I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone! I will not use your equipment again! I was told I had to drop the equipment off at a different location, problem is the next nearest location is about 40 miles one-way so that means I would have to drive 80 miles for your convenience. Luckily the for me the person at my drop off point agreed to accept the equipment.

I was told yesterday in order for me to haul 5000lbs of boxed tile I would require the 20 ft truck. I had originally planned for an open trailer but I told the man renting to me, I could not find my hitch. He asked what I was hauling, tile I said and that is when he said "youre going to need a 20 footer". I took his word for it. Today I bring back the truck. Perfect condition as I had to sweep the entire back of truck before I could put my tile. There was a lot of sand and small rock, tape and stray peices of plastic wrap. The small rock was a concern as I did not want scratched or chipped tile. The front of truck I cleaned the driver side cup holder because it was sticky on the bottom. Anyway, back on point. The store clerk said to me that I should have rented a trailer. I was taken aback. I reminded him of yesterday and that I couldn't because I didn't know where I put my hitch. He said the conversation never happened and had I mentioned a misplaced hitch they would have loaned me one. 1) recommended too big of truck needed and I trusted he knew best 2) denied a conversation about a trailer and hitch. I think it would have been substantially less had I been a more informed consumer but I did not believe I would be given something too big for the job.
