This was the worst experience I have had moving, period! I have moved over 10 in the same amount of years and this was the absolute worst experience yet. The pick up location Charged my card twice and still could not give me a receipt for me to leave the pick up location. This caused me to behind on my schedule to meeting with the movers at my apartment. I had to use my credit card for a third charge of over $800 just to make it back in time to meet my movers. I attempted to contact the local fleet manager who answered the phone twice and after not being able to fix the double charge, stopped answering the phone. And still to this day has not returned my calls to address this issue. This customer service is unacceptable and I would not wish it on anyone else having to move. Additionally, possibly related, however unconfirmed is the fact that after my interaction with this pick up location and their failure to cancel over $1600 of an unwarranted charge, my credit card information was stolen. My information was stolen and charges ranged from $100-$150, I caught it in time and had to cancel my primary card in the middle of my move because of questionable customer service, professionalism and potential identity theft associated with this location. Never again will I use a U-Haul and what I recommend anyone utilize the pick up location in Rockville.

Keeping accurate records of what is agreed on at the time that the contract is signed would be a good start. I had a quote of roughly $75 and was charged $300. I had to make numerous calls and file complaints to get the money refunded back to my account. over a week later and there is still $200 that is outstanding on my contracted amount. How dare you! Terrible experience And Fuck that asshole Jay for letting this matter escalate without so much as picking up the phone or returning a call. He texted me 8 days after I raised concerns about what I was being billed. What is this, Jr High? I would think a phone call, an explanation, and an apology would be in order for the hap hazard way my finances were treated. UHaul can eat a dick starting with Jay

Staff was nice. Facility was not. Gas gauge mark was not accurate. Told the truck used lots of gas and to fill up, yet it only used little, and the 1/8 departure tank was more than half full when returned. It was a $30 unnecessary expense.

The location was hard to locate. Not much signage. The representative was nice but not very communicative. For instance, he didn't tell me what I was signing, or how to return the truck, or how to use it. He also asked me if I wanted him to show me the truck (yes...). Additionally, it wasn't explained to me that the furniture pads I reserved were not available; I had to run back in and ask after checking the truck. I luckily found a dumpster of cardboard to use for makeshift protection, but my desks suffered damage in the end. It would have been nice to know I wasn't getting what I needed ahead of time, or even at all when I paid.

It wasn’t U-Haul. It was some third party that was only trained in the exchange. I rented a pully while I was out of town. It said to go to a U-Haul place in advance for them to show you how to load your car but I couldn’t do that due to being out of town. I explained my situation to one U-Haul location and they said not to worry about it, they could show me when I pick up. The guy at this third party said he wasn’t allowed to show me how or help me hook it up. It took me several YouTube videos and many failed attempts to hook it up. I hate picking up from third parties.

The service truck driver that delivered the car transport to the pick up location was an absolute gentleman, went way out of his way to hook my vehicle correctly, and made sure I understood how to use the equipment. The counter staff was courteous and efficient. A very good experience!

It would be nice if the truck was cleaned inside and out. Whoever rented the truck before left there information . Thanks!

It seemed like there were a couple of items left in the cabin of the van from the previous user (sunglasses, bottle). This should be cleaned out, but otherwise the service was great. Someone was there on time and quickly processed everything to get us started.

My problem was with the auto check out and the price. I was charged $80 instead of 19.95, or it was not clear why the price was much more than I expected. I used half the estimated mileage, was 2 hours early, and it was still $128. Seems to expensive for a van for a few hours

There was a problem with the on line system- not a fault of the pack and ship staff, but u haul itself. This was the only glitch. The pack and ship staff were stellar, & very proactive in dealing with the problem.

I scheduled to pick up a trailer online and it confirmed with the location a week in advance. When I arrived to the pick up site, the employee informed me that they did not deal trailers. Called uhaul with the concern since we were supposed to be moving, in which I was told that I could go back into a waiting list. I was sent to 4 different locations around town who had trailers, however every time o went in with my confirmation text for the location I was told that there were no trailers available. Drove to multiple locations all over town as I was sent there via confirmation text and email and each time was turned away to another location. Finally after two hours of driving around in the rain and horrible rude customer service we finally got to pick up a trailer(almost didn't make it before they closed). This was the single worst experience with uhaul I have ever had. Being active duty, I have utilized uhaul to assist with moving across the nation multiple times without issues. However this experience has left a horrible taste in my mouth due to the lack of support from uhaul during this foul up on uhaul and their ability to schedule correctly as well as horrible customer service reps at multiple locations around Rockville Maryland who just blankly stared at my wife and I when arriving to a location that uhaul sent us too to retrieve the trailer we scheduled over a week ago. After this experience I will be looking to Penske or budget for all of my moving needs as well as advising my friends and family in the military to do the same. Thank you for the single worst moving experience of my life uhaul.

I returned the equipment before 5pm but the door was locked, so I put the key in the box. I tried to email the email address listed in the email but it was returned as undeliverable. Then my receipt email said it was returned at 7:30, which is incorrect.

Very nice but I wish they had called to say that the trailer had been brought in earlier. I had called in the morning and the gentleman said it wouldn't be ready until 2:30, but when i arrived the carrier man told me he had brought it to the spot the day before.

This was in some weird back lot and wasn't well marked. I hesitated leaving it there because I wasn't sure if it was the right place.

This was not my original drop-off location. It was fine was we could find it, though we dropped off after hours. Our original location was Parklawn in Rockville and was so completely packed that several people had to drive their rentals away instead of returning to that location. And because it was after hours, we had a hard time finding another location that would accept our trailer. It was an extremely frustrating process that took almost an hour an a half. Part of the problem at Parklawn is that the entire front lot was blocked by one truck because it was not the drop-off lot, but then there was not adequate room for drop-offs. That location needs to find a resolution to that issue--which I'm sure is a recurring one.

My only confusion was with after-hours drop-off. The process worked, but I was a little uncertain about how to complete the process and did not learn about the online check-in process until the next day.

Staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Definitely recommend. Need better signage at the road, a little difficult to find because it is a stretch of industrial park type driveways and buildings, and UHaul is at the back, furthest from the road.
