The truck was not back when I came to pick it up. I had to wait. When it did return, it had no gas. I was promised a discount if I brought it back with a quarter tank. I put gas into the truck, loaded furniture into the truck and stayed overnight in a hotel. The move to a retirement home for my elderly aunt was to happen the next morning. Before leaving the hotel, I noticed that the Ministry Commercial tag on the truck was expired. This is a huge infraction and this truck was not road worthy. I contacted U-Haul’s roadside assistance. After unloading the furniture into multiple vehicles, a tow truck came to pick up the vehicle, as per U-Haul’s request. I was subsequently charged $160 for not being able to use the truck for my move, and was charged $30 for not returning the truck with gas. The truck was returned with just as much gas as I had received it the day earlier. Poor customer service, poor maintenance of a commercial vehicle - I trust that you will make this right and compensate me for the multitude of issues I encountered in this rental.

Hello we had a great trip I would suggest that you up grade all the head lites on the trucks not bright enough for nite driving. Also the iteams we shipped incurred some damage that now I need to repair at a great cost to me

Arrived at 9:30 to pick up our rental to find no key in the key box. Had to wait until 10:00 when the store opened. The previous customer put the key in the wrong lock box. You folks need a better way to deal with keys and not rely on previous customers. Perhaps a second key should be left by the store in the correct lock box and all customers should drop keys in one common return box. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me. This is a big issue that uhaul needs to address. Also, the van was far from clean. Not really acceptable the way it was.

Reduce the amount of steps for mobile check in. I had to stand there in -4C going through so many steps trying to return the vehicle. Just make it easier to drop off the vehicle.

I was charged twice, second time for the half of the gas tank, even though it was full during drop off. Customer service didn’t get back to me yet. Will not recommend.

I reserved additional equipment with my truck which was not included when I picked duo the truck off hours. Despite marking the equipment as not present during pick up I was charged $100 for missing dolly after return. When I called, the Rep said it would take 3 business days to get back to me with an answer. Who knows if they will even issue a refund. Unacceptable.

I did the advanced sign in and still waited for the guy to sign me in for like half an hour. He then told me not to be late coming back. He didn’t have any of my items ready for me that I bought ahead (tape, boxes and furniture pads). He didn’t seem to know how to use the system and had to call someone to guide him through it. It’s also disgusting in there, the guy was vacuuming up sawdust and it smelled so strong of paint thinner and stain - the guy has wooden furniture everywhere (probably 30) which he is clearly reconditioning - it was hot, smelled and hard to breathe while I waited for him to get through the system. I would never ever go back to this place and it’s sad that U-Haul directed me to go to this place as an option. I had a much better experience at the Burlington U-Haul store (very professional).

Was charged for 3 days after turning in a 2-day rental earlier than the due date/time. Rental from July 11-13 was returned on July 12 at about 930pm, and their mobile returns system would not acknowledge the pictures so I used manual return process. Then I get a receipt the next day saying I returned the car at 1:43pm on July 13th.

You guys are scamming people. I just moved a brand new mattress from a store to my condo (hardly drove 40 km) I was charged a cleaning fee of $25. This was not informed me at any point in time when I booked the vehicle. Don’t scam people.

The vehicle broke down at our first moving location. Seemed like the starter was shot. We called the rental office, they directed us to customer service. Customer service was a 20 min wait before speaking to a real person. They said Roadside would call us in 30 mins. We heard back from them 2 hours later. We played with the ignition a few times until we got it started again, and out of fear of it never starting again, left it running until we dropped it back to the rental office where it inevitably died again. I think this merits a refund.

I was charged hefty amount I would never use uhaul again I had a better price from home depot But I believed uhaul would have better price I would never recomend anybody to use uhal I was told its 0.89 cent per mile and i was charged $1.09 Not fair at all

Requested hand truck (moving dolly) upon arrival. Representative acknowledged forgot to bill me and give me equipment, called back rep informed he forgot and how store closed. Uhaul customer service was willing to find closest location to pick up dolly, but not willing to cover KM/Cost of gas or my time because the location did not bill me so they cant confirm if I requested it or not- my moving took longer than expected because of this. Uhaul rep should have done better. Trash customer service from both parties, will not use or recommend UHaul, would rather use any other company.

My pick up was originally supposed to be in Alliston, Ontario. 2 days before my move, I was advised it has to be in Mississauga, over an hour further!!!! Brutal. No courtesy discount. I was only given an extra 80 kms which covered some of the extra distance I now had to drive, but otherwise nothing for this gigantic inconvenience. I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone!!!!

The guy was a bit rude and the van had a weird smell to it as well. However I had no issue with the pick up and drop off. He did ask for the receipt for how much I gassed during drop off.

The location was not nice when I called the secretary guy was rude, also the van smelled really bad and the brakes made a squeaking sound. I will never rent from here again. I feel I have been overcharged because I only rented the van from 5pm and returned it next morning at 9. I did not have it for even 2 hours to be charged one day

Returned truck mid afternoon on a Friday. Place was locked up. Was able to check out online however no place to leave keys. No lockbox. Waited 30mins for someone to return and take the key. Avoid at all costs.

They sell mango at this pickup location? Found it quite weird, there was no one at the front desk, stood there for a while and the guy selling mango told me to go into the guy's office. Went there to return the truck, guy said he'd be there til 6, came at 5:20 and he wasn't there

I did not ask or agree to the insurance- there WaS A computer problem – the franchisee called the Uhaul head office on the speaker home to remove it the CSR screamed at the operator and hung up pls remove the 15 insurance charge – I am cover with my own automotive insurance which confirmed with my company. Customer service in Mississauga was lacking-I had to wait as the "greeter" ate some food, passing on the task to his assistant who was busy with another client. The Sarnia location had excellent and responsive CSRs and a clean and well-organized operation.

The man working took my key and said he would email my receipt. He did not and then i received a call from uhaul saying that I did not return my truck. The rude man working claimed the truck was not there but it turned out he was not even at the location. After an hour on the phone he finally chose to submit his response that the uhaul was in fact returned and in his parking lot. I will never use this location again!!!!

I had so much trouble getting the van because the hours say they’re open from 10 AM to 6 PM, I got there at my pickup time which was 2 PM and nobody was there. I finally get the van around 3PM. Then, I’m on the highway and there’s no windshield wiper fluid in the van. I got the van with 3/4 gas in it. I bring it back 1/16 less than the 3/4 and I am charged with $15 for not filling up. I am very upset and I won’t be using this service. This was a very terrible experience for me especially from this establishment.

Was suppose to be open at 9 - didn't get there until 1030. Our pick up time was 10. We had an elevator booked and we were left with less than an hour to get our stuff moved by the time we were able to get all the paperwork done and get back to the apartment. One of the blankets had something on it and it got on our stuff and hands. The vehicle engine light was on and we raised it to the attendees attentions but the guy said it was fine not to worry. Not very comforting. Would avoid using Uhaul again.
