This was my first renting experience and the agent I spoke with when I made reservation neglected to tell me that I may not be able to pick up at that location; but wherever the vehicle is available. It was confusing when I preregistered and saw another location for pickup. And, when I went in to pick up vehicle I told agent that I had prepaid and she immediately said that I couldn't prepay, payment was due when picking up. I told her that the amount had already been deducted from my account. Not a good feeling at the time. The manager there said yes she did pay. He was extremely nice and helpful.



Truck needs right rear tire balanced other then that it was great.

When I arrived they had no reservation even with my number. I was lied to about the person inspecting the trailer saying everything worked correctly and the said it was my truck. When I got home I look more closely only to find the wires were worn through. I had to fix this on my own. I made the reservation at one location and the day before they said i had to drive across town because they didn't have the trailer. Very very poor service

Truck was rented to be available at 1:00 for a one way move and that truck was the only one available for my move. Was not told there is a 30 minute window for pickup (Is that your policy?). Changed pickup time to 4:00 pm. Upon arrival to pick up the truck, I found out that they let someone use the truck I had reserved. Really?! Truck was supposed to be available for me for my move with insurance paid by me and some of the fuel was used after being filled for me. Is double billing your trucks OK? Held me up for an hour+. That being the case, it made leaving a little more difficult. That's my experience.

Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. Slow , unprofessional workers (woman had a metal grill in her mouth?) Had numerous people including me confused trying to ask questions politely and getting nothing but rude attitude back. Total lack of communication on billing and didn't seem like they wanted to be there.

When I made the reservation for the truck by phone with another location they gave no indication that the truck might have to be picked up at a different location. Was really surprised when I showed up at the original location and was told the truck was at above location about 15 minutes away. Not a terrible inconvenience but annoying..

My documents showed a full tank and after driving away I noticed it at 3/4 of a tank. I was charged for 130 miles and I think I might have driving 30-40 miles. Next time I will check the gas gauge and mileage before accepting the vehicle.

I was completely unsatisfied with both the customer service and the professionalism of uhaul. My card was charged multiple times. The communication was terrible and I felt completely violated. I do not recommend this. Implant to anyone at all.

I have rented trucks from this store probably 15 times over the last 3 years. The store is being renovated. When I walked in there were several people ahead of me in line. It took me 40 minutes from when I walked in to when I left with the truck. I had reserved pads, but they didn't think they had any. They did find 6 for me. The truck's mileage showed it had already been driven 31 miles compared to the mileage on the contract. They fixed this when I came back in. This is the only U-Haul store I keep coming back to because I have gotten horrible service at many others. Hopefully, this was a one time exception.

We rented the truck with an appliance dolly but we forgot to take the appliance dolly with us. We brought this to the attention of the employee checking the truck back in and he said that he spoke with his supervisor about it and that they would credit the appliance dolly but after receiving the email invoice it was charged. We never took the dolly or used it so it shouldn't have been charged and we were assured that it would be taken off and it wasn't. If it is not reconciled as per what the employee said as it would be this is not the way to handle customers and expect them to return and we won't use UHaul again.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter to formally complain about the experience my father, Eduardo P. Maya, and I had last week with your company, U-Haul. I already called the customer service line and I am following-up on that call by sending this formal complaint. First of all, I must say that I have been a loyal customer of U-Haul for the past 17 years that I have lived in Charlotte, North Carolina. If you look at your records, you will see that I may have rented with your company from 6- 9 times and always in the same location because I live five minutes from there and always in less than 15 min I have had the keys and a truck and ready to go. I have always recommended U-Haul to all my family and friends. However my last week experience was totally different! A person from your company very badly mistreated me, did not provide me with a truck in a timely manner and made me incur in extra expenses because of that. We are requesting a full refund of what we paid to your company. With approximately two weeks in advance, I made a reservation for a moving truck to be ready at 5108 South Boulevard, Charlotte North Carolina location on Saturday, February 4 at 10 am. I was helping my dad to move from Charlotte, North Carolina to Arlington, Virginia. To my surprise, when I arrived to South Boulevard location the truck was not in that location, but in another one. I did not have my personal car because I left it across the street for a service. So, I waited. After waiting twenty minutes the manager of this location called the other location (which he said he has had bad experiences because they do not do their job right) and asked a person named Charles Mesah to bring the truck to this location to me. Charles Mesah finally picked me up after one hour and thirty minutes! Mr. Mesah showed up in a non-U-Hul car, he was very upset and said that I should be thankful that he was picking me up. He said all this while raising his voice and his hands. I am a big guy, but I felt scared. Mr. Mesah made me feel that he was doing me a favor. It was hard to understand him because he barely spoke English. I have never been treated like this in my life. We paid money for a service that should have been professional, timely, courteous and smooth. But, this experience was nothing like that. I felt very uncomfortable and scared to be honest with you. During ALL this time, my father and I were paying four people (movers) at $15 for doing nothing but waiting for the truck to arrive at my father’s house. We spend extra money and time because of U-Haul lack of professionalism and responsibility. Mr. Mesah finally took me to this very sketchy and weird car dealer lot with only 2 U-Haul trucks in the back and damaged cars in the front. The office was a disaster and it took him 40 minutes to get the paperwork ready! He had to call his manager Lafayette Polk. We talked and I asked him for a discount or a refund for ALL the i
