When I used the U-Haul website I entered all if my information and what equipment I wanted from the nearest location to me. I received a call that the location I was getting the truck from was closed and was redirected to another location. They didn't have the truck I was looking for which made me wonder why I was talking to them in the first place. I was redirected to the location i eventually rented from. The truck was fine, ran great and all that. The employee did not show me or tell me where to deposit the truck or key when I was done and I didn't think anything of it at the time. Halfway through moving I realized this and called the number to find they were closed. I was redirected to another location and I told them I didn't know what to do with the truck. They transferred me to another location near LAX. They told me for them, just park in their lot and leave the key in the door slot. When I was done moving I took the truck back to where I rented it and their lot was closed and locked with a gate. I called the number on my contract and spoke to someone and was then rerouted to customer support. They tried to call the manager of the location and I was transferred to her cell phone. She was not told from customer support what was going on and didn't know who was calling her. She said she was going to get the employee who deals with this stuff I guess and was hung up on. I called again and was again transferred to customer support and explained to someone named Jeff who so far is the only one good at his job. He said normally overnight drop off is allowed. He tried to call three different numbers for the employees at the location and no one answered. He told me if I can park near the gate in a way where the truck won't be towed and drop off the key. All in all customer support in fucking terrible after an hour of truing to get rid of a goddamned truck. Jeff is the exception and was great.

Customer service was okay but took forever to get the truck set up. Not only that, no one knew how to install the tow system or hook my car up. They had to use a YouTube video just to figure it out. All together, we were at the rental place for over 3 hours!! Then, after dropping off the truck in Roseville, the representative noticed the chains were improperly set up and dragging on the ground- which is a HUGE hazard!! Please take the uhaul trucks from these guys. Unprofessional and bad experience!!

When I arrived at the Allied Rental Car pickup location, a woman named Maria (Hispanic, 30s, shoulder-length brown hair) told me essentially that the vehicle had been picked up under my name, as if I had been there myself. I showed her my license, told her I had done the advance express reserve, and showed her my credit card. She was rude, unapologetic, and either refused to acknowledge that there had been an error on the part of that location and staff, or was incapable of grasping it. When I told her that I had been promised online that I would receive $50 if the vehicle was not there for me as promised. It wasn't, but Maria did not get that either, did not care, and told me in no uncertain terms there would be no $50, no vehicles were there to rent, and she intended to take no action whatsoever because "the contract had been opened up." I had a paid helper, whom i still had to pay. Terrible experience. I telephoned UHaul and spoke with an associate named Gina. Gina got it, but she seemed astonished when after 30 minutes I told her I had to get off the phone (I had a helper I was paying and now a small Kia instead of a van so many more hours). Gina told me she would file a complaint about Maria at Allied Car Rental, and that I would get the promised $50. That does not cover my loss or cost, but it's something. And it's something you held out as a sort of guarantee or gesture to say, "You can trust us," therefore, I should not have to ask for it. But it appears that I do. Gina told me someone would contact me about the $50. Instead, I was emailed a receipt, and asked, "How was your rental?" Outrageous. The invoice was not signed, and had a 760 phone number (that did not match the one I provided at reservation time). Maria read off the number as if to prove I had taken the vehicle (ugh). I told Gina that although it was not a matter of my responsibility, there was a driver driving who was not covered by the insurance I had purchased (no deductible option), and that because the driver may have given a correct telephone number, she or someone would be wise to contact him and resolve that for Uhaul's sake, the driver's, and anyone who might be involved collaterally. The invoice wasn't signed, the phone number didn't match the reservation, a driver apparently picked up without showing his license (who knows if he had one) and driving off with BW's paperwork when he was not BW, and that was fine by him, and UHaul didn't catch it, and Allied certainly didn't catch it, and BW got no vehicle, no apology, no UHaul initiated communication of apology or rectification, no $50 anywhere in sight, and a day-and-a-half later, the mistake lives on. Oh, and talk about missed opportunities to grasp that the person driving off in BW's vehicle under BW's reservation with a BW invoice WAS NOT BW: It appears that the rental was paid with a portion charged to one card, and another portion charged to another card. So two c

I thought the place was great although Tustin was much closer but I guess never had the size. It would have been nice to return it there but I guess this was was for local only. But the staff and facility on Main Street were just great.

Allow parking in lot while using the moving truck. Nice staff there. Truck was filthy. Looks like it was driven from AZ to CA and wasn't cleaned.

2 items come to mind. First leather cover for the hard plastic steering wheel, which gets very sweaty when driving. Secondly a backup camera would do wonders in backing up.

I should have went directly to the source - Can Clemente to be assured I would get a reserved truck at a good pickup location and one available in a time frame that was doable for me. Bad enough the help was slow, unapologetic/apathetic..kept telling me it was my CC/debit card that was the problem (as I knew, it was your software), it was impossible to conduct my move inside a 5 hour window of truck availability.Lesson learned.

When I walked in the place seemed dirty. I don't believe that is the staffs fault; I believe the structure is just very old. Physical appearance of a place tells me a lot and is a lasting impression to me. The way the office space was cluttered with a lot of things however tells me that the staff is lazy. The staff was decent however. I wouldn't say friendly. I felt like I was a nuisance. The staff seemed bothered by my arrival and eye contact was at a minimum. However he did do his job and got me out of there quickly which was great.

The two employees kept answering the phone and transferring calls and made us wait to pick up the rental and to drop off. I probably spent about an hour to pick up and drop off rental. I spent more time at the rental office than I did to move the patio furniture.
