There was food left in the vehicle in the driver's area. And I made sure that I went in. Not only cleaned it up but I. Also cleaned up the back of the track after I finished using it. So the next person would have a clean truck to use
Debra HeintzThe phone system makes it impossible to reach someone at the actual rental location. When I called during the week, I was routed to some central location. When I needed to speak to someone after dropping off the van after hours, the voice mail system said I could opt to receive a call back within 2-3 minutes. An automated call did come in a few minutes later, but when I pressed 1 to speak to a representative, it hung up on me. That happened two more times before I finally said STOP in the text chain

Todd BeahmThe truck had a lot of visible damage to both sides and the top of the cab. When we initially opened the cargo hatch there was standing water in the front left corner, which they did get a mop and clean. It appeared, however, that there were several roof leaks as there was more water when we arrived to the first location and more when we arrived to the second so my stuff was wet. When I turned the truck on, the check engine light was on. Employee stated it was fine, when I asked if he knew why the light was on he simply said no and stared at me. Refused to update me to another truck and told me to call Uhaul if the light became a problem. Truck made a clanging noise when driven but did not overheat or break down.
KELLY NIHENVehicle was not clean on the inside and the cargo area had not been swept. In addition, U-haul equipment (dolly and blanket) from previous rental were still in the cargo area.

David ZoellnerThe app for checking in the truck after hours sucks. It took 15 minutes to download and then 39 minutes to work thru all the requested information. At the end, I’m not sure if I completely checked out or not, did not get a receipt and can find no record of the rental in the app.

Richard WolcottThe assistant was friendly and helpful. My only small comment is that when I inspected the van I noticed a warning on the instrument panel about a tire sensor fault. I had to go back to the office to ask about this and was told it was awaiting repair. It would have been nice to have been told that before I inspected the van. No big issue, just would have been nice to know before taking the van.

SUSAN LEACHVan was not clean inside or out. Dirtiest windshield I have ever seen. We returned it far cleaner than we got it. Counter person offered to sweep it for us but couldn't do anything else because it isn't a full service location. I suggest uhaul indicate this when making the online reservation.

SHEWIT HAILEThis has to be the WORST experience I ever had renting a vehicle. I tried to use the self pickup option. Nothing worked as advertised. The website and app were both useless. It took a half hour and 3 calls to tech support to get my vehicle, which the app claimed I was already out driving. Check in was just as bad, with no way to get a copy of my receipt that was supposed to tell me how much gas to put in. It took another call to tech support to get that fixed. What a total waste of time. Unless there is not other option I will never rent from U-Haul again.
Dave GardafeeThe lady on site was incredible, she helped me work around a solution - however, the app would not let me process my pick up. I had it scheduled for 8am, however I could not pick up the truck. I had to wait till someone was around the self storage front desk, which didn’t open until 9:30am. I lost an hour and a half due to u-haul’s app not working and allowing me to pick up the truck. Also, trick was dirty upon pick up and gas gauge was incorrectly marked. Included photos at the beginning of initial pick up to show this.

VENU RapoluMy partner and I had made a uhaul reservation, we then got a call later saying they could not fulfill that reservation and that they would find someone to get us a new one for a different location. We ended up having our reservation transferred to another location where we had to upgrade to a bigger then necessary truck, therefore paying more. When we went to look at our reservation it had been canceled and we had to call again to get it reinstated. Once we went to pick up our truck we had to go through the verification process 3 times calling customer help every time because it kept getting canceled. Then too top it all off once we had arrived at our place to load up the truck at midnight the trucks cargo door would not open, no matter how hard we tried. We sat around for 3 hours calling roadside from uhaul because everytime they sent someone they wouldn't ever show up. Finally someone showed up at 4 am and we were able to go, we weren't offered any sort of compensation for all the hardship.

ANGELITA ARQSOUSII don't expect the inside of the vehicle to be spotless but would appreciate that the windows are clean enough to safely drive in the evening/nighttime without having to clean them myself. This has been the case on multiple occasions. The staff is always friendly and courteous.

Andrzej DziusSeveral warning lights like needs oil change, tire pressure warning lights, the windows where so dirty I had to wash all of them to drive the truck. I used this truck for 8 hours and drove 100 miles. The cost was almost $200. I'll look at other options next time.
Scott ClancyI’ve been overcharged at least $50 still waiting for confirmation that it’s been sorted out. The van windshield was disgusting full of bugs could barely see out and the air conditioning did not work.
Thomas GlassUhaul is not very transparent with their policies. I have been overcharged although I declined the insurance part but still had to pay for it. I had my insurance and I opted out during contract signing but still I got charged at the final bill

I was still charged a $25 cleaning fee even tho the truck was filthy and I ended up returning the truck cleaner than I received it since I threw away the old food left by the previous renter. The truck clearly was not cleaned after the previous renter. Why is anyone paying a cleaning fee for a filthy truck?

James DeanWhile I have no idea how to spell his name, the man who checked us in was fantastic and made a potentially stressful check in process quite simple. On the other hand I found a fast food bag and several used bottles in the U-Haul truck when I recurved it, which concerned me because I didn't want to get fined for somebody else's leavings.

Liz BarnesThe gas gauge and chart wasn't accurate. It went down fast and showed at half the trip needing 5.5 ga. so I doubled it for the return trip (original 5.5 + return). Turned out to be 1.5 gals off and I ended up giving Uhaul an extra $15 worth of gas. I'll be a lot more careful next time.
Joseph MunroThe app is buggy. While returning it doesn’t allow to upload photos of odometer. I clicked the photo 20+ times in the way needed but it said ‘there is some issue with the photo’ and doesn’t describe the issue. This makes it hard to u set stand what is going on. Finally I just restarted the whole process again and it worked. Time wastage!

Alfonzo YanezVery nice customer service person. We were 35 minutes late returning our truck because the movers were 1.5 hours late getting to us. They warned us they had a big job before ours but I still felt badly making the next people wait for the vehicle. It would be helpful if U-Haul could figure out how to coordinate this better, since it was all booked on the U-Haul website. We were only able to get the truck for starting at 9:30am if we booked for 3 hours. The mover called one day prior to explain that the earliest he could arrive was 11 and he was closer to 11:30. I couldn’t fix only having the truck until 12:30, so we just rushed as best we could. Not ideal for us, or the next renters. I was thankful that the check in person was helpful and polite.
