frank pikeThe vehicle and trailer were dropped 36 hours early, the location was already closed. The next day I received an email stating we were being charged for 785 excess miles and $815+. We had the truck for approximately 12 hours so this was impossible. I called the pickup location and was put in a queue. I called the drop off location and after about 30 minutes on the phone they admitted they'd read the mileage incorrectly and we were under the contracted miles allowed. They contacted the Haul district manager and we received a new statement with a $0.00 balance. Issue corrected but it was a bit frustrating.

BRIGHT WIGFALLMy reservation was changed multiple times starting off picking up in the area of my former residence, being changed to another area without notice, picking up in the area of my new residence through the app, picking up in person 2 hours later to being charged an additional $377.37 that was never disclosed to me. I will never recommend using Uhaul to anyone. I will however do what’s necessary to get reimbursed the $377.37 as well as any additional expenses accumulated in doing so. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

CHRISTOPHER KIRTLEYIt wasn’t the location that was the problem. IT WAS YOUR APP THAT QUIT WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF ME TRYING TO PICK UP MY TRUCK!!!!!! I used Truckshare because I needed the truck much earlier than the location opened, and you nearly left me stranded! I had to go through the Roadside Assistance option to get to a live human being when I called customer service, and I literally was on hold for 20 minutes when the owner of this location just happened to come in two hours early. Thanks to him I was able to get the truck and leave only an hour late, but had it not been for that, your company’s failures nearly ruined my entire plan for moving. I will NEVER use Uhaul again!!!!!!!
Letha RobertsFirst let me say I have rented from this location several times in the past and it was always a good experience. But the experience I had on this most recent visit was very unpleasant. After signing the contract I was given a truck key and told to find the truck by matching the I.D. number on the key tag with the number on the truck. Well the identification number is on the dash inside the truck cab so I had to walk the lot and try unlocking truck doors in order to find my truck. After a couple attempts I found the truck I had been rented. Truck cab was dirty inside and had an unpleasant order. I did a walk around to check for any damages since the agent didn’t come out with me. Found a crack that ran almost the entire width of the windshield. Also, the truck had 1/4 of a tank less gasoline than what had been indicated on my contract. This means I would have to purchase extra gasoline that I would not have used prior to returning the truck. After these things were discovered I went back inside to report what I had discovered to the U-Haul Representive. She said if there was an X on the windshield that indicated they already knew about it and it was okay meaning I would not be held responsible for it. She showed no concern as to if it was safe to operate. As for the fuel discrepancy, my contract indicated the truck had 7/8 tank when the fuel gauge actually showed 5/8 tank of fuel. After a couple of attempts on my part to explain this 1/4 tank difference, and after the agent stated the gauge was wrong, she added two separate handwritten notations to my copy of the contract. First one indicating 3/4 tank, which was still inaccurate, and then a second note indicating 5/8 tank of fuel. While checking in and signing the contract this U-Haul Representive had been friendly and courteous. However, her attitude changed once I returned inside the business to report the issues I had found with the rental truck. She was unprofessional and rude. The last contact I made was with a store manager who resolved the fuel discrepancy in a professional manner. To improve for the next customer I suggest trucks should be inspected for cleanliness and safety before being rented and U-Haul Representive should listen to customer concerns without becoming rude and disrespectful.

Benjamin SteeleI rented two 26 foot trucks from this location in the past two weeks. The first truck (Contract #29100070) was in excellent condition, clean inside & out & drove like a new truck, truck #JH2932J 49K miles. No problems with vehicle whatsoever and the move went great! This truck,(Contract #70175001 Truck #JH3796F 76K miles) was dirty/mudddy inside & out of the box,damages to the lower air fairings and wheel openings and had a MAJOR driveline shimmy between 30 & 35mph,which made traversing small towns with 35mph speed limits a problem since the only way to avoid the drivetrain vibration was to either do under 30 or over 40mph. the paperwork claimed the truck would have 1/4 tank of fuel but was literally empty when I got in it. The owner of this location(#28625)Mike Oberst wrote on my paperwork that the truck was indeed on E due to local theft/vandalism and noted this on my receipt,initialed it and attached his business card instead of making a new receipt. I returned the truck with 1/4 tank of fuel at my own expense to avoid any sort of misunderstanding on the finishing end of the rental, where the gentleman stated after I showed him the receipt from the first location that the computer stated that it should have 1/4 tank.I left it that. I also asked for an extra days rental because expecting 2 people to move a 4 bedroom home, drive 300 miles and unload it all in 48 hours is literally obscene, and was charged $40 for the extra day instead of the $14.00 safe move price. The $40 for the extra day and the free !/4 tank @$45 was a pretty big disapointment. As a frequent flyer of UHaul products(easily 5-10 times yearly),having spent over $700 for trucks in two weeks and still needing two more rentals this month, this experience was less than favorable figuring I'll be needing an auto transport and a 6x12 to complete my move within the next two weeks. All employees were extremely accommodating throughout these transactions, and are not particularly responsible for any of the misfortunes experienced. Thank you for your interest. Stephen D'AlessioI got charged for a cleaning fee and fuel. I swept that damn truck thoroughly and replaced the amount of fuel that was I drove the truck less than 5 miles both ways. The fuel was just a notch over half and I put fuel back in the tank. These charges are a rip off. And I didn't keep the truck the whole 24 hours either.
