The experience was very frustrating. I called to make my reservation, and was told where I could get my truck. On the drive out to the location I received a text message about pre-registering. I got to the location, and nobody was there. I tried to pre-register and the website kept giving me a time-out message within seconds. I called 800-go-haul, and was told the location was closed on Thursdays. I started driving back the 20 miles to town where there were other UHaul locations, was assisted, but the verification process was VERY tedious. Verify, phone number. Verify email. Give a phone number for someone to vouch for me. That last one was difficult, because people are conditioned today to not answer the phone from unknown numbers. Why is this step necessary, when I am supplying a credit card and drivers license. Then I was instructed that this was a self serve facility, so I drove back to the location, and tried to start the process on the website again. It wouldn’t allow me to start because the GPS location thought I was not at the location, even though I was parked right next to the truck. I called again, and was instructed to download the app, instead of using the website. This location was remote, and both the website and the app were slow and timed out frequently.
What would have been nice, is to be instructed about these needs before I departed for the remote location. It would have been nice to know how this would have worked before I headed to the remote location, so I would have known nobody was there, but it was self service.

I had the pickup time selected for 9am. There was no one there at 9. I waited until 9:30, called and they said someone would be there in a few minutes. Still no one at 10am, called again, she said they were on their way. 10:15 before they got there wasting over an hour of my day. She also knew nothing about how the trailer was supposed to be attached.

What you can do, is when a customer goes online and requests a SPECIFIC pickup location, and SPECIFIC equiptment, if that combination is not available..... LET THEM KNOW IMMEDIATELY!! Y ou changed the pickup location and caused us huge issues. The worst experience. WILL NOT ever consider U Haul again and will warm anyone and everyone away from using your.company.
Mind you, the ladies at Richburg Storage could not have been kinder or tried harder, but since they work as a erd party to you, their hands were tied.

The only problem I had was at&t phone reception was horrible, so I couldn't do my pick up on line by myself. I called Adrian with U-HAUL and she took care of everything. She was SO awesome! I would totally recommend using Richburg U-haul to anyone in this area.

Changed pick-up locations at the last moment. Suppose to have 36 furniture pads, only 10 available. It was not the people I actually picked up the truck from mistake, it was U-Haul's problem about not passing on the correct info. Too bad U-Haul themselves don't jave a column here. They would fail .

It's a self-serve storage unit location. There was nobody working when I got there to pick up the trailer at the scheduled time. I had to call U-Haul and get them to try to contact someone. I waited 30 minutes past the appointment time for someone to just show up. It would be nice if I had known this beforehand. I was on a schedule and this messed up my schedule.
Also, I indicated that I did not want the insurance when I made the reservation. The person charged me for insurance and since I was in a hurry I just paid for it. I will not be using this location in the future.

I was supposed to pick up the trailer at 3pm Wednesday. I was contacted by Richburg Storage on Tuesday and asked could I meet them at 5pm instead because of a conflict. I said sure. I show up at 5pm and the gate is locked. at 520pm I start calling the phone number from which I was contacted to change the pick up time (803-872-7324). I called every 5 mins until I finally reached someone at 550 pm. She responded that she forgot and got behind. She arrived at 618pm. My problem is that she changed the pickup time then would not answer the phone and then she did not care that she inconvenienced me for over an hour. By the time paperwork was completed and I left it was 705pm. That is ridiculous and it is unprofessional that all that I was told was "Oh I am sorry but I am real busy." I am a busy person as well and was on a time frame, and that does not seem to matter to your company or business. I hope UHAUL cares because that is pitiful service and the Chester County School District in SC will not be doing any business with UHAUL in the future if this is not resolved. Richburg Storage did not seem to care, I would like to know if your company does.

When we picked the U-Haul up it had less gas then the paperwork said I had to pay at 1 location and pick up at another when we drop the truck of they charge more money we told them the gas was wrong
