Very professional



During our move, three people injured themselves on the trailer hitch extending from the rear of the 10' truck. One of the injuries was a deep shin gash requiring bandages to staunch the bleeding. When loading or unloading the truck, people are looking ahead, not down. Without a protective barrier, the exposed hitch on the 10' truck presents a significant risk of injury to customers and by extension, potentially significant liability to U-Haul.

Location was fine, although having several men approach me for day labor work was unnerving; even when I said no thank you. Problem was I locked keys in cab and when I called, central dispatch said no second key (didn't) check with location and never passed along message to location to call me. $210 later I returned the truck per contract terms. Everything was great and was by far the best Uhaul experience I have ever had. The only thing I would say needs improvement is room for regular cars/parking signs. It was confusing and I couldn't find a place to park my regular car while my husband was picking up and dropping off the Uhaul.

I was given a reservation for a different location (415 Fairfield Ave.) and when I arrived there, the office was locked and closed. This was very aggravating as I was on a time schedule but when I called the Jefferson office they were very helpful and I went there and got the truck. In the future, I will only rent from the Jefferson location, nowhere else.

I booked a car carrier online for your nanuet NY location, when I got there the trailer wasn’t there. I had to do ALLthe leg work to find a trailer. I was not happy at all. This was the first time I ever used Uhaul. I ended up calling the Stamford CT location and they had one. So from Nanuet NY I had to go to Stamford CT. NO other Uhaul site had a car carrier.

Well, I was sent to this location, thank god, from the Fairfield Ave location in Stamford. Apparently something happened to the person that "knows how to use a computer", Which is exactly what was said to me at the Fairfield Ave location. After they call someone else that knows how to use a Computer and has dealt with the online reservations before, arrives, they don't remember the password to get on to the online reservations or some part because it wouldn't let him log on to anything, I am not sure how your online portion works on the location end, when someone picks up a vehicle but they couldn't log on. All this was happening while the key was right on the desk and the car was right in front. He told old me he couldn't help me and was sent to the Jefferson St location. When i got to the Jefferson St location, I was told that the van that I had reserved, had been dispatched....?!!? Fortunately the awesome staff at this location knew what they were doing and got me a van and hopefully fixed my situation on the back end. All this took an hour of my time when I was on a time constraint.

The app didn't work for check-out after hours. The pre-fuel amount was 5/8 tank, and upon checkout U-Haul claimed it was 3/4. I spent too much time on the phone trying to verify truck condition st checkout becsuse the app wouldn't work. I had to take the truck on faith. I took pictures of the truck, mileage, and fuel at checkout in case there are issues down the road. Process could have been much better, but I understand that things don't always go as planned.

If there's rental accessories that weren't used and brought back, do not charge the renter for the accessories anyway. I'm still awaiting the price adjustment. Please reflect this in my bill.
