The pick up process was easy. The lady who helped me was friendly and everything was fairly simple. When I returned, I was asked by the employee inside if I was given the return instructions. I said, "I'm not sure," and he pointed to the papers in my hand. I was not given specific verbal instructions when I picked up so was unaware of anything other than sweeping out the back and filling the gas tank up. The issue was that I did not park the truck in the right spot and it noticeably bothered him and he was obviously put out that I did not follow the written instructions. I was moving so reading through the paperwork was not a top priority for me. I apologize for that. His response was, "I will take care of it," but his body language expressed a very passive aggressive response. It's not going to stop me from renting a u-haul there again, but it was poor customer service and I certainly won't speak praise of the experience because of it.

Location claiming glass in back and soda in front. Had truck for 90 mins. Went from facility to Abbey Carpet. Loaded 12' carpet roll into truck. Drove to location. Dropped of carpet roll, returned truck. 20 miles. Gas was at appropriate level. Truck had been dropped off by previous renter using key box, which employee had to go and retrieve the key from the box, so likely the truck had not been properly checked in or inspected. Then charged $55 for a bogus cleaning fee. Was told that I should have alerted them to the condition of their vehicle. The condition went unnoticed by myself and my 10 year old daughter with the exception of a small shard of glass I found on the rear bumper. Employee claimed they tried to reach me, but failed to leave a voicemail so they just went ahead and charged me. Unacceptable.

The truck was dirty. Dog food everywhere. Upon return the cashier was very rude,aggressive and argumentative the worst person we have felt with. Refused to listen. We are general contractors and have rented several times from your company but will be looking somewhere else. He should be fired

I rented a cargo van at the last minute on a Sunday and was treated as if I had given much advance notice. My endless questions were answered politely, professionally, and clearly. Everything I was told was 100% accurate. I will use this location again. I will recommend it unreservedly.

The location is not easy to find. No large signs, we had a very hard time finding it. Otherwise, the service was good, pleasant, nice. We used U-Hauls in my last move. and again now. We used 2 vans, and 3 trucks, smallest so we could do it ourselves. The people are easy to work with, friendly and availability has been good for us, very important. Being able to p/u one place and drop off another has helped us as well. This is the first time I have rented one myself and I was a bit concerned. No problem, the people were accommodating. This is about all the locations we used. Auburn is a major one and the man who helped me was very informative and pleasant. One man was in charge- I'm glad I didn't have to work with him. Serious and I did not get a "customer-first" impression from him. I've worked in customer areas the most. Vet, Dr., Stores and I can handle complaints and people with the attitude that I agree with them, understand....for the most part. You have... this company is helping you....this is how we do it period. Or this company is here for you, how can we make it a good experience and get you what you want/need. Which would YOU rather work with? Locations had different people, most were "how can I help?" Auburn was the same. The person in charge was harsh with the employees, loud in front of the customers and did not give off a good impression. The people we WORKED with were very good at their jobs and definitely made you want to come back, one of the first places to turn to. THAT is good customer service and will get return service every time. So, for the most part, timing and the vehicles worked well for us. Thank you.

I would have given an excellent rating, because Lisa went out of her way to help me when I rented this time and at previous times when calling and renting from her location... I feel like I always get good service and I am a 'regular'. Having said that, when I got my bill just now and see a fee plus tax for cleaning, I am going to have to dispute that. I most definitely should not have been charged for any cleaning! It was, without a doubt clean. All that I moved was brand new furniture and most of it was boxed up in brand new boxes. There was nothing that got moved that would have left any dirt in the truck. I truly do not understand how there could be a misunderstanding on this, and I regretfully now feel like returning a vehicle after hours is definitely something I should not do in the future. I am disappointed. When I called to ask what the fee was for, I was told the truck had to be swept out and abruptly told to contact UHaul directly. This truck was NOT dirty inside. It was filthy on the outside when I picked it up though. That didn't matter to me. Getting overcharged is unacceptable. This does matter to me. Please have someone get back to me about this. Thank YOU!

1) The location is in a very small lot and is very difficult to get into due to a coded gate blocking most of the off street area. 2) The storage company managing the U-hauls has their own set of rules they print and hand customers claiming how much $$ they charge for 5-6 different things if the customer fails to deliver. I've rented from u-haul for 15 years and have never seen that. 3) One of the things they will charge customers $35 for is failing to fold all furniture pads and bring all dollies, pads, etc to the office...and "place behind the back door" which I still am not sure which door this refers to as there are four doors along the same wall. 4) The truck had body damage, which is not a big deal. But it also was in need of an alignment badly. I'm so thankful I wasn't trying to go long-distance with that truck. 5) I reserved one size of truck and roughly 48-hours prior to my pickup, received an email saying that size was not available and instead only the smallest box truck would be. I rented from the Enchanted Parkway location in Federal Way, WA just two weeks ago and the experience was Night-and-Day. That location is fantastic. I will avoid this location in the future.

I've used U-Haul many times in the past and have had good experiences, but this time I was not happy at all... except with the young lady who worked in the office. The van smelled of cigarette smoke, which made me feel ill and gave me a headache. The van didn't run very well. I've driven a larger truck from U-Haul, and it drove very nicely. I don't know what it was, but I didn't like the way it drove. Then the drop box opening was too small for the key (it was a remote type of key). I called the number for the office, but I got someone at some corporate office. I had called to let the young girl at the office know that I was going to drop off the van and pick up my car, then I'd return the key the next day, within the 24-hour time limit. The woman at the corporate office told me that they would charge me for another day and argued with me about the key not fitting in the box opening. I'd checked it, and the girl at the office checked it; it did not fit. Anyway, the corporate office woman said to me "Lots of other people have used that drop box; there's no reason the key shouldn't fit." She was treating me like an idiot. I was very unhappy with that woman and her lack of helpfulness. Then, when I got back to the office to pick up my car, an hour after closing time, the only good thing that was to happen that day happened then; the girl in the office stayed late so I could turn in the key. We both had tried to put the key in the box before I'd left; she knew it didn't fit... so she stayed so I could turn it in. I was so relieved. She made everything okay because of her kindness. The whole experience, however, made me never want to use U-Haul again. My thanks goes to that young lady; she's a sweetie.

I do not remember the woman's name who helped me, but she was awesome. There was a slight concern with some of my credentials and she helped get it cleared up and get me on road very professionally and patiently. If I needed storage, I'd be calling. Thanks so much.

Charged me 60$ for gas! When Uhual had 1/8 of fuel at pick up. Will never use again, will also use every chance I can to steer people away from these thieves!!
