Not very friendly ,truck was only 1/2 full of gas ,we had to wait to get extras loaded onto truck that we had pre- ordered online (blankets and dolly). The place was dirty with lots of negative signs.

I called to find a drop off location and was on hold for 20min before hanging up. Searched a few locations in wilmington Ca off Avalon Street and one refused to take the trailer although I was told any location would take it. Drove around for 30 min trying to find a location that would finally accept it.

Again, I had reserved my truck online. When I was done with my move, I headed to the drop-off location at about 4:30pm. When I arrived at the site, it was closed. When I called the number, it said they are open Tuesday – Saturday, and that they closed at 2p on Saturdays. I went thru the self drop-off process on the mobile app. I had to take pictures of the truck, odometer, and gas level indicator 3 different times, as every time I tried to submit it, it would error out. I was very frustrated because the location didn’t clearly state that it would be closed at 2p or else I would have picked a full service location. The self return process is very difficult to utilize. I was very concerned because the drop off instructions told me to lock-up the two dollies and one appliance dolly I had rented inside the cab. They wouldn’t fit in the cab, so I had to leave it in an unlocked truck bed, hoping someone didn’t come along and take them, leaving me financially responsible. When I called the Customer Service 800 number, I waited on hold for over forty minutes before I could speak to a live person. The return lot was closed and locked, so I had to leave the truck on the street. I wasn’t able to discard my trash before returning the truck. Since the location was closed, I couldn’t make arrangement to discard the trash, so I was subsequently charged $75 (cleaning fee.) The entire rental experience was negative for me. I don’t think I would recommend using U-Haul until they fix their app and increase their level of customer support.

My entire order was poor from start to finish. I was supposed to have a 24 hour accesssible reservation on my phone which there was an error in processing from U-Haul’s side where there was “no equipment assigned”. Calling a 24 hour customer service representative was only able to give me suggestions to go to a different location that was far away. I waited in my car for 45 minutes for this location to open it when I got there the service staff was not friendly and made me stand around and wait for about another 30 minutes before assisting me. I hired movers and they were at my house waiting for me for over an hour which I had already paid them for time. Additionally due to these extreme delays I was late in picking up my dog from a pet hospital after my moving that was scheduled at a certain time which cost me an additional $300 in hospital vet bills. I’m very dissatisfied with this entire experience and process. I would like to be contacted by a manager or a customer service representative regarding my poor experience. I would expect more from this company.

I am currently sitting on hold with customer service, I was charged $108 when this receipt (and my expected charge) says $45. I picked up the truck at 5 and returned it at 730, but the location was not open to know that I returned early. Why was I charged more than double my quote? And how am I supposed to get a early drop off discount when the location is closed?

the worst experience I have ever had. No electricity. when I checked the vehicle back in it wouldn't let me check out. I called and they told me my reservation was canceled. no one knew anything. Then all of a sudden I had new checked out vehicle. I called twice no one know anything. then My credit card was charged twice. they told me when i made the reservation it was 60.00 $ a day then they charged me 89.00 $ for the day ended up costing me 164.00. they told me a manager would call me I waited all day. and still 4 days later no one had called. bad constomer service

Provide newer or better maintained truck, especially for long distance and difficult route. Our truck had been sideswiped previously so drivers door did not close properly. Also, gas filler was near-impossible to work with because it was deformed. Took 10-15 minutes to fill. Sometimes, station pumps simply did not mate up to fill and I had to leave in search of another.
