I had a lot of problems with phone check-in. Luckily a representative shoee we d up shortly and helped. Even he could not make connection work. He finally just pushed me through the paperwork & I signed. He was great, the phone/app sucked

william R.I was scheduled to pick up a trailer at 9:00 AM, store opening time. The lady came 20 minutes earlier to prepare for opening, saw me waiting outside and let me in 10 minutes before 9. I appreciate that a lot, she did not have to do this but she did and that means she cares for the customers. I was in a big rush and those 10 minutes meant a lot.

JONATHAN R.I know it wasn't the fault of the drop off location, but I do have a concern about Uhaul in general. I dropped off the truck 1 day early. It was clean just like when we picked it up in Ann Arbor. My son took photos of the inside of the truck and cab as requested by Uhaul, at the time of drop off. At 2:49 pm on Sunday, September 17th, I received an email saying all was good and there was not any additional charges. Then at 2:59 pm, I received an email saying there would be a $25.00 cleaning charge. I know the truck was as clean as when we picked it up. I believe this is Uhaul's way of getting more money out of it's customers. Because of this, I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

Location attempted to force me to take safemove insurance for a local use 2 hour rental. I was told they would not rent to me if it was not added, even though I declined it in reservation. It was their policy at that location to require insurance for all rentals. I was told I would need to go elsewhere. I will not be back to this location.

Should make make sure all equipped is working properly before charging customer for mileage overage, while Uhaul equipment is not working correctly. Could have caused an accident.

Randy H.I got there at my reservation time. The truck was not ready for me. The windshield had a complete sheet of ice. I had to sit there for 30 minutes to even get the ice to budge. Even after the fact of waiting, I still couldn't get the ice off my mirrors, so therefor I could really see while driving. When I went to load up the uhaul, the whole back was completely frozen shut. I had to pour hot water on it and bang on it to get the ice to break. This took another 40 minutes out of my time. When I returned the vehicle the guys was extremely rude even after telling him all of this and said “you rented itâ€. I don't think I'll ever use U-haul again being I had this happen.

The male employee here- Between my reservation being cancelled, being lied to that the same truck was no longer available just to find out it was, then being told we could only rent it for 4½ hours, also receiving a threat (that same evening) that he would report the truck stolen if not returned. I had extended my time. But I need to share everything about my experience, not to dispute anything. Every communication made with this man was a chore, to say the least nicely. Please, do call me. James C.Truck was a mess. It did work and run, but the inside door handle was falling apart. The outside was a disaster, it's hit & rubbed/scraped on multiple things in its past. It needs to be fixed and painted. The dolly and bags secured to the inside of the truck just get in the way, we were left with 3 items that didn't fit because of those. If I wanted them, I would have purchased them ahead of time. If someone realizes later they need them, that's their fault and they should drive yo a uhaul location and pick one up. Don't short change everyone else on room. Trucks should be provided at full gas, you charge people to refill them, but yet you receive them below full and then I overpay on gas because it's quite difficult to estimate while pumping and still drive it to the drop off location. Stop ripping people off. The pictures provided to show current damage to the truck on checkout are too far away. I was unable to tell from the pictures what damage is already accounted for. When I returned the vehicle, I was told to go to uhaul.com/share to do the after hour vehicle return. The phone number and last name inputs did not show we have a contract. So I was unable to do it there. I called uhaul and did the call me back feature due to the long hold time. I received a text 1 hour later asking how my call with Keisha went from uhaul, I didn't receive that call back till 2 hours later…. I'm the meantime I went back to my text messages from checkout and realized there was a return vehicle link provided (wasn't instructed to use that though), which allowed me to return the vehicle. The lady that helped us was very nice and helpful though, we were very pleased with the customer service at checkout.

I agreed to insurance not realizing it only covers burglary which isn't said when signing the contract. The biggest problem was mice. I had a very expensive mattress and multiple boxes with contents chewed and ruined from mice. For the cost and being an indoor facility, I would expect a more proactive approach. I did not visit the unit often to know mice were such a problem. The fact that I had to pay for a full month even if I moved out a few days into the month was a problem. I understand it may be complicated refunding tenants, but there should be a better solution than charging for a full month. Even only paying for a week would have saved me a lot of money. The staff was always polite so that was the nice part of using this facility.
