He kept my 60.00. after he reassured me that I would get my 60.00deposit back and then I would pay the usage charge for the dolly. I would like my money returned. Thankyou he has no right to keep it.

KATHERINE MEUTH ALLDREDGEWhen we returned the cargo van we’d rented, we discovered a mistake on our paperwork that charged us for about 40 more miles then we’d estimated our trip to be. Joe worked long and hard to backtrack to the prior rental and discover the problem. Then he spent more time on the phone with uhaul, and got the refund accomplished before we left. During this whole time he was calm and patient, problem solving and communicative. This is in high contrast to the common deny, delay, minimizing, and customer blaming mode that seems so common these days. Joe’s efforts resulted in us feeling we could rent there again without fear of being taken advantage of. Thank you Joe!

Mary ThomsonI would double check the underside of the gas tank to make sure it wasn't tampered with before handing it out to people. When I was going to put gas in the van to return it the gas started leaking from the bottom of the tank. I waisted probably two gallons in the process before I noticed that it was leaking. I had to sit at the gas station for two hours waiting for somebody to fix the problem. The guy that came to fix it said that this is a common problem at this location that they get called to fix often. Giant waiste of my time and money

Hull CookOil light was on, indicating overdue service and low oil, and at one point the van didn’t start so I let it sit for 15 minutes. It added stress to the move, because we were trying to move a bunch of stuff and get the van turned in on time. I didn’t know of an efficient way to contact UHaul for service, and I had parked in my neighbor’s driveway for a few minutes, to organize stuff in my own driveway. Thankfully it did start after that. Also the windshield was so dirty it was hard to see out of because it was a sunny day. The front desk person was friendly when I picked to the van though.

Michael LavesonUsing the website, I ordered blankets, but when I arrived, I learned that this location did not have any. When I picked up the truck, I was told that the truck's fuel tank was a little below 3/4, and that I should return the truck with same fuel level. It is not easy to fill up a tank to any level other than full. I appreciate that this is a corporate policy; the corporation should learn something from the rental car industry. Also, the person behind the counter at this location who served me was not friendly. If there is a next time, I will choose the official U-Haul location in Bellingham, where I have received good service.
Thomas HarrisPROS: Discovery Park storage is a nice facility overall. The clerk who checked me out was friendly. I had never used self checkin with the app and made sure to come in an hour before check-in and during office hours *just in case* and I'm very glad I did. CONS: Once I arrived, the clerk told me that for some reason this is a dead spot for Verizon users (which I am). I would have been up a creek if I came to do self checkout and no one was on staff. I was also told that the furniture pads I had pre-ordered were not available. Turns out the facility had to use them because of an unexpected leak during the snowstorm. Totally understandable and luckily I could make do. But if I was banking on having these supplies and told at pickup they were no longer available, this would have really put a damper on a move. And how would this have been handled with automatic checkin if the clerk wasn't available to tell me this? The van was left pretty dirty- leaves and some traces of dog poop. I am not sure it anyone comes in afterwards to clean after each use. I made sure to do a sweep and leave it clean for the next renter. Overall, if there's a checklist put in place to make sure vans are cleaned, and communication is about wifi dead spots or lack of ordered supplies etc, to make other arrangements beforehand, then automated checkin would be great. If not, it could end up in disaster if you're relying on having supplies or are on a tight moving schedule.

Kelly BachmanIt would improve a lot for customers if you would have an IT guy available to keep your computer systems up to date and actually running instead of having your employees use their cell phones to operate your business. The employee was polite and patient with me and it looked like a real big inconvenience since there's a computer in front of them he just can't use it because it's not working properly so he's forced to use his personal phone. I will inform my friends and family and acquaintances acquaintances to call ahead and verify that they have working computer systems to expediate the process of renting a vehicle from U-Haul
