No one was at the location when I arrived per my scheduled pickup. Someone finally at the gas station was able to give me the keys for the vehicle after an hour of waiting around. I received no paperwork for this rental or had to sign anything because they claimed they were not able to give me any paper work and are now trying to charge me for additional miles that I didn't drive. And the back of the can was not clean prior to renting and was covered in snow when I picked up that I had to clean off myself.

The location I wanted close to my apartment ended up not having the equipment I needed. A new location was selected by a uhal rep, which was over half an hour away. This was a little ridiculous. I had to call and switch it to a closer location myself. Customer location and convenience should always be a top priority when picking a uhal location, not just getting the job done.

Pick up location was a liquor store. I arrived at 10:10am for a 10:00 pick up. The liquor store was closed, owner not around. I went to the gas and food store and a woman said she would call the owner. She spoke with him and he told her to handle the order. I had to wait as she had to take care of the store customers. The van was covered with snow. Bad service, bad location.

To no fault of the location I reserved the truck for 10am Sunday, we received a call The night before that he wouldn't be open til noon. This caused a problem for us, many of our friends were coming over at 10am to help, most of them could only help til 1pm. We were very upset of this mistake on behalf of Uhaul. We had to rearrange our whole day because of the error of times on the web site. Not very happy!!!!

Remove the U-Haul store from liquor store!! The worst customer service I had! it took me an hour to check out and they did not have any equipment I needed!

As much as I don't like to give negative reviews... When I arrived at U-Hauls Grand Island/Sheridan Drive location to pick up our rental (which is where I specifically told them I wanted to pick up when ordering). I had to wait 15 minutes to be waited on. Even though they had two employees. Only to be told I had to go to "another location" down the street. In a liquor store? What? Which I proceeded to go look for it? directions were sketchy at best. I put in mapquest. Upon arrival, I was dismayed to find the location run down, horrible driveway, garbage everywhere, I really didn't want to get out of my truck. Can't the owners take any pride in their establishment and surrounding property? Not what I expect of U-Haul! I had to wait while the "owner?" waited on customers in between my transaction. As if their time is more important than mine? Only to receive or not receive my receipt due to the printer being out of ink. No receipt provided. Ok, fine. I also really didn't want to leave my vehicle there, as I thought for sure it would get broken into. The worse was upon return of vehicle, When trying to complete transaction, again, having to wait while liquor was being purchased. Not once but twice, I gave the clerk my credit card, to be told it was declined. My fault I gave them the incorrect 3 number pin. Gave them another card, then another, not working, only to be told could I go get cash? don't think so! Finally he got the owner on phone and he walked him through it. Still no receipt, still no ink in printer. I was finally able to leave after 35-45 minutes which was so frustrating. In conclusion, if U-Haul is going to sub-deal, they should check out the establishments and make sure they are a good representation of who U-Haul is. This was not a good experience!
