My experience with this location was very stressful. When I arrived expecting to pick up my enclosed trailer, I was told to wait 20min for the representative to arrive. I waited for 25min and called the number provided. I was Immediately told he did not have any units available. I informed the rep that I received an email stating my unit was in fact available and ready to be picked up at that loctation. The rep than changed his mind and said he needed to check his computer. After waiting 10min I went inside the store to talk to the clerk, who is also the uhaul rep. I was motioned to come behind the desk and fill out paper work. The rep was very confused and ill informed about the process. The trailer had empty plastic water bottles set on it, the trailer filthy on the outside.

The extremely rude foreign worker at this location refused to disconnect the trailer saying that "You need to disconnect it. I don't know how to do it." and just walked away. I'll be using other truck/trailer rental companies in the future.

Not to good here. I called ahead of time to ensure that I could drop off the rented equipment within a certain time frame as I reserved online. However, the person that answered the phone told me that they do take auto-tranports at that location and told me to go elsewhere. I was not prepared to elsewhere so I called the U-Haul 1-800 number for assistance. I was told that I could in fact drop the equipment off at that location. When I got there the attendant was very short and actually asked me why I called corporate on him. I explained that I called to find out why I could not do as I had reserved online. Needless to say I dropped the equipment off as I reserved, but could have done without the exchanged words at that location. I will NEVER go there again!

When I went to pick up the trailer at 4:30pm. I had to not only wait 30 minuets to be helped because the clerk chose to help every customer that came in after me buying his convenience store snacks. When I was finally helped I had to use his computer and fill out the information from start to finish. Including when selecting the trailer. I selected AV 5053 not even really knowing what exactly I was doing. By the time I was able to leave it was 5:30pm. I had to go to the side of his store, dog out the trailer, connect the trailer, and then go inside and see if I can leave. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THAT LOCATION !!!!

The man said I would have a drop off fee and I told him no. I prepaid and would not pay anything else. The location was dirty and not safe. I would not recommend this location

In reference to question 3 above, There is an unexplained charge on my receipt. The unexplained charge currently make me cautious about recommending the location to a friend. In my previous U-Haul rentals, I haven't had any unexplained charges on my receipt.

The Tampa location did not have the van I reserved. Merchant ASSURRED me several times the same $100 cost for a larger truck. Sent contract to my email but could not read on my cell phone. Checking email on my laptop later bill reflects a $116 rental charge. Text book bait & switch. Tampa U Haul merchant can't be trusted.

This is the first time I ever rented a truck from a lacquer store, but is was actually fast and easy. They hand you the key and off you go. I'd rent here again, nice people, friendly, a new experience for me but I'd recommend it, 5 stars here, fast and easy!!!

I am protesting the charges and have an objection filed. I never received a contract upon trailer pick up or a receipt for charges. When I contacted UHaul home office to ask for help they informed me of unauthorized charges for insurance and rate charges above the price I was quoted (with military discount). I’m still waiting to talk to customer service.

I was happy to find a rental on Thanksgiving where I could use the self check-in service. I reviewed the procedures for the process and watched the video on line. I reserved my truck lined up my helpers for 7:00am so I could get done early and enjoy the afternoon with my family. Well that was the plan but the experience was nothing like it was represented. When I arrived at 7:00 the truck was parked at the a a convenience store that didn't look anything like what I saw when I reviewed the online video. I started the self check in process with my smart phone and got a message that said a "piece of equipment was missing" and to call a number for 24 hr support. I called the number but had to leave a voice mail. After waiting around for a while I called the 800 number for Uhaul. Then after some hold time I was asked to try the process again and it appeared to be working. The person I spoke to apologized and said they would give me a $50 credit after the rental was complete. I went through the check in process and got to the part for the key and it said the key was above the visor. Again different from the video where the keys would be in a lock box with a combination code. The problem was the truck was locked and I could not get the key. At 8:11am I received a call from Vince at original number I was to call. I explained the situation and he said the convenience store may have the key but they didn't open until 8:30. At 8:50 no one had shown up at the convince store so I called Vince back. He said his calls to the store owner were not being answered and if I wanted I could go to another location he had 13 miles away. While we were talking the store worker showed up and she had the key. She was very courteous and said her boss said she could come in at 9:00. Then then took my credit card and license, and took it to the back office before checking me in again and giving me the key. I think the auto check in showed I was checked in sometime after 7:00am. It was now after 9:00 and when I got in the truck I noticed the fuel was slightly lower than indicated on the rental agreement so I took a picture of the fuel gauge. The move took me longer than expected because I only had my helpers for the morning and was starting two hours behind schedule. I returned the truck at 5:00pm. The same lady who checked me in at 9:00am was still working and she said she would take care of everything. I was late for seeing my family so I rushed out without getting a receipt. I later sent a text to Vince and asked for a receipt to be sent as soon as convenient. The recipe came a few hours later. On he invoice was a small fuel charge so I sent a picture of the fuel gauge to the link that was included with the invoice. It remains to be seen if anything will be done about the fuel and $50 credit. In conclusion I think the self check in concept is a great idea but some locations should not be included if they are not up to the standards represented i

The clerk at the store had no idea what to do so we had to talk with someone on the phone. There was no paperwork to sign or to verify the equipment we were sent out with - gas, etc.

The gas station is easy to locate. Instructions are unclear, but after talking to the person at the counter, he told me all I had to do was back up the U-Haul and give him the key. Quick and easy interaction.
