Was told there was a dolly in the truck like I requested, but when I got home to begin loading, no dolly, so I had to make a special trip to one of the other u-haul places to pick one up. Forty five minutes wasted.

Make sure that trucks are available as ordered. Not you must drive 150 miles to pick up truck. This happened to me.

We have never had a bad experience with uhaul until this transaction. I reserved a 20 ft truck and a auto transport. The transport was an hour away, I had to ask to have it worked out so I could return it closer to my house. The 20 ft truck was a piece of junk with the rear end going out. Every time we backed up it sounded terrible. The people who worked at the store said they had no idea what was wrong with it. The lights wouldn't shut off. We reserved through the main number they said we could extend it past 24 hours, when we picked up they argued with my husband and were very rude. They said the dispatch doesn't communicate with the store and there was no way to keep it longer. I called dispatch again they checked and aid we could keep it for another 6 hours but we would have to pay another day rate. We drove an extra hour to get the auto transport, had to return the 20 ft truck the day of moving at 9am. It was just a mess and uhaul did not do anything to help make it easier. I have three different charges on my credit card , and only one receipt. I will be calling again on Monday if it is not fixed correctly. I should have gotten some sort of help or accommodation for all of the headache this caused.

I thought we had left a box of jewlery in the back of the truck only to find out later it was in a different car. I called and the operator who answered, after hours, was very effecient in getting all the information and forwarded it on. I realized the mistake but was very impressed with how this was handled. I was charged for dolly use and didn't use it and I also was charged for some kind of insurance and did not request that I had to call and do a claim because it was suppose to be 40$ and my final bill came out to over 80$ !! Becateful ordering online and look at your final bill !

Trailer rental. There was some broken glass, wood screws, and other small items that had not been removed from the bottom of the trailer. Not a big deal, but could have been easily and quickly cleaned with a broom before I rented it. I've rented from this location several times before and will continue to do so. Great staff and excellent customer service.

I checked in at the counter to return a van. The lady said wait outside somebody will check the van. 15 minutes later the representative walk right by me to check the van without even acknowledging me. Takes 10 minutes to check the van then says his little computer doesn't work to go inside. I wait inside another 30 minutes as there is a line with only one sales rep. It took 45 minutes to return the van. Absolutely terrible customer service.

My comments are not aimed at the Yakima location where I picked up my Uhaul. They are aimed at the customer service prior to pick up. My original reservation was scheduled to be picked up in Moses Lake WA on Friday at 3:00 p.m. I was called on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and told my reservation was not available. I explained that I had movers coming the next morning and I needed the truck. This was met with no comment or empathy from the customer service rep. When I asked if there was anything she could do so told me there was a truck available in Yakima, WA - 2 Hours away, but that I would have to go get it. I was in a bind, so I did make arrangements to take that truck, but this inconvenience was not needed while trying to move my family.

The worst experience with a company i have ever had. They moved, changed 5+ times, and cancelled my reservation all in 48 hours. I had 2 days to move and I got the trailer 1 1/2 days late. Worst management. No one would call, no one would answer phone. Told me I didnt show up when I was there first thing in the morning. Went to the store 3 times. Management wouldnt even help me, had their employees try and fix something they couldnt do anything about. Not once apologize for the hell they put me through. DO NOT count on having the item you supposedly reserve online. No guarantee whatsoever you will get it. Horrid experience and horrid management. I guess they have the monopoly in this so they can do what they want and treat people like crap. Never again.

I checked the trailer at every stop, and everything was always set up as the associate showed me. Somehow, during a bump or brake, one of the hooks on one of the two chains came out of the ring on the hitch mount, even though the rubber stopper was completely through the ring, and the chain drug along the highway for a few miles. I heard it and it scared the heck out of me. I reattached the hook, without the rubber stopper which was lost during the dragging, and there were no further problems. But those rubber stoppers are not 100% apparently. Maybe some other way to secure the chains would be better.
