Improve your communication with rental sites!! My overall experience with U-Haul was absolutely horrible!! I WILL NEVER USE YOUR COMPANY AGAIN AND NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND YOUR COMPANY TO ANYONE!! I WILL HOWEVER, POST MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR COMPANY ON FB, SO EVERYONE CAN READ IT AS WELL BY WORD OF MOUTH!!!! ON TOP OF THAT YOUR STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME AND HAVE NEVER RESOLVED THE MATTER SO YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. SUCKS AS WELL!!!

The location itself was fine. The attendant was also fine. The overall experience was HORRIBLE!! First, I never received a confirmation call. Secondly, the 20 foot truck that they reserved for me has been broke down at that location for approximately 3 months. I then had to call customer service, be on hold 22 minutes to find another truck. They eventually gave me same location, bigger truck, same price. I go back to location to pick up truck. It was completely empty. I got the truck around 11 but my actual pickup time was 9. I get home where my movers have been waiting for 2 hours and open the back of the truck and there is old furniture still in the truck and it is dirty. So before I could get my items loaded onto the truck, it had to be cleaned. I do have pictures. The move was a pure nightmare. I will never use or recommend u haul again. I deserve some type of refund or compensation. I paid movers for 2.5 hours while waiting to obtain a truck. Also, A bigger truck cost me more fuel..

The online experience promised what in reality it cannot deliver. Pick up was a S*&^%Show. Dolly and blankets were on a truck assigned to us and the key to the truck wasn't there. The attendant, Tim, was great as he tried to work out the issues with reassigning us to a truck that had a key, while balancing gas customers, lottery tickets, and rude customers. When U-Haul redirected where I was to p/u the truck (different from original request) I was told it was only 12.5 miles from original requested location. Well that may be the way the crow flies across the Lake but it was 25 miles one way to p/u the truck, so any "extra" mileage given was eaten up immediately on P/U and we went 3 miles over our limit. While I wasn't charged for that upon return, it was inaccurate information that I was given. Our family rented 3 UHauls this weekend, and both online reservations were a mess and took 45 minutes to p/u the unit. Equipment was fine. Online reservations - not so much. Also, when I needed to edit to add an additional driver, I couldn't make that happen. Upgrades to the online experience are definitely in order, because what happens online is not what happens during pick/up.

Not require a deposit. I've used U Haul several times and never been asked for a deposit until yesterday. I also don't understand why it cost more to leave a trailer in another location. Would have made my trip easier to leave it after use, than to bring it back to the location leased from.

Never got a receipt. Is a gas station and was only interested in getting keys as he was alone in store.

Despite the misunderstanding with the drop off location that about sent my world into a tail spin as I had requested a one way trip and could not return the trailer to the rented from location. Calling the customer service number did nothing but frustrated both my husband and myself with no results. Once we called back to Townville Shell they immediately fixed the problem and made sure that the paperwork was corrected with the store we dropped it off at as well as the corporate office. Townville Shell employee Tim even called me back to reassure that we had gotten everything taken care of and didn't need anything else, awesome customer service!

After renting a 6' × 12' trailer, the man had NO CLUE how to hook it up. I had to use Google on my phone, watch a video, pull the trailer out of the grass, and hook it up by myself. VERY NERVE RACKING !!!!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!

You all reserved a truck for me at Whitehall and spearman Dairy, then had me to pick up a truck 20 miles outside of where scheduled while charging me by the mile, that's 40 miles just to pick up and return, that's unfair and unjust,I see it as a form of thievery..You stole from me by having me drive 20 miles one way to pick up a truck, and 20 mikes back to return it when I was scheduled to pick up less than 3 miles from my location.. you should be a shame,!!! Karma will get ya!!! Just. Wait on,, thank you!!

The pickup location was not the problem it was whoever insures that the trucks are there when you say they will be. The store employee did all he could do to fix the problem but customer service through Uhaul was of no help at all.
