I originally was going to have a trailer hitch installed here. People working here were rude, disorganized, uncaring, unhelpful, deceptive and my only solace is I never will deal with them again.

I was told we would pickup truck in Healdsburg, CA. Upon arrival the store was closed for the entire day. Phoned U-haul and told we needed to go to Santa Rosa 20 miles away to get truck. Drove to Santa Rosa and store closed. Unable to get help on phone put on hold for 45 minutes, gave up waiting on phone and drove to next u-haul store which was also closed, but employee at gate told us to go mile down road to a 4th u-haul location. At that location an employee had to call to get contract switched over to that location before she was able to assign a truck. We then had to drive over 20 miles back to location where we were to have rented truck. This whole fiasco took over 2 hours and our hired movers left and (we are in our late 60's) and had to move the furniture ourselves. Upon return of truck again in Santa Rosa, an additional 20+ miles we shouldn't have had to drive from our original contracted agreement, I wanted to report my compaint and was told gruffly (by an unsympathetic employee) call 800-GO-UHAUL. When I arrived home an emailed receipt charged me an additional $56.50 for fuel and cleaning. We had to travel over 60 extra miles because the truck was not where we were supposed to pick it up and we returned the truck in the exact condition as pickup after cleaning out inside of cab and except for routine expected outside grime from on road driving. No additional charges should have been given! With all the time we lost to make our move and the extra miles we had to drive do to U-Haul incorrect location information, and having lost our hired movers, U-Haul should be paying me for ALL the inconvenience and mess-up due to U-Haul. I have the email showing where and when my rental should have been done. What is U-haul going to do about this extremely stressful and frustrating contracted rental? Reservation had been made for a 15' truck. Staff was not prepared and had to switch out trucks (twice) because of lost keys and poor staging of trucks in yard. The result was a lengthy wait while I paid my staff at my place of business to sit on their butts and wait.

The contract is a little confusing as to the after hours check in. Is the $20 charge only for checking in after hours or is that just for the Uhaul technician checking the equipment in?

I called and reserved a specific trailer at a specific location. They confirmed my reservation. When I got there at my scheduled pick up time, they said they didn’t have my trailer and wanted me to drive over 60 miles to get one.

Well I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the on line booking I had ordered to have 2 helpers the day of my move. I realize they are independent from U-Haul. However it is a option we can request through your website. The helpers never showed. No phone call. Nothing. U-Haul should either drop this option or fix it. You should have some accountability here. When I mentioned this to the person checking me in today she said oh that happens. How ridiculous. !!!! Also I had rented a truck a few weeks ago with no problems. Today I had an issue with time and she said I can drop it off in the off hours. But there is a 20$ charge now. When asked about that the clerk had no clue as to why. Just mention its new this week She said I guess they want us to get yelled at by the customers. What kind of answer is that Not very professional. Truck was good and easy to drive. That’s the positive here

This place has all of the usual Uhaul goods, but they also have a fantastic crew of people. I had a Ubox shipped and stored here. Due to some mix-up or other with the scheduling, the box was hidden and I had to wait for nearly 3 hours while they found it. While that was frustrating, the employees were very gracious and apologetic. They gave me an extension on my truck rental since I lost 3 hours of my morning. Overall, the hassle of waiting for 3 hours until they found my box was offset by their willingness to focus on my problem.

Poor Customer service.. when busy need to address perception of no one doing anything even if working on something else . Only one person working counter, numerous other people ( I counted at least 5 others) working but none would so much acknowledge people in line. Finally manager came out to help. One lady on the phone at counter with pink hair constantly complaining not only about computers but many other things but not helping people infront of her. Just un-professional

I used the new online/app system and it did not go well. The truck i reserved was given to the wrong person before i got there and i had to wait in line for an hour. The team working made it right for me- which i appreciate - but it took far to long. bottom line, the online system that is supposed to be time efficient ended up taking longer than the normal process.

The customer service was horrible! I made a reservation for a truck and car dolly weeks in advance. I waited over an hour and a half to get my rental. The truck had a malfunction and had to be replaced (apparently it wasn't checked first). The car dolly wasn't attached (they assigned one from another truck so they had to move things around instead of using one of the many extras they had on the lot). After I received the replacement truck and car dolly, they wouldn't help me load/guide my car onto the dolly. As I was doing it myself, the car dolly popped up. It was not secured to the truck hitch! I called the manager over to show him. He walked over with an employee. I pointed at the hitch and the employee understood right away that the car dolly was not secured tot he hitch while the manager got defensive. Just a horrible experience!

I wish it was more clear that I should have refilled the fuel so I dont get charged the inflated gas prices upon returning the truck. Other than that it was a nice and easy process!

Except for Adrian and Elijah on shift that afternoon I was not helped by the other Children employed there. They were running away, one was claiming to be on his break so he didn't have to help (had a lazy eye and a star on his nametag), and another was on his phone, and yet another was listening to music. When I asked one man child where I should park to get the hitch unhitched he flopped his hands and said, "I dunno." He was wearing a black baseball cap and black sunglasses. I was incensed...if not for Adrian and Elijah I would condemn all young people... never want to do this again. GIVE ADRIAN A RAISE DAMMIT HE'S SMART AND HAS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE (besides Elijah) THAN ALL THOSE OTHER DEGENERATES YOU EMPLOY.
