They charged me $78 extra after drop off. I had to call to find out why because they said nothing about it at drop off they checked the truck after we left instead of before we left and said it was a fuel charge even though we had pictures of where it was when we picked it up

Craig RIt seemed I was putting her out. She just pointed to an area and said your trailer is back there. I had to go back inside and ask if anyone could help me get the trailer on the truck. The response I got was, "oh there is a jack right there, sorry I forgot." I reserved a dolly, I was told they don't have any because no one brings them any. I politely commanded that would have been good to know. I could have brought my own. It made it hard considering I just drove 18 hours there.

garret hThe only comment would be the online process needs improvement. It seems like you should be able to clearly determine if a locations has the equipment you need. The site just stated it may not be there and a rep will call. At that point I just called the location directly as I was also not impressed with the chat box online. Said 2 min wait. I waited five minutes stepped away from my phone and it closed out the chat automatically with no engagement. I then called the number and individual was polite and nice but just was able to give me another number to call. That is the point I then called store directly then went back to site to complete the order. If online ordering available I would encourage you to revisit the process and allow it to be completely online not leaving customer with an unknown and a rep calling the day before to help finalize the order. I schedule more than a day in advance. Thanks for allowing input and would be happy to clarify further if you would like follow up or hear how I was not using the online service correctly to know for next rental. Phil

Kelly WI have always had a good experience with uhaul until this time. The mirrors on the uhaul were duct taped on and cracked, the AC did not work and it was 90 degrees outside, we couldn’t go over 55/60 miles per hour due to it shaking and unable to hold it on the road, the fumes coming back inside made it very hard to breath, part of the windshield wiper flew off, the drivers door wouldn’t shut completely , there were bugs in the uhaul, and there was concrete poured on the step get into the uhaul. Upon arrival at our destination the RPM was running at 500. The trip should have been 3 hours but due to all the issues it was 4 hours. It was the most miserable experience. Driving in 90/80 degree weather for 4 hours was absolutely a nightmare. The fumes were choking us to death. Holding it on the road with no ability to use the mirrors, was very dangerous. It was not raining, but had it been, the windshield wiper had literally broken when trying to clean the windshield. This 20 foot truck MUST be taken off the road. It is VERY dangerous and someone is going to get hurt or killed driving it. As I said before I have ALWAYS had a good experience with uhaul but this is totally not acceptable. I am really unhappy with this company.

Roy CWe were extremely upset with the ENTIRE process of renting a uhaul. We will definitely never be giving u haul our business ever again and I will make sure to pass my experience along to people I know. A co worker today said she was thinking of renting a uhaul next week for a big move and I told her absolutely don’t unless you want to be out hundreds and a headache. I can go on and on about the pick up/ drop off complications we endured due to the company. As well as 238$ in fees that weren’t told to us up front. Money that was a “deposit” and a “bank hold” yet I haven’t received any of that money back. My family and friends will never rent another u haul again.
maleah fThe trucks need to be checked better. The tires were bald and I had to fight it to keep it on the road. It started popping and cracking after driving it for awhile so I quit driving it and dropped it off and had to rent from a different rental company. This was due to the truck being poorly maintained. I did not feel safe driving it at all.
