The business representative did not walk us out to the vehicle to check for damages, mileage or fuel level. The representative had us sign paperwork handed us the keys and did not even get up from hai desk. Once we drove off we noticed that the truck only had a 1/4 tank of gas. We had to get gas in order to make to our destination of Lancaster, Ca. From Torrance, Ca. *Before picking up from the Torrance location at 11:30am we had a scheduled pick up in the city of Gardena with Rotimi Servicrs at 10am but no one was at the contracted business location for us to retrieve the truck. We waited at the location for over an hour while trying to get a UHaul rep on the phone to rectify the situation.

After I returned the van within 1.5 hrs of rental I was told by agent to leave the key with her since she was working with another client. Last evening I get a call and a text to call Uhaul about my rental. Turns out she did not check it out timely. I do not know why I was getting these messages and I certainly did not appreciate the calls or texts.

When I returned the vehicle,it was assumed that I was with another customer. I was not asked if I needed help. The agent did apologize for not asking. I had to initiate the service after waiting almost ten minutes. Thank you.

The truck could be clean and I understand the system was down but it took way too long. Also I was not happy that my confirmation email did not tell me this location was where I should pick up my truck. Instead of my preferred location. Also they forgot to give me my mattress bag but I was still charged for it.

If a customer is going to be charged for extra gas, perhaps they could offer to rent the truck an extra day. II knew they would be closing so I put $20 in the gas tank before returning the truck. To my surprise it cost $60 extra to refill the tank on a $19.99 per day truck.

Not only did U-Haul tell me I had a 9:30 am pick up, they registered as 9:30 pm. Then the extremely rude man that runs things didn't show up until 10:00 am. Why? Because that is their store hours. U-haul needs to get their act together. When I called U-haul to ask what is going on, she put me on hold, called the store front and never got back to me. Terrible. The truck was dirty inside. When you roll down the window the knob would come off. The inside did not look sweep. I will never use U-haul again and recommend the same to others. Pay a little more some place else for hopefully a better experience.

The only thing that I was no happy about is that I was not told that I was being charged $14 for the insurance. I didn't find out until the end when I had already paid and saw the charge. I currently have full coverage on my own vehicle and that was never asked to me at the beginning. I'm sure if you ask them they would lie and say "whatever, we told him". There is no proof, so I paid it and learned my lesson to bring my own insurance next time. I will renting uhauls often in the future to transport furniture. Thank You

Do not rent here!!! Worst business I have encountered in a long time. Not an actual Uhaul but some sort of subcontractor- an odd dirty little store where they make keys and collect vehicle reg. fees. I made a reservation with Uhaul by phone and came to this location to pick up. When I arrived at 10:00 the store was dark. Ten minutes later, they show up to unlock the store without a word of acknowledgment or apology. The owner mumbled a total of about three words during a painfully slow 20 minute paperwork process. I drove the truck for total of 17 miles before bringing it back three hours later having refueled right beforehand. Once again, the store was dark with a sign promising that they would return soon. 30 minutes after the time quoted on the door, the owner showed. The owner then claimed that the truck was 3 gallons short of full and charged me an additional $18. I offered to show him a receipt for the 2 1/2 gallons the truck took before the pump shut off at full. I pointed out that in 17 miles it would be hard to imagine the small truck would use 6 gallons (very light load). He did not want to see The owner is extremely rude, unprofessional and shortsighted. Uhaul is normally great. They should pull service from this two-bit location. I called customer service to let them know and they were very helpful on the phone. Hope they take action.

I initially reserved the Dolly by phone. On site, I decided that I did not need it. My original receipt still said that the dolly was included. I had the manager of the location write on my receipt that I did NOT take the dolly, However, I was still CHARGED for 3 days of the dolly. The person who did the paperwork was new and it took her 1 hour to complete everything since she had to keep making phone calls to the owner about how to do things. The original reservation said 11:30, but it was after 1 pm when I actually got out of there. My emailed receipt says I was charged for the dolly!! I would like $21 returned to my card please. The reservation process was very simple, but as a first time customer, it was confusing that I would be renting a Uhaul product from a site that was not Uhaul. Seemed to be a lot of vague answers from customer service reps, rather than specific and direct responses that would ensure me as the customer that all is as it should be. Eventually when I got to the facility and rented the product, everything was great.

After hour drop box is just a mail drop through the front door. The keys and contract can easily be fished out with a hanger or other means. I was very worried that the contract or my keys would be stolen in the evening or the weekend. Please advise for a secure drop box. Thank you
