem, after many different attempts a phone call to customer service cleared my duplication. To sign the return of the vehicle other problems, etc etc etc... finally my e-mail arrives as a prohibited file type. another trip to the office.......@#$%...
