It's astonishing that these people are authorized to work as uhaul dealers! The place was closed due to fire incident which I get it, but they are still responsible for the services they are providing and customers who are paying! After 10 times calling uhaul customer service and contacting their business line, they finally responded with an impolite and unprofessional manner and I had to deal with everything with uhaul app which was broken! I have been charged extra for this service and haven't received my money yet! They also didn't equip the truck with things I requested. Truck was dirty too.

I recommend you update the app, because it took me 45 minutes to get the car and delivery. And even though I filled the car with gas, I still lost money. In general, not only my friends, but I do not recommend anyone to use Uhaul.

Location was closed because of a fire. Because of this, I was unable to get my additional materials (utility dolly). This is fine, shit happens. What isn't okay is the hour I spent being bounced around different customer service agents trying to find someone who could help me. It would be great if the self-checkin process had a box asking to confirm if I already have the extra stuff on the rental. Most of these small places never handle that, and it makes it extra frustrating.

Very nice guy running the halal meat store, but they require a phone for pickup of trucks. This is not a real u haul location, so be sure to bring a smart phone with data as you will need it to rent the truck here. This is not disclosed during the checkout process for this location. Even if you select no to express pickup with phone, they make you do the checkout with a smartphone, as the guy has no uhaul terminal. Was a big hassle, but the guy helped me lots. Probably was not his fault. Process needs fixing. Owner was excellent, but the experience itself was below average from what i expect from uhaul.

They tried to charge me hidden fees. I refused all of their fees and they still tried to charge me a collision damage waiver and a hidden fee called a passenger vehicle tax. I returned the vehicle within 4 hours and they put that I had it overnight. I had to call customer service twice to get this corrected. Good thing I took pictures and videos of everything, as I had to send them to customer service as proof. I had a bad feeling from the start as when you get there you have to call some guy to arrange everything. I even asked the guy for the number again so I could send them the pictures and videos, but he said oh don't worry we will do our job! I will never use uhaul again! Do not use this location as they will attempt to rip you off!

When I went to fill the gas, I put $15 in and turned it on and waited for gas gauge to go up. Didn't look like enough. I put 12 more in and checked again. Still didn't look like enough! I put $15 in again and it magically bounced up to 1/8 of a tank too much. It was very annoying. Definitely overpaid.

Horrible smell of rotting meat from the truck. Likely the truck is used for transporting meat because it’s owned by a meat shop. The smell didn’t go away even when the door was open for an hour

For some reason, the on-site U-haul rep had the day off on the day we had reserved our uhaul van for moving. We got to the location at 3:30 (when our reservation started) and had to leave at 5:00 to be somewhere else and then it wasn’t until 6:45 that we came back and the shop owner finally got a hold of his employee who had the day off and was supposed to help us. The store owner had our key the entire time and was saying that we needed to complete our check in to tell him what the key fob number was. We went as far as we could in the online check in and there was so further button shown to give us our key number. We reserved this U-Haul 4 days before we were planning on picking it up and there was absolutely nothing said about the service not being available because the employee we wasn’t there to help us. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and left us with not nearly as much time as we needed to be able to move into our new place as we had planned on the Saturday. The owner of the shop was trying to help us and we appreciated that but it felt like we were completely in the dark and he couldn’t do anything to solve our issue.

We booked a U-Haul for a different location that turned out to not exist and U-Haul couldn’t even get ahold of them. So the Uhaul person rebooked and then said we would get a discount for the huge inconvenience but they didn’t. I’ll be calling.

We rented the truck at 11:30 am but arrived earlier at 11:10 am to check in since we had a paper license that couldn't be uploaded online. However, when we arrived, the shop owner asked us to wait and called someone. We patiently waited for 10 minutes, but unfortunately, the person never called back. By the time we finished checking in, it was already 11:45 am. And the shop owner seemed frustrated as we urged him to provide us with the car key. Moreover, the person on the phone informed us that we had to return the truck by 3:30 pm, which less than 4 hours after we checked in. Disappointingly, the shop owner only handed us the key without providing any instructions on how to use the truck. We ended up spending a considerable amount of time figuring things out ourselves during the check-in process. Upon returning the truck, we were surprised to discover that there were several pieces of information we were required to fill in within the 4 hours using time. It took us some time to navigate the app and understand how to return the truck properly. Furthermore, after we filled in the necessary information, it suddenly disappeared from the app. To our dismay, we were then charged an additional rental fee. Overall, our experience with renting the truck was marred by several issues. The lack of assistance and instructions provided by the shop owner, coupled with difficulties encountered during the return process, made it a frustrating experience. It would have been helpful if the rental process was smoother and the app more user-friendly.

