Be at the location for the time of booking. I had to call U-Haul to get the person down there to deal with the rental.
Scott KThis location is a great example of small town friendly service and convenience. A human (nice and friendly) meets you, completes the necessary process, and hands you the keys. No mobile phones, spotty internet connection, take a picture of this and that while waiting outside in the freezing temperatures. Had a horrible recent experience in Winnipeg in one of those locations where you do a mobile pickup.

navneet bJames and Cathy are a pleasure to deal with. I have rented several times from this location and always had a warm reception. Must be a little flexible on the pickup time. The worst thing to happen is North Air being stuck behind a rail crossing for a half hour, but if you call ahead they are happy to recommend a good time to meet. And, they will get you there every time. Thank you!!!

Susan ANorth Air was very Accommodating with the Pick Up and Drop off of the Trailer. U Haul on the other hand, an "Update" was more of an "Upsell" it wasn't my fault the 5'x7' trailer wasn't available. so $19.95 became $24.95, and the Ramp just got in the way of my use.

JEFF WBy making sure when a person book their truck months in advance that they get it on the day, and not giving it to someone else and making a person have to go out of their way to get something that they didnt sign up for.
RAMONE JJames is always helpful. U-haul on line needs a better system, where the inventory is accurate so a customer can plan their move accordingly.
Darren HI was charged for mileage but should not have been as indicated on my reservation (which I confirmed was a notation for free kms on the file when I attended in person at the Winnipeg location). Fort Frances location did not read the file and they would not help me: gave me a head office number to handle. Action on the file is pending within 72 hrs. They sure charged my credit card fast enough but won’t credit it as quickly.

Joshua RProper attachment for trailer electrical was not provided and they told me i had to go buy one from the local hardware store. They were an hour late. Online support rectified it but in person they did not apologize.

JERAMY JI did self drop-off, but there was ample room to park the truck and the location was convenient to me.
Maxime TI was given a U-Haul with wipers that was totally used, it was almost impossible to see with the sun and even by night. I had to drive more than 1000 miles in those terrific conditions. I reached Calgary finally but physically destroyed !!! I am extremely unhappy and do not understand how come you can do that to your customers. The gentleman from U-Haul with whom I did the drop off can certify all what I am saying.
Malek ZOur whole booking experience was terrible. Two days before we were to get our 26ft truck - we received a call from UHaul stating that they did not have a truck for us. The closest one was in Ft Francis - a 5 hour drive. We drove there only to find they only had a 20 ft truck for us. Therefore we had to leave some of our possessions behind in Winnipeg. We had to cram as much as we could into a smaller truck damaging some of our belongings.
Harvey MUhaul website is always a disappointment, more than once I’ve had a reservation for a rental that wasn’t on the lot. I switched my reservation to fort frances even though I wanted it in Thunder Bay. Happy with James in fort frances. Uhaul customer service outside of the local offices needs work. Unless you book in person I wouldn’t trust on line.

Tara MIf gas was higher level than when you take it a reimbursement for the gas for the extra gas would be nice with the cost so high, i had at least over $100 worth of gas over what I took it with but no reimbursement for the extra they made a nice $100 on top in gas from me
Sam SCheck that the trailer is clean. There was green dust / debris left inside the trailer (we had to sweep it all out ourselves) and there were two dolly's left inside also. The rear door was stiff and could probably use some WD 40. Good customer service at the location. They helped me connect the trailer to my vehicle.
Kevin DThey are a taxi stand and did not have any boxes or other equipment that might be needed for a move. Just a place to pick up your trailer rental or a moving van. One of the staff hooked up my trailer for me. I thank him.
Mark BHad a very bad experience. I took truck for 6 hour rate was $ 39.00 but I he charged me $ 89.00 . I don't want to say more . But have to say too much .
Muzamal HWe wasted a day on our move having to go from Winnipeg, MB to Fort Francis, ON to pick up our trailer. Call was received from UHaul, day before. Wasn’t too happy as (extra trip, extra 900 km return, extra $140 in fuel), a day before we were to take our trip! ( We had to travel another 1400 km to Calgary when we returned with the trailer)! Fort Francis pickup was okay. Younger girl at desk had trouble doing reservation, so she had to call someone else to do it. Trailer was clean, and was hooked up when asked. When we returned to Calgary (after our trip), I was informed trailer chains were not hooked up properly, and chains were no good. Trailer hookup was also not tightened enough! Wasn’t too happy to hear this also! (Trailer was hooked up, and taken off by workers at both pickup and drop off locations). Original quote from Steinbach, MB for trailer was $350, went up to $438 when I reserved it. With extra trip from pickup, extra fuel, extra charges, deposits, etc. just for trailer was $700, for a one way trip. I did not include the extra charges for an overnight stay in Ontario and meal costs to pickup the trailer. For all the fuss, untrained staff, and extra expenses, we will not be using UHaul again. Disappointed in our first time using UHaul, which will also be our last. :(
lyla gWhen I booked on line no one called to let me know the truck I reserved was not available. I had to wait on hold for someone for a long time. Local rep James is great but I did not feel the on line support was very helpful at all.

Jonathan FThe size truck I reserved wasn’t available and I wasn’t told until a few days before my move. I was downsized to a size less than half of what I asked for. The day of, I went to pick up via mobile pick up and my truck wasn’t ready so I called the customer service number and was told to go into the pickup location only to find out that the it is closed on weekends. I finally tracked someone down to talk to and they said the truck had not been returned yet and we would have to wait another hour and to come back then for pickup.

Tara AOwner gave is the extra days to return as we were under the 14 day quarantine when we got home. We brought it back as soon as quarantine was over at no extra cost. Thank you. That relieved a lot of stress.
