I scheduled the truck rental approximately a week or so ahead of my move date. However, the truck pick-up could not be confirmed until 2 days before the move and then it was changed from my original preferred pickup location. This concerned me so I looked up the new location (Dray's) on their website. It stated the hours of operation as opening at noon, when I specified in my online reservation that I needed to pick up the truck no later than 8:30 a.m. I called U-Haul Customer Service, lady was very helpful and called the company to confirm that someone would be at this location to sign the truck out for me on my requested pick up dated and time. However, upon arrival at Dray's on Sunday, January 28th (a few minutes after 8 a.m.) I found the gate at the lot to be unlocked and keys in the U-Haul truck, but nobody on site. When I called U-Haul Customer Service for assistance I relayed this information to the representative on the phone, the gentleman place me on a brief hold they came back to say the person responsible for the lot was signed in as working and seemed to be at a loss for how to assist me. My phone call was placed on hold and transferred to other customer service representatives 3 or 4 times, thereby making me have to re-tell each person my situation with no resolution. The owner or worker at this location finally showed up about 8:45 a.m. and I had to complete the sign-out in the rain sitting in his car. VERY FRUSTRATING and not a good start for my first time using this service! The point of having online registration is to streamline the process for customers. However, there were too many last minute changes and uncertainties, especially when I had movers scheduled to begin loading at 9 a.m.

The guy was not at the physical location. on the call, clearly he was working another store because i could hear him with other customers. I didn't need his assistance to load trailer, but i did order a dolley. There were two visible in his trailer, but on the phone he said that he didn't have any, and he would delete it from the transaction and i could go to another store and get one. I didn't argue, just went along with it. Also, had a UHAUL certificate that i tried to apply to the cost. Dray said he was not set up to make that transaction and suggested i try to get a rebate from a main store.

I love the fact I didn’t have to stand in line and wait to fill out forms or my information to be entered into the computer by a representative taking time out of my moving day. It was quick and went very smoothly. If you’re a person who requires attention this is NOT for you. But if you’re on a schedule and don’t want to add an hour of paperwork, moving the truck out, and explaining your day away THIS IS THE WAY TO GO. I was very pleased. Dray answered the phone every time I called and I did call several times. He was business like and for what may have seemed a trivial question to some, he entertained with the utmost of importance.

No onsite person (this person was at his other job) to go over details of the trailer, verify what any damage was to the trailer to document. After dropping off trailer in Brandon the employee informed me that this trailer was supposed to be hooked up by uhaul employee to which there was not one and I had to shorten the safety chains myself. So after hooking the trailer and shortening the chains good thing there was no mishap or I would seek legal action!!!!

No one was at the location at pick up time. Had to call and was told key is under seat. No representatives, paperwork was just emailed. Being you are moving no access to printer to print out paperwork.