Everything went well until I got invoice and was charged 11.98 fuel surcharge. I refilled the gas tank to 3/4 full just prior to returning the van even above the level it was at when I picked up . Disappointing .

-door was extremely hard to close. we had to slam them to get them to close. the back side door barely closed even when slammed - the instructions for pick up were not well stated. i was told online i could bring in the drivers license and once i got there i was told i had to upload a photo. -phone person took about 5 minutes to confirm my phone number. this resulted in a later pickup -the person we met with at the pick up location did not come to the cash for awhile even after we called out to him. although i arrived 10 min early i left 20 min after my initial pick up time. -pick up was a lot more complicated than needed to be in my opinion. i would not recommend to anyone for this reason.

it took 30 minutes to rent the van. I was disappointed in the process of doing it online and then being asked for PASSPORT on top of the driver's license???? That is far too much information to give just to get a van. the keys were also not where they were supposed to be. I don't think the owner knew where things should be either. Should have been a quick process but took 30 minutes. Not sure what would have happened if we hadn't gone during store hours.

My verbal communication led me to believe I was paying $119 plus mileage. I made a mistake when filling out the contract. I didn't receive a sorry or any compensation. I was told to return the vehicle at the location I picked it up at. Which I did. I was charged for a one way and I was charged for picking it up and dropping it off. I was also told I could drop it off after hours but they failed to tell me I would get charged another day. All in all poor communication by the location. I will not be renting from U-Haul again.

We were promised 9:30am as pickup. When I arrived for pickup, the location was closed. I called customer service and was told there was a mistake and the keys would not be available until 11am. This was completely unacceptable and unfair. I had to wait for 1.5 hours in the cold and rain. This was not nit mistake and I had to call customer service to find out what was happening. I will be filing a complaint about my experience. I am beyond unsatisfied, annoyed and unhappy.

Friendly folks at the Halal Meat location. Just keep in mind that the owner of the store doesn't run the U-Haul side of the business. His brother apparently does, so you will need to to use your phone to call him. Over the phone his brother will go over any details. Process didn't take long. Friendly folks.

When you arrive at the place the person who attends (very rudely) only tells you a number to which you have to dial, it is a store which does not give you a paper or go out to check the car and they only tell you "the car is outside" When you deliver the car to close, they only ask you for the key but they do not give you any document that says how much you paid or go out to check the car with you and they want to make non-existent charges. I felt very rudely treated and without respect with gender discrimination.

First off, I was very happy to be able to rent a van on short notice and pick it up on a Sunday when most rental places are closed. For convenience I rate them very highly. The van I rented was in great shape and drove well. Appreciated the back up camera in the rear view mirror. The pick up location is a small grocery/convenience store. This is fine, but they were not well organized or able to communicate clearly. When I showed up I asked if I could pick the keys for the van and the seemed very confused. He gaffe me a phone number to call. Very strange. I called the number. Some guy answered but couldn’t talk and said he would call me back. I stood around the store for 10 minutes like an idiot. Finally get a phone call. Very hard to hear or understand the guy. He asks some basic questions that I already answered in the online reservation system. Sends a couple text links for me to confirm agreement. After a few minutes he tells the guy at the store to give me the keys. All good but very weird. Again I am thankful for the convenience and being able to rent on a Sunday, but a bit weirded out by the experience. Other than that rental was fine.

The person we were supposed to pick up from did not show up and I had to call Uhaul customer service. We had to wait over an hour to finally pick up our equipment and had to communicate with the worker via text as they were not on-site which made everything more difficult. We would have appreciated more communication regarding the situation prior to and would not choose this location again.

The guy that works there (Halal meat) signed into my account and make changes without letting me know. Also he had a hooligan rude manner. He also took a picture of my Diver License which I felt very uncomfortable - Uhaul had all this information as I have rented many times. He's Very rude, demanding and poor customer service.

The furniture dolly we booked is not available when we picked up the van. The owner of the store said he will refund us but I got the bill with the furniture dolly charged. Will have to call customer support later to sort this out.

When I arrive at the UHaul location, I was denied of any help from the UHaul location. The representative just told me that I had to check in myself online. When I did, it said that it could not process the reservation online and said to talk to the UHaul counter. The UHaul representative again said he could not help me and told me to call customer service, so I did. I was put on hold for awhile, until a random individual had tried to help me and spoke to the UHaul representative. He managed to phone a manager and finally process my reservation, 30 mins 40 mins after I arrived for my reservation, which was 30 mins after my scheduled pick up. Very disappointed in the service and I probably would have been able to get my vehicle if not for the random bystander.
