Have accurate billing and not try to overcharge you. This is the second time I have been overcharged by U-Haul and told different stories when having them explain their reasoning for their extra charges. However, these were 2 different locations. The corporate office was absolutely no help and just wanted to put me in touch with the managers so they didn’t have to deal with the problem. My suggestion would be never use U-Haul because they suck

Apparently this was the first day for this location as a U-Haul outlet, and the owner of the store was woefully unprepared. He initially tried to send us to another location 'to get paperwork'. While we were trying to sort that out, I received a call from Jeff Skinner, who identified himself as the regional manager. Jeff offered us an extra 100 miles for our rental to make up for the problems picking up the truck, but I declined because we had no use for those extra miles. I asked, instead, if he could give me a discount. He became very argumentative at that point, saying that he didn't think I deserved it because the truck was there and it was ready to go. I pointed out to him - repeatedly - that it took nearly 90 minutes beyond the scheduled pick-up time for us to get the keys for the truck and check it out, and that surely warranted some consideration. He eventually offered to reduce the rate by $75, all the while saying that he didn't think we deserved it, and I accepted his offer. Since my credit card had already been charged, he said he would have to process the reduction separately. It is now more than three weeks later, and he has yet to make the refund to my credit card. I have saved a text from Jeff as documentation where he agreed to make the refund.
