When I called my original pickup location they said my reservation was dropped. I then had to call the main office who could only find the trailer I needed two hours away! Horrible business model that you can't guarantee a reservation and pickup location!

Scary place to rent truck! Needs to clean the place have truck prepared. Instead we had to dig the truck out of snow. Remove the snow off the truck. Checked fluids. And we put the oil in the truck. No customer severs at all!!! Just a nasty place! No sure if you would like your company represented in this way!
This location was inconvenient costing us two hours of time we needed thus causing us to pay for another night in Steamboat Springs. The condition of this location was deplorable. The facilities run down, piles and piles of papers and other items stacked on counter and throughout the store. Looked as though the owners of this place are horders. No working bathroom available, was told to take a "piss" out back. One of the hooks on the safety chains was broken, which took another 30-45 minutes for him to finally decide to take one off another trailer and replaced on the one I was taking. Seems they should have spare supplies since this probably caused a problem for the person who was coming to get that one later that day
Rather messy and somewhat disorganized. Didn't get the follow-up that was promised. Would rather go someplace else, but they're the only location for miles around.
Place is filthy but the people are very nice and helpful.
Barb and her husband Russell were a true Colorado rural home town team. Both were very personable and professional. Again, thank you U-Haul for having such a team in place. The kitties were nice to pet as well!
The service was awesome when I got to the location. The people I spoke to on the phone from the 800 number were very rude and condescending.
The place was covered with feces, rotten food, trash, and terrible odors. The trailer had a spike in tire which she said for us to replace and you will reimburse. Which we didn't. She took my credit card and driver license in back for more than 15 minutes and wouldn't let me follow her to see transaction. I literally held myself and was in tears when driving away because of the dirtiness of the place. Not to mention the mess up into reservation in the first place ( which $50 was paid to me for that) but nothing has been done for the troubles at Toponos, Co.
Store owners were very friendly and accomodating to our needs. Rental process was handled efficiently and assistance was provided to fully inspect and install equipment.
This is store was absolutely disgusting. I waited forever for her to get the paper work done. When I got into the truck there was mud and dirt all over which I am sure I got charged for later. To top it all off Uhaul over charged me becuase either the agent I spoke with on the phone or the lady at the store contracted I only had the truck for one day when I specifically told them both two days. I've been around and around with uhaul who keeps saying they are going to reimburse me the $30 they over charged me and still haven't received it a month and a half later. Needless to say I won't be using Uhaul in the future.
This was one of the easiest parts of the move.
We had scheduled to drop off the truck in Avon, CO which was less than 5 minutes from where we had moved to. When we called to get the exact location, they told us we had to go to Toponas, which was almost an hour away, up a mountain and dirt roads with ice and snowpack! So, it took us over 2 hours out of an already crazy moving day, took us over our 125 mile limit, was totally inconvenient and not at all what we had been led to believe when we signed up for the drop off. The Shop is in the middle of nowhere, dirty and a ridiculous alternative to the Avon location. The "next customer" needs to be told upfront that the drop off site they selected is not available.
The toponas staff were very friendly, however whoever in Denver confirmed our order was extremely unhelpful. I had to wait over an hour and a half on hold to get through to customer service who then provided poor customer service. Due to the rental experience I had with this trailer I will be using a different rental company in the future.
I waited three hours for them tyi figure oiut how to hook up the lights for the traller, they never did.sent me home without lights and said they would call and come by the next morning to fix , never did. paid someone else to do it so I could leave. Wheel bearings went out on the trailer wheel, on arrival wheel fell off! Amazing I wasn't killed. Took them three days to come and collect the broken down trailer.
This location was nice. but it was over 50 miles away from where i moved. The Uhaul company orginaly made my contract for a drop off location only 10 miles from me. That location refused to take my truck. I ended up having to keep my truck for an extra day and customer service kept trying to send me to the same location that was refusing to accept my truck. This issue cost me a lot of money in gas! and forced me to inconvience my mom who had to road trip it to my new location just to help me take the truck back so i wouldn't be stranded. All in all... poor service Uhaul...
I don't know of anyone else that would need to rent a u-haul in that part of Colorado but the process itself was painless/quick
It was great the way it was. U-Haul's staff seems to be its greatest asset.
Dial up service, so it took well over 45 minutes to get a contract printed out. Then the trailer wasn't attached to my vehicle corretctly by your representative and it bounced off my hitch about 4 miles from your location - very scary to say the least! This was on top of having to drive over 45 miles to get to Toponas when I had reserved in Gypsum, another big inconvenience. You should not allow reservations on equipment you don't have available. Calling me within 24 hours of picking up the trailer leaves little time to react. You should have delivered the trailer to Gypsum for me, not make me drive out of my way to pick it up.
The trailer was rusty and beat up but it had good tires.
