We did not pick up a this location. We were assigned a location in Collins, MS. Since we had to pick up after hours, we chose the check-in option via phone. When we arrived, the truck was behind a locked gate. We called numbers listed on signs around the location and was finally given the phone number of the owner. They came 15 minutes later and unlocked the gate. Then we tried to check in with the phone, but it wouldn't go beyond the verification process. The person called my spouse to verify it was me picking up the truck and then nothing. It just kept saying waiting for verification. We called - was on hold for 30 minutes - and then the owner just went ahead and gave us the keys. When we got to our location, we realized that we did not have the dolly or furniture pads that we ordered. We called UHAUL and again was on hold for 30-45 minutes. The representative checked us in and noted that we did not have the necessary equipment. It was all eventually taken care of - but this was an awful experience.


We had to pick up at this location even though we reserved for Philadelphia, MS. This location was very inconvenient.

Honor the puck up location that the customer originally requested or at least have within a 10 mile radius the pick up location requested. I had to drive 30 miles to the location.

This was not the location that I requested and I had to go out of my way about 15 miles to get it and had to drop it back there at that same location which I was not happy with.

There was apparently some soda that had spilled on the floor before we got the truck that hadn't been cleaned completely because the floor was sticky, but other than that everything was great!


John was kind...but I had to reschedule my location pick up place four times. The last time John called me and wanted to schedule for Sunday. We were out state and didn't know the area at all. We were on a schedule and this complete experience was terrible. The trailer itself was very damaged because it was not functioning properly. The ramp section slot that holds the car was turning so much you couldn't back up without almost damaging your car. I have pulled trailers...I own a 33 ft RV and I know how things should function...and that this trailer is broken. So we couldn't stop anywhere on our 4 hr drive home unless we could pull straight through. When we dropped off trailer in Fultondale I showed the nice gentleman and he agreed it was damaged. I sincerely believe u haul owes me a refund of some type for all my frustrating trouble. Probably will not consider renting from them again otherwise.


We had rented a 6/12 trailer from Collinsville Ms drove 6hrs to get there and called them 5 times during the drive to make sure they had my trailer. Got answering machine on every call and did not have the trailer when we got there. After driving 6 hrs to get it we had to drive another 80 miles back the same way we came to get a trailer. So the $50 u say I will get did not pay for my gas or my time. I want another $50 off on my next rental.


I prefer using your U-haul location of Blackwell's on Hwy 84, Laurel, MS. I requested pick up at that specific location but our reservation was diverted (without our prior knowledge or agreement) to Southern States in Taylorville, MS which was 25 miles out of our way for the pick up. That location was very inconvenient for my move and although the owner was a nice person, he was very very slow in processing our paperwork during our pick-up.


Had engine light problems and it took the mechanic over 2 hours to arrive on site.


I was very disappointed on the arrangements made. We drove 60 miles out of our way to pick up the unit, when there was another unit we passed by 2 miles from our destination. This mess up cost us 2 hours of valuable time. Also the old man at Taylorsville took over 45 minutes to complete the paperwork, because he could not operate a computer. I am sure I will seek some company other than Uhaul in the future, unless some type of reimbursement is made.
