The ladies that work there have not been trained and are not knowledgeable enough to do the job! They should have asked someone who knows about receivers and hitches and towing a trailer when they instruct the customer as to what to purchase for the vehicle to have the correct equipment. We were instructed to purchase a 2” ball STRAIGHT receiver instead of a 2” drop down receiver! They NEVER mentioned the electrical plug for the lights! We talked to Taylor on the phone several times confirming what she told us to purchase and when we received an email about having the vehicle inspected by the business, she told us that the inspection happens AFTER the trailer is hooked up to our vehicle. Needless to say, we didn’t have any of the correct components necessary to pull the trailer!

Mark FThey never closed out the contract, turned around and rented the truck on a one way to Tampa, and then charged me $160 for a truck I returned earlier than anticipated. Brooke with the ear piece needs to learn to watch his mouth over the phone when he’s addressing customers. I will find a different rental truck company for my needs in the future. This experience was abysmal

Benoni WI was renting a one way uhaul from Florida to Texas. The girl told me it was $1200. for 5 days but would be less if I returned it in 2 to 3 days. SO THEREFORE I rushed the trip and returned it in two days. BUT i was charged the WHOLE amount . When I called to ask why they said it was a flat rate no matter how many days. So the original girl in florida LIED to me. That is extremely unprofessional and I will NEVER use UHAUL again. DO BETTER!

RANDY GI was charged for a cleaning fee for the truck and I returned it cleaner than what I received the truck, I made a reservation online for a truck and then was sent over 12 miles away to a different town to pick up a different truck then the one I had reserved originally. Many of the people I had to deal with were rude during the process especially at the drop off location.
Teo WThe young lady checked me out handed me the contract and said you are good to go. The truck was on empty. I got gas and looked at the contract and it said it had a 1/4 of a tank. I called the store and they said they can't do anything call cooperate support which I did. The guy Mike said he made notes and the shop will give me a credit. I returned the truck the next day and they acknowledged that I called right away but they can't do anything I have to call customer support. I am out $25.00
Randy HFirst of all, this place said it was accessible 24/7 but it’s not. I tried returning the U-Haul the first day of my rental right after I unloaded everything, and the entrance was chained up. I tried calling the number multiple times and nobody answered. Next, when I did return the truck the next day I noticed on the receipt that I was being charged for fuel. I specifically made sure there was a quarter tank of fuel left before dropping off, but the person lied and said I had less than a quarter tank. If I had not checked that receipt on my phone then I would’ve had no idea I was being charged $60 extra for fuel. That is shady business, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Matthew HI don't know if anything could be improved. Everyone I dealt with was professional, personable, and had a great sense of humor. The truck was very nice with a lot of great accessories compared to the trucks I've rented in the past. It ran great, handled really well & surprisingly got better gas mileage than I expected.

Kim PThe van had cockroaches and a strong urine-like smell, the office was a huge help though. However, reserving this cargo van was a whole nightmare. It was nothing but inconvenience after inconvenience but those incidents involve the Vero Beach U-Haul pickup at Shields Automotive, I was dealing with someone named Jose, the main source of the inconvenience...if someone wants to call me, I’ll be more than happy to explain everything that transpired. If not, wouldn’t be surprised anyways. Going with Enterprise from now on.

Thomas MEverything was perfect, but I would highly recommend that if you’re renting a van that you go early because it takes much longer than you anticipate to rent one it’s not like renting the other vehicles the paperwork is much more entailed, but the service was extremely helpful at this facility and would highly recommend them to anyone

Ray CThey messed up my order and charged me insurance when I declined it they said they could not refund it. Waited almost 45 minutes to check out a trailer. Then my location I was dropping off was full so I had to bring it back to the original location and that took an hour to check back in because they had to change the order to in town. They did not know how to do it so they waited on the phone to get it fixed. The location had potential but they need training on the process.

Ron TI was extremely inconvenienced and irked when uhaul changed location of my pick up just one hour before!! However, the gentleman at the location I had to go to - Everybody Rides in Sebastian FL - was friendly and helpful, as-well as apologetic for uhaul changing my reservation.

Michael BThere were no furniture pads available, I was charged for the pads. The U-haul website said the location was open on Sunday. It was not. I returned the trailer the evening of the day I picked it up 10/21, but I was charged 2 days rental.
