Good people....smooth drop off.
Wonderful people at this U-Haul location!
This is a buy here/pay here used car lot that takes advantage of poor people by charging them usurious interest rates. Also, I was never told my truck was at this location, so I had to scramble and get from my preferred location to this one. Additionally, the truck was in awful condition, and was literally painful to drive across the country.
Jose is wonderful at hooking up the trailer. The staff at Plaza Auto and U-Haul were wonderful to work with!
your reservation process is a mess! you must give your credit card first, then you get a location and then the location changes. You need to improve the internet reservation process and/or empower the agents on the phone. Your process is like the movie Catch 22!

I was reserved at a location too many miles from my location which inconvieced me. I was told pickup was at near location near my 1st destination. Which was incorrect.

We dropped off at night in an area called "little Tiajuana." It was fine and I appreciate 24 hour drop off.
Though i have no complaints for this location in general, I do have complaints for the U-haul company and their online services. I had to visit 3 U-haul locations before i finally got the truck that I had already reserved beforehand. The online reservation stated to pick up at one location, but having arrived there i was told that there was no way it could be there and was sent to a second location, where no trucks were even available. It was a waste of time and planning, and also a waste of money having to travel from one end of the city to the opposite side of the city to pick up what should have been at the first location. No one called me to let me know that my truck was at a different location nor did i receive a call that my auto transport was also at a 4th location. All together, I had to visit 4 u-haul locations to finally get my truck and auto transport. Customer service was no help...the first lady I spoke to had a bad connection and told me that there was absolutely no trucks available until after 12. I was also hung up on twice. Finally on my last call, someone transferred me to traffic dept and they were able to get me a truck right way. No one apologized except for the last person i spoke to. I suggest the online reservation services be updated and contact customers of any changes. I wouldn't have known where to go if the first location didn't help me look up my reservation. In the end, I was not compensated in anyway, but was only offered 20 extra miles of which i did not even need. I had to move my things before noon that day from my apartment, and almost missed the deadline because i could not get the truck until after 10...which made me late in moving, and also in turn made me late in picking up my auto transport this location. I arrived about 20-30 minutes before this location was closing. The staff was very polite and helpful and installation even though i had arrived several hours late to pick up the auto transport.

10 years ago, I rented a UHaul truck for a trip from Ft Worth, TX to San Diego, CA. The trip was a nightmare because the truck had problems and we discovered why when the maintenance records were checked when the truck was returned after the trip was complete: two of the scheduled maintenances had been skipped. I have used Uhaul for moves twice now since that experience 10 years ago and decided that it would be good to ask for the maintenance records when renting a truck. First time in Escondido, CA the record was presented with no problem. That trip went well. My most recent rental was different. When we asked for the maintenance record, we were told that they didn't know how to get that information and took no action to learn how. We were on a very tight schedule and left with the truck. The notification on the dash to check a low tire was on as we drove away. We called and were told that it was probably because new tires had been put on the truck and probably a reset was necessary. We checked the tires ourselves and went on with our trip. The truck was new and low milage. The tires looked new. We had no problems with the truck on the road, but would have been happier customers if the people at the place in Houston had been more knowledgeable and willing to make certain that the truck was in good shape. When loading the truck we noticed that it would have been really helpful if there had been an opportunity to tie off the load located higher on the walls. The loading instructions and diagram suggested loading very high, but without the higher tie-off that was not possible. Just a suggestion.

Pick up location was confirmed for the 34th st. location.
It took them OVER 1.5 hrs to find the trailer at a different location (Hammerly) than where I had originally reserved it at.
Due to it was Labor Day weekend, this was a HUGE inconvenience for me, my friends and family, as they already had plans and they were only able to help me for a certain amount of time, some had to bail out being that most of them had plans.
I was extremely frustrated and unhappy of the irresponsibility and inconvenience it caused, not just me, but everyone helping. I had to apologize many times and that made me even more mad because it wasn't my fault.
I want to be FULLY reimbursed for all the frustration, inconvenience and irresponsibility.
Gave me a trailer from 1950 which blew my line to my car lights. I left this place with my lights not working. Delayed my trip one day and I was not happy. Went to a uhaul place on Ella and 18th and was helped out greatly.

Need to check out the vehicle other than just looking for dents and scratches. The steering on this vehicle was in really bad shape including the wheels vibrating or wobbling. But this company took care of business and got me out and on the road. Very happy
This was advertised as a 24 hour dropoff. It is a partial corner lot, with almost no way to get a trailer in. They only took the trailer after i blew up, amd my sane wife argued that they were not honoring a contract with uhaul. They did get bery helpful after the fact. This was beyond poor, and is nothing like advertised. STAY AWAY

Agreed to a accept my one-way trailer return dispute having over-supply on hand. Saved me time and $$ by not having to find another drop off location in an unfamiliar city. GREAT service! Very appreciative of them taking care of me.
The people at this location were very helpful. However, this was NOT the location for which I made the reservation. I was never notified of the change and I would not have known to come here if I had not called the Original location in advance. Also, since this is not a full service center they did not have the pre-paid moving equipment (ratchet tie downs) I had ordered. Big inconvenience, and again, no prior notification that I would have to go to two different locations. I ended up getting my ratchet tie downs from a nearby auto parts store and getting a refund on the U-haul tie downs.

The personnel were extremely helpful in helping me obtain the right hookup parts. One of them even accompanied me to a nearby auto parts store to find the right parts. I was very impressed.
The drop off was a bit too dark. I did ask a gentlemen there and he confirmed it was a drop off for UHAUL.
Also I was under the impression if I returned the unit clean I was supposed to get a $20.00 credit
The Men who were working that day were very nice and went above and beyound to get me a newer trailor for my long distance trip. Wonderful customer service ! Five stars I was so Happy and pleased how how nice they were. Loved there clean location and the bathroom. :-)
Jose Medina did a great job. It was smooth and hassle free, and the cost was what I was expecting.
Price per mile is too high !!!! I don't see how you can justify a .59 per mile charge !!!!
