The reservation system should confirm the address. I didn't realize there were 3 in Ramona. I was about 1/2 a mile from the correct store. It wasn't a big deal but had I been dropped off or short on time it could of been an issue.

Everything at this location was perfect. Enrique was very helpful, professional, and kind. Moving is hard and sometimes emotionally difficult. Enrique and the other men there made everything so easy it was one less thing to worry about. I watched how he handled other customers and he handled each person in the same manner. I will never hesitate to recommend U-Haul to family and friends. Thank you

Needing a truck for our move, I did some research online and found 4 UHaul yards in my town of Ramona, CA. We're moving locally, so wanted to rent from the closest yard to keep mileage costs down. I went to the closest yard (All About Fun RV Sales) and was told the best way to guarantee a truck was to book online. He said I might have to pick up from another yard than his, but could get the truck we needed in Ramona. I took his suggestion and booked online, and the confirmation email listed the All About Fun yard as the pickup location. The day before our rental date we got a call from the Poway Road (Poway, CA) yard confirming our reservation from their yard. I told the caller that I had booked and received a confirmation from Ramona. He said that the national dispatch I had booked with wasn't always aware of what was going on locally, and Poway was the closest yard with the 26 foot truck we wanted. I didn't want to drive to Poway because it was not convenient, and would add $25 in mileage to the cost of the rental. We said we would rent from them if they would waive the fee or bring the truck to Ramona, but they were unwilling to do so. We went back and forth about it a bit, and while I was on the phone with him I went back onto the Uhaul website and was able to book a truck from the Ramona yard. He said it wasn't correct and if I cancelled the reservation I wouldn't get a truck so I left the reservation in place. Later that afternoon we went to Valero in Ramona to have a propane tank filled and while there noticed they had UHaul trucks in their lot. My husband enquired with the clerk and was told the 26 foot truck was available. He gave us a number to call and we were able to book the truck for pickup from their yard within minutes. I don't know for sure what was going on with Poway UHaul, but it certainly felt like some sort of scam to me. Why they would call me and insist that they were the only place I could get the truck I needed when I had a confirmation in hand for the Ramona location seems really fishy. I am very glad that circumstances put us at Valero to see the truck in their lot, and that the clerk in the store was so helpful. The truck itself is fab, nearly new and less than 1K miles on it. It even came with some moving pads and things for free! It drives like a dream and is big enough for everything we need to move. I'm going to give the Valero in Ramona 5 stars for being so helpful and providing a clean truck with some moving pads thrown in for free. On the other hand, I'm giving the Poway Road UHaul no stars for trying to pull some sort of bait and switch on us. Let the buyer beware when renting from Poway Uhaul on Poway Road!!

Poor guy there was overworked trying to manage both the gas station and the uhaul reservations.

Would like to have had a walk around of the vehicle prior to just driving away in it. When I opened the back it was full of dust and debris - not my doing, but on return, staff questioned me about the cleanliness. If I had a broom I would have gladly cleaned it but not something accessible at the time. I also had to rewrite a contract for a different truck when I realized first one didn't have a ramp, again found out after I had keys. Took an hour to rent the thing.

He even said I should have gotten all the money back for the trailer and insurance

To have more options on the size of the trucks. I was looking to rent a pick-up not available at the time. So I had to go to the next size.

I rented a box trailer. I arrived with the hitch, ball, and my vehicle has a 7 pin electric plug. The trailer used a 3 pin plug. Rather than make me buy an adapter (which I will probably never use again) for $21, I believe a better solution would be to offer loaner adapters. I would be happy to make a $20 security deposit for it, but this trailer rental was used to donate large items, so the extra cost was not appreciated.

John was very professional. He was very courteous even though we had to multitask run in the store and assisting me with my needs. And I would definitely recommend this facility to others in the area. Understand that this is more than just a U-Haul facility and you might need to be considerate of the demands of multiple customers at one time. Again Jon handle it with flying colors and I am joyed the exchange.

Heads up..Someone needs to checkout the front suspension of the truck. On regular asphalt roads, at 60 MPH (plus or minus), no problem. On concrete freeway with the grooves cut into surface to increase traction, the front end wobbles and vibrates pretty bad. Almost feels like the wheel could eventually fall off. Again, it doesn't show up at lower speeds or on asphalt, just concrete with grooves at 60 MPH +. If you have any questions, email or call.

The service was good and the equipment was in very good condition. They did not have the furniture pads I requested.
