We rented a truck and a tow dolly for a Hyundai Accent for a move from Tampa FL to Alexandria LA. When we were all loaded and ready to go we went to put the car onto the tow dolly. It would not go up the ramp without damaging the spoiler on the car. We drove the truck and dolly and the car to a Uhaul location in Ybor City to ask them how we are supposed to get the car on the dolly without damaging the car. They told us to find an incline or a curb to put the ramp on so that the angle wouldn't be so steep and then it would go on without damaging the car. So we drove around until we found a curb with enough room to drive the car onto and we put the ramp on the curb so that it was fairly level and we attempted to drive the car onto the dolly. The car went onto the ramp okay but could not get far enough forward for the front wheels to go into the recessed position for securing the car because the front spoiler was hitting the stop at the front. It wasn't even close. I called the Uhaul location that instructed us to do that and said that it still wouldn't go on the dolly without damaging the car. They double checked the the dolly being the right match for the car and said it should go on. In fact, everyone we spoke to at Uhaul and the information on their website said that vehicle would go on that tow dolly. It wouldn't and if they still say it will I would like someone from Uhaul to show me how to do it. Anyway we said we wanted to drop the dolly off as it was no use to us and we would just have to drive the truck and the car separately. They said they couldn't take it because we didn't rent it at that location and that we would have to take it to the location that we rented it from or we wouldn't get a refund for the dolly rental. So we drove to the other location and when we got there ( a food mart) the guy didn't want anything to do with it. In the meantime my wife had been on the phone with Uhaul and they instructed us to go to a location on Gandy Blvd where they would change out the dolly for a transporter and they would let them know we were coming. When we got there nobody knew anything about it so I called Uhaul again and spoke to another person who told me I had to take it back to the other location where we originally rented it from. I said that wasn't happening. They finally agreed that we could leave the dolly there and get the transporter. Guess what! The car wouldn't go on the transporter without the front stop damaging the front spoiler on the car. Our whole move was planned based on the information on the Uhaul website and the assurances from Uhaul employees that the tow dolly was the right one for our model vehicle. It was not! So, after driving across town twice to three different locations and four hours after we originally were setting off to drive from Tampa to central Louisiana with a Uhaul truck towing our car we were finally on the road with me driving the truck and my wife driving her car behind me. One word: NIGHTMARE!

They are so nice, friendly and humorous. I think they should stay the same.

The reservation process was a joke. I was told the wrong location and had to go to another location to pick up the trailer. The manager at the main uhaul store was clueless.
