Something went wrong with the brakes and i rear ended a car.
Ronald GI had an incident where my U-Haul was stolen the man Mr.Reed didn’t help any he was rude and constantly kept blaming me for the U-Haul being stolen I was compliant I kept him updated and he threatened me with the authorities multiple times over the stolen truck he was rude disrespectful and had no regards in helping ANYONE who is going through the worst case I do not recommend this store because those people are no help ESPECIALLY MR.REED I do thank the customer service at 1800 UHaul they calmed me down made me feel like it wasn’t my fault and helped me find and return the truck that was stolen overall the customer service and 1800 U-Haul is perfect as far as the truck pickup location you need to choose a better manager willing to help customers not ASSUME the worse

Mark MThe van wasn’t on a full tank of gas like they said it was . It was in 3/4 tank. I mentioned to the manager when I brought the van back and he said it was too late I had already signed the contract. So per the contract I did bring it back full of gas . It would have been better to have shown the van and and check the gas before I signed on a false pretense.
Gary WMy U-Haul came with no hand truck & no lock on the back door. It defeated the whole purpose of me renting the truck because it didn’t come with what I needed. Also I thought the truck was going to breakdown it ran so bad.

PAULINA BThey overcharged me . They sent me a receipt for one thing but still charged my card for more than what they said . The receipt shows that they are supposed to refund me a portion but they posted it for the actual amount they charged at the beginning . I called my bank and confirmed and they said that I need to call U-Haul because they don’t have a credit going back to me they show only the charge . The receipt says one thing but my charge with my bank is overcharging me

LARRY DI was wrongly charged a "wrong return location" fee, because the staff here did not provide a location for returning the trailer on a one way. I'd love to see that money back, but I highly doubt I will.

Jasmine WConduct routine maintenance on the equipment. The truck I used has a loud noise from the attached compartment once I got up to around 50 mph. It was so loud that hearing protection should have been used.

Mara JThis was the best uhaul experience I have had in my several recent rentals. This dealer was great. Your app is horrible. It is too cumbersome complicated and won't boot reliably. The app us costing you rentals. I spent 2 hrs on phone with your people trying to make it work.

Note: I first stopped at another pickup place (Sound Worx) but they didn't have the trailer I needed. They went above and beyond expectations to find what I needed and even reserved it for me. The whole experience was great!

earl mOverall, the truck was good and clean. My only complaint is that I made the reservation in the app, and when I altered my original contract to start and end at a different time period, and it didn't reflect in the system at the location. Luckily, there were no other reservations on the truck I was using that day and it was able to be extended, but this could pose an issue for a future customer if there are multiple reservations.

Carol WWould love if these enclosed trailers had side doors and would love to see roll down jacks. Lifting these manually on and off the hitch has potential for hurt backs or other injuries 😞.
MARY RAlthough I dropped off on Sunday when they were officially closed, there was an employee taking U-haul inventory and he helped me disconnect the trailer. The employee was professional and friendly. He said he would handle checking in the trailer, but since I had the U-haul app, I attempted to use it as well to confirm the drop off. Although outside of U-haul's control, the app lost internet several times due to weak cellular connection. I eventually saw that my drop off was marked complete in the app. The Ace Hardware in Ladson had plenty of U-haul inventory and I will keep that in mind next time I need a U-haul rental or if I'm asked for a local recommendation.
Steven CThe various Uhaul locations in my area that I've tried have all been great. The problem I have with Uhaul is how you do reservations at the corporate level. Allowing customers to return their truck whenever they feel like it only alienates the next customer. I need to be able to count on Uhaul having the truck size I need at the location that the reservation is originally confirmed. You all moved my pick-up location (3 times) further and further away from me which negatively impacts my schedule. In fact I had to extend my drop off time because you moved me far enough away that I was unable to make the original drop off time. Then you charged me for an extra day which is totally unfair. Please consider ways to improve this problem (penalty fee for late return) or something similar. Thank you.

Scott MWhen I picked up the van they told me the tank is full, and to return it full as well. When I got in I noticed the fuel gauge was right at the full mark so I assumed that was the truth. When I stopped to fill the van up before returning, the pump just kept going and I knew there was no possible way I had used that much gas so I stopped it myself and started the van to check. Sure enough the tank now showed ABOVE the full mark (actual full). When I returned and brought it to their attention, I told them that was deceiving because they had NOT actually gave me a truck with a full tank, although that’s what they had told me. I told them that was unfair to me as a customer and I asked if they would reimburse me for the additional fuel I should not have had to pay for. They refused to and even went on to say “what are we talking about a few gallons here?”. But for me it’s the principal that matters, not that it was only a few gallons, but that they deceived me as the customer and refused to make it right. The van itself was good, but due to the staff and their lack on doing the right thing, I will not return here again.
Stephen TThe drop off point is an Ace Hardware I have used occasionally in the past. Good folks. It was not the most convenient for me in the area and they did not "need" this trailer there. They had plenty. I called the number on my contract to find where to return the vehicle, and that is where they sent me. The customer service agent was disengaged from the process giving me serious doubts. Otherwise the pick up process and the trailer worked fine.
