This was quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul. After confirming that we would be able to pick up the truck after hours without issue via the app, we scheduled for a 4PM pickup, with blankets and securement straps added. When we arrived, the app functioned poorly, and it took 15 minutes to get it to verify our location. We put in the permanent address associated with our drivers license, and thought everything was okay. We made it through all the steps in the app to find that the lockbox was broken and therefore perpetually unlocked (seems irresponsible for the business, seeing as to how easy it would be to steal the keys), and when we got into the Uhaul, there was almost no gas in the truck. The app claimed we should've had 1/4 tank left, but there was barely 1/16. This delayed us further, so we arrived at our location late. When we opened the Uhaul, we found that it was completely empty, with no blankets or straps that we had reserved and paid for inside. We had to frantically run to the only other Uhaul that was open (30 min drive one way) to get the materials. We finally loaded the truck, drove it down, and unloaded it. We then opened the app to begin the after hours return process. We noticed that the app stated our return location was a 50 mile drive away. We were stunned, as the Uhaul representstive we spoke with said there were plenty of locations in the city, and we could pick the most convenient one. I had to call the 24 hr help line, and they informed me that the drop off address is dependent on the address you list for your driver's license information, which we certainly would've changed if we had known (there was NO mention of that in the app). So we found ourselves needing to drop the truck the next day, and had to call the regional distribution center to change the address. Overall, this was a horrendous experience, and not at all what I expected based on the price I paid!

You let me book a reservation starting at 8:30 AM on Saturday 4/13 but this location does not open its doors until 9:00 AM. Understandably, both the mechanics in charge of the U-Haul location and myself were confused about the situation, and it caused me to be late by 30 minutes on a very tight moving schedule we had. No shade to the mechanics at all since they have no control over the booking software, but your online scheduling software must be changed to reflect the actual store hours of the pick up and drop-off locations.

Van worked fine, but was not cleaned from a prior rental; was full of literal dirt and had to be swept out before we could load our stuff.

BETH KWhat impressed me is when I discovered a flat on one of the trailer tires while we were half-way loaded, they just had me stop by on the way to our new home and quickly replaced it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Plus, they also gave me a reduction on rate due to the inconvenience. TERRIFIC service recovery!!
