Hello, I was very disappointed with my experience today. I called U-haul yesterday to let the store know that I would be picking up the truck at the Lancaster Highway location and dropping it off at the East Independence Boulevard location. I was told that I was all set and the pickup and drop-off locations were noted. I picked the U-haul up and when I tried to drop it off at the East Independence Boulevard location, I was told that I was not given the right type of truck to return to that location. I was given a local truck that needed to be brought back to the other location. Several phone calls later, no one was able to help me and I drove it all the way back to Lancaster Highway. I requested that I, at the very least, be reimbursed for the miles between the two stores since this was U-haul's error and I was told that was not possible. I was very disappointed by the lack of communication and concern at U-haul. I was very disappointed by the wasted time and money that I spent today. Thank you.

make sure ramps are locked when retracted. I had one to slide out and dragged on the road with no damage. This is something I will check myself the next time I rent a tow dolly. Still pleased with the service.

Provide vehicle with a full gas tank rather than 1/2 full. It's much easier to just fill it up on return rather than having to estimate how much gas gets it to the previous level.



I made my reservation about 3 weeks in advance. I reserved a 20' truck, an appliance dolly, and 10 furniture pads. When I arrived they did not have my truck, dolly, or pads. I was able to get a smaller truck but we had to move a refrigerator without a dolly and I had to make 2 trips with the smaller truck resulting in double the mileage fee and additional gas. While they did credit me the $50 reservation guarantee, they did not credit me for any of the mileage fee I incurred due to them not having the truck I requested. What's the point in reserving something in advance if they don't honor that reservation? Very dissatisfied.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. It began when I waited with another customer for 20 minutes at the front desk, with no associate in sight. About 15 minutes in I actually called the manager's cell phone which was posted on a plaque, and left her a voicemail letting her know her employees had basically left the store. When they did return I was informed that the gas level was less than when I picked up the truck (fair enough, I only drove the truck 10 miles total and have the documentation to prove it, but I didn't fill it up at all), so I went to the gas station 1/2 mile down the road and put in 3 gallons of gas for $7. When I returned, I was told that I would still owe $10 because I didn't put enough gas in. I DROVE 10 MILES AND BOUGHT 3 GALLONS OF GAS AND THAT WASNT ENOUGH?? Then the manager refused to come talk to me personally and had her workers tell me I should have checked the gauges before I left. When she finally emerged from her office, she told me that I should visually be able to tell the difference between a tank that was 14/16 full and 15/16 full. Her exact words were "it shouldn't be that difficult". I was speechless. If stealing $10 from repeat customers is so important to this company, that's fine. You got my $10. But I will NEVER use UHAUL again, and I will go out of my way to make sure that nobody that I come in contact with does either. You guys have a lot of competitors and I will gladly pick one of them

Clone the three wonderful ladies who helped me both with the drive and unloading from Raleigh and the loading and move to our apartment. I am awful with names but remember Semone and Debbie and ???? The check in was a bit disorganized, my tele reservation for Wed had been erased and made for Tues. Happily, there was still a van available. We had no problems overall.



I was upset that when I called to extend our time with our truck, I was told that they had booked the truck to another customer and we would have to have it back. We were not offered 24 hour service at our booking time. This really pushed us and put us in a bind.
