I was very happy with my cargo van rental. The van was newer, and everything was in good shape. The employee who helped me knew his stuff, and explained the 24/7 pickup well. Two things could be improved, one local, one corporate. Locally, the van was parked under power lines and was decorated with bird poop. Minor, yes , but it looked like generous seagull leavings. Also, be clear that you are relying on return of a clean vehicle. That's not required with rental cars. Corporate needs to better understand the impact of their 24/7 verification items. I am a retiree, and i own my own home (no lease papers). With those two choices removed, It's easy for me to present a passport. But the whole reason I used 24/7 was because I needed to pick the van up at 6:00 a.m.. how many friends do you have who you would subject to a possible 6:00 a.m. phone call? A credit report is very simple, why is that not a choice? Or produce utility bills with my name & address? Anyhow, it all worked, but the 24/7 took about 20 min. It was dark going to dawn, didn't help.

Fernando LIt was very helpful to be able to call the toll free number to find which location had (in stock) the type of trailer we wanted. They were able to locate it easily, but it would have been very difficult to do that online. It says on the trailer that it is NOT waterproof and we found that out first hand by driving in a storm. It seems rather silly that the trailers are not waterproof-- that's kind of the point of getting an enclosed trailer, isn't it? How on earth could we have protected our stuff from getting wet? I don't know. We were lucky(?) that the couch absorbed most of the water and only one or two boxes were soaked to the point of being useless. Overall, we were mostly satisfied. It would have been VERY convenient to leave the trailer 800 miles away when we were done with it, but that would have been several hundred dollars more, so I drove it back -- empty -- for 800 miles.
