Email confirmation stated my start time as 7am, but an automatic text from Uhaul listed the start time as 8am. The website said there would be no one to meet me at the truck and that I would have to use my phone and a passport and a family member's number to verify. Instead, the text asked the night before to call and confirm my pickup. The phone number listed was for a different service station. They gave me the new number. Then that person told me to call back in 10 min. Once connecting on the phone, I asked if I would need my passport and they said no. A Uhaul agent met me at the truck. When completing my checkout, the website took more than 10 minutes to verify my likeness and call my family member. The agent in person instead completed the verification for me. The process took more than 20 minutes, even though the website the night before indicated I had done everything ahead of time to have a quick checkout. A rainstorm occurred during my rental and the driver's side front cargo light leaked rain, causing the floor and some of my contents to get wet.

It took me 1.5 hours to get the truck and leave. First the person I needed to see was in the restroom for 15 minutes. Then I get handed someone on the phone who was rude and at another "sister" location to process me. Next when I finally get the truck the AC is broken, I'm driving from Arizona to Tennessee AC is absolutely needed. Now there is lock on the back of the new truck that they couldn't get off for 20 mins. The windshield was full of dead bugs. Oh and when they explained and offered me a dolly when I picked, they said they didn't have that one available. Why offer if you don't have it? The worst experience ever!

My experience with U-Haul. First I was bounced to several pickup locations. My online order said ok you are set for location A. You will get a conformation text. The text said you are set for location B. I get a text from location B with a conformation phone number. Location B said we do not have any trucks. Call this location. Calling location C said sorry you must call location D to get a truck. Location D said yes I can get you a truck for location C what kind of truck do you need ? So I give my needs along with my credit card number, which I have already input online. I get a new conformation number, and told I can get the truck at 9:30 the next day, 5/28/19. I get to location D at 9:00 am 5/28/19. Location D upon my telling them I am here to get a truck calls location C and hands me the phone to finish the transaction. The individual at location D is pleasant and agrees to complete the necessary paperwork early, and I am on my way. Arriving at the drop-off location, the person was pleasant and helpful. So all in all my moving experience withU-haul was successful, it was exasperating at the start. You system being unaware of the location of your equipment was to say the least was unhelpful. During my discussions with the people at on of the sights I inquired as to why they could not move trucks, the answer was that they had no one to do that. U-Haul has what appears to have a plethora of locations, most appear to be dummies.

Was bumped to this location from my original location. After speaking with the Uhaul rep from the gas station phone, he said my 26' foot had been broken into the night before and the battery was stolen. I explained I didn't reserve a 26' foot I reserved a 20' truck. He was confused and finally asked me to check which trucks were on the lot. The 20' truck that was there didn't have the furniture pads I had requested. Overall, it took about 20 min to get all of this settled. Quarter tank of gas also annoying considering it's parked at a gas station.

Bella, the uhaul “manager” NEVER showed up. They told us to wait 20 mins, then another 20. Finally the cashier gave us the key and I spoke to this sorry excuse of a manager and asked her why she wasn’t at the location, she had no answer. Completely unprofessional. They didn’t even have the dolly we paid for. It was a MESS.

Have the reserved equipment available. When a customer arrives at their scheduled arrival time, don’t have them placed on the phone with another location for over 30 min, just to be told “your reservation is already in use” and them have them spend another 20 min trying to get set-up as a “walk-in”.

I received a 26' Uhaul truck with a damaged ceiling to trailer compartment. Did not receive an inventory showing truck condition prior to me picking up rental. I assumed Uhaul had PRE EXISTING DAMAGE ON FILE and would know the condition of their vehicle prior to renting truck again after damage has occurred!!!

Do a thorough circle check, making sure both the customer and staff person are aware of any damage, general condition of vehicle, brake lights, signals, etc. Ensure ramp is locked in. . .I drove off with the ramp coming out, unknown to me. . . Also go over the fuel gauge and mileage with customer, don't just rely on what is printed on the rental form.

When I first got there the rep told me he did not have record of my reservation. I had to show him on my phone the confirmation email and even then he said he couldn't find it. Then he said he found it. He gave me the keys and said "you know where the truck is right?" and I had seen only one truck in the yard. So I took the keys, put them in the door and ignition and off I went with what I thought was my 14 foot truck. An hour later, the rep from this location calls me and says I took the wrong truck and that I took a 17 instead of a 14 and to bring it back. UNACCEPTABLE! My truck was already half full and he wants me to bring it back and he has the nerve to tell me to make sure its full on gas. He said if I didn't bring it back right away that I would have to pay an extra day and he would charge me. Horrible experience. I ended up calling the 1-800 number and they told me to keep the truck no problem but what a hassle. I mean come the hell on. I had to go back the same night to give the keys I had back and pick up another set of keys from the location. Never again from this place.

Place was empty, in other words I was the only customer in the location at the time yet the attendant made me wait even checking and responding to personal texts while I stood waiting. Also never made a proper inspection of the truck, when the back was opened it was full of dirt and blankets were all over the place. I was a little disappointed as I have used Uhauls several times in the past.
